Hello everyone! A bit late, but I have returned with another update! Truth be told I managed to get this one done and ready just before Valentines Day, but I kinda stalled trying to make sure it was good and ready. Anyway, I hope that you all will enjoy the simple read.
Upon a simple quiet boat, the group heading for Monoko are all taking it easy. Though this specific ship isn't a majorly luxurious one like a cruise ship, it's still well equipped for people to relax and take it easy, as well as for trainers to keep in form and prepare for their next journey.
Speaking of which…
"I've been itching for a rematch Pierce!" Holly called with a laugh as she tossed a PokeBall up into the air and catching it as it came down.
"Couldn't agree more," Nathen said with a chuckle as he stood after cycling his aura around the main part of the training area stabilizing, reinforcing, and creating a barrier to let their Pokemon go all out. "Time to finally break the tie?"
"Damn right!" Holly said as she stood ready.
At the sidelines, Gemma, Amber, Trayton, and May were sitting by watching.
"Wait, so you both have a long-standing battle history?" Trayton asked looking to them both.
"Yup," Holly said smiling as she tossed her PokeBall letting out her Infernape Blaze. "What is it now between these two, 49 Wins, 49 Losses, 1 Tie?"
"I believe so," Nathen said with a smile as he tossed out his PokeBall and let his Lucario Hero out.
When the two caught each other's eyes they both smirked and instantly got in position to battle.
"Wait these two have battled over 100 times?" Trayton asked amazed by the standing strength before a shiver went up his spine. Even untrained eyes could easily tell and sense an intense aura pouring out of the two who were itching to start their battle.
"What was the tie to though…? I thought that it was always a one for one, win loss thing for them." Gemma said as she tried to think. "When one of them won one match, they'd lose the next and go like that back and forth."
"It was the Monoko conference Semi-Finals…" Nathen said calmly catching Gemma's and Holly's attention. "Holly and I were in the Semi-Finals against each other, we were going one for one knocking each other's Pokemon out, but Blaze managed to knock me down to only Hero and she still had one more left. The two battled it out intensely leaving the field in shambles, but sense they knocked each other out and Holly still had one more, she won the match. But because she was riding the high of that match and didn't get much time to prep and steady herself, she lost the Final Round Match."
"Still, it was obviously the most intense and grand standing highlight match of the whole conference!" Holly said with a soft laugh. "Okay Blaze, ready to settle the score?"
"Infer!" Blaze said with a nod as the flame on his head burned brightly and fiercely.
"How about you Hero?" Nathen asked already obvious of the answer.
"Lucar!" Hero said nodding as his aura started spiking.
"Okay you two, on my call." Gemma said giggling softly before looking to Nathen. "What you were doing earlier, it was to let them have their fun and not end up smashing the boat, right?"
"Oh yeah, there's no way I'm gonna have them hold back," Nathen said as he punched his fist into his hand and smirked. "Hero, we're gonna break this tie and take victory, you have my permission to go all out!"
"Car!" Hero said with a chuckle as his aura spiked even further.
"That goes double for you Blaze!" Holly said with a giggle and laugh an eager shine in her eyes.
"I'm sorry, did you say to stop them from smashing the ship?" Trayton asked a nervous tone to his voice.
"Begin!" Gemma called laughing softly.
"Mach Punch!" Nathen and Holly called as the two rival Pokemon disappeared and a sudden shockwave was felt as the two connected their attacks.
"What the hell was that?!" Trayton asked as he pulled himself up after getting knocked back from the shockwave.
"Blaze has gotten faster." Gemma said with a bright smile to her face as she carefully and quickly watched the two disappear again and continue the high-speed attacks.
"Is she really able to follow them…? I can barely even see their strikes." Amber said to herself as she watched Gemma's eyes dart around. "Gemma, sorry to pull you away from this but could you explain?"
"Huh? Oh, sure," Gemma said calmly maintaining a smile. "Let's see, like how Nathen explained, when Hero and Blaze battled in the Monoko Conference Semi-Final match, they pretty much totaled and completely destroyed the battle field, which is an odd miracle as to them being able to restore the field for the finals that night."
"Alright, lets change things up," Holly called. "Get in close and use Mach Punch and send him flying with an uppercut!"
"Carry it and follow with a High Jump Kick!" Nathen called out.
"Anyway, Nathen before they started used his aura to reinforce the whole area within the major battle area. I suppose you could really consider it as what we'd use for a barrier, but instead it keeps all the attacks and combat right within it, just watch." Gemma said as she pointed to Blaze who appeared low right below Hero and delivered a fast, sharp uppercut sending them both high into the sky.
Nathen grew a smirk as when they disconnected Hero rode the acceleration and flipped back and pressed firmly against an artificial ceiling before kicking hard off it. He then delivered a hard kick into Blaze forcing him hard into the ground. The force of the attack sent a strong shock all through the barrier bringing it to be seen, but when the dust of the impact settled Blaze easily stood and stretched out popping his body and muscles. Hero was also a few paces away doing the same, at the ground where Blaze was standing the floor had no damage done.
"If Nathen hadn't reinforced the area, the impacts from earlier likely would have left some small force craters, Hero's impact in the ceiling if he had properly cushioned before kicking off would have torn a large hole in it from the sudden force, and that High Jump Kick's impact would have drove Blaze straight through the floor." Gemma said keeping a straight face and smile as she watched. She giggled softly as May climbed onto her lap while her Flareon Flara appeared beside her.
All around them other trainers were gathering to see what was going on.
"Looks like we got an audience," Nathen said with a soft laugh as he looked around before looking to his Lucario. "All warmed up Hero?"
"Lucar!" Hero said with a smirk and nod as he got himself back into stance.
"How about you Blaze?" Holly asked.
"Infernape!" Blaze called after taking a deep breath and he nodding as he got into his own stance.
"All that was a warm up?"
"Who are these two?"
"How are those two that strong?"
Varying people were all chatting and talking about the battle going on.
"Okay Hero, ready Bone Rush," Nathen said calmly as he analyzed the battlefield.
"Blaze, ready up Fire Punch." Holly said as she looked straight ahead at Nathen.
"Now use Close Combat!" Both said as Hero and Blaze rushed straight into combat.
The two powerful Pokemon met in the middle going through swift hard strikes. Hero combined Fighting and Ground with accurate and precise strikes of his Bone staff while Blaze combination utilized Fire and Fighting.
An untrained eye watching the fight would notice and pick out the few honest hits and slight signs of pains that result from the hits, but as for Gemma, Holly, and Nathen, they could tell these hits were more like grazes and hardly anything major. All the aggressive attacks were blocked, dodged, or deflected.
With one last major strike the two rivals were thrown apart.
"Sucks that I can't use Dig here… But I doubt it'll do much considering the aura training he has…" Holly said to herself as she watched the Pokemon breathing slow and steady but noticed that Hero was starting to look tired. "I think Hero may be out of practice… That's just no fun…"
"What's no fun?" Nathen asked looking over at Holly.
"I'm getting the feeling Hero's out of practice, definitely not out of shape, but it feels like he hasn't had a solid battle in a long time." Holly said sighing softly.
"I'm afraid you're correct," Nathen said with a soft chuckle and sigh. "But he's still kept pace with Blaze and his obviously increased speed."
"That may be but it's just not the same," Holly said as she pouted. "Blaze you feel it too, right? It doesn't feel right, and should we win it wouldn't feel like a real win."
"Infer, ape Infernape," Blaze said with a sigh and nod as he relaxed his stance.
Hero sighed before chuckling as he sat down while holding the long Bone staff against him.
"I suppose we'll call it here for now, pick up a proper rematch after I've gotten Hero back to proper form?" Nathen said with a soft chuckle as he snapped his fingers dropping the barrier. "Would you both be okay with that? Adding one more draw to score cards."
"Lucar," Hero said calmly nodding with a smile as Flara ran over to him.
"Infernape," Blaze said with a soft sigh and nod as he walked over to Hero and held his hand out.
Hero smiled as he took his hand and stood shaking it.
"Next time, I'm gonna settle this tie!" Blaze said with a snicker and a smirk.
"I hope that it'll be a case where you're prepared to lose." Hero said a smirk and soft laugh. "It's been way too long my friend."
"We'll see, and yeah it has," Blaze said smiling softly.
"Hero, Blaze, go ahead and go sit to catch up," Nathen called as he walked over to Gemma and the others.
The two nodded and walked off to a nearby wall with Flara following.
"Man, I wish we could have had a full straight battle again…" Holly sighed as she sat down on the bench with Nathen and Gemma.
"Let's try for a simple 3v3 while in Monoko." Nathen said with a soft chuckle and sigh.
"Really quick, what's the score card between you two?" Trayton asked as he looked to them.
The two shared a quick look to think things through before speaking together. "5 Wins, 5 Losses."
"Wait you both have only seriously battled 10 times and are tied just like them? Where did their 100 battles come from then?" Trayton asked in disbelief.
"Mostly training, but whenever those two fought they were always really serious so while they weren't proper matches we counted them as proper fights and training between the two of them." Holly said as she looked over to the three Pokemon all talking. "Believe me, Nathen and I tried getting them to only acknowledge the 10 battles he and I had in full and not their training spars, but they just pushed and stayed at it."
"Even with such a strong rivalry, they still look like great friends." Amber said smiling softly watching them.
"They are," Nathen said smiling softly as he leaned back on the bench.
"You doing okay Nate?" Gemma asked looking to him.
"Huh? Yeah, I'm alright, just thinking." Nathen said calmly as he stood.
"What about?" Holly asked.
"Just how everything will go… Everyone out and about doing their own things, and then our visit to Monoko…" Nathen said with a soft sigh.
"I'm sure that everyone's doing fine, Vahn and Karina are likely taking a walk down memory lane and Hope is probably going about her introduction and lessons with Professor Birch. Alice's group is likely making their way through the desert right now." Trayton said calmly. "Monoko is the mystery though, what all will we be there to do?"
"Mom and Dad are going to see old friends… Gemma, Holly and I will be visiting Gem's parents…" Nathen said calmly before standing and stretching. "Gem, I'm gonna be in yours, mine, and Holly's room. I need to figure out our camouflage for while in Monoko…"
Gemma's expression fell a bit which Amber picked up, but she smiled and nodded. "Okay, I'll be keeping an eye on May and will be by later to check on you."
Nathen smiled and nodded before taking his leave of the training grounds.
"Why would we need Camouflage…?" Trayton asked.
"It's nothing you need to worry about Trayton…" Gemma said calmly as she gently rubbed over her wrists.
"We're going to Monoko… What Nathen said way back in Oak Town…" Amber said to herself. "It must be something involving this Team Existence…"
"Fine fine," Trayton sighed.
"Hey Gemma… Could I please have a word with you and Holly, in private?" Amber asked standing up. "Sorry Trayton, but could you please stay here for now to watch over May?"
"Yeah," Trayton said as he watched the three girls walked off.
"Where'd Gemmy and Big Brother go?" May asked after running over with Flara.
"Gemma and Holly went to talk with Amber," Trayton said calmly smiling to her. "Your big brother went off to his room on the boat to work on something."
"Oh, Okay." May said smiling softly.
"Go ahead and play with your Pokemon and Flara," Trayton said smiling softly. "I'm sure Gemma, Holly and Amber will be back soon."
"Okay." May said smiling softly as she ran off with Flara.
In the halls…
"What is it that you wanted to talk about Amber?" Holly asked.
Amber sighed as she rested against the wall. "Gemma… Nathen told you about the confrontation I had in Oak Town during the Pokemon Contest… Right?"
"Yeah… Yeah he told me while he was picking me up on the mountain before we were snowed in…" Gemma said as she looked down. "What's this about Amber?"
"Gemma… What Nathen's working on, this camouflage… It's to be used to hide from Team Existence, isn't it…?" Amber asked looking to her.
Holly seemed surprised to hear that she knew about Existence, when she looked to Gemma she saw the same surprise but concern as well.
"Yes, Holly, Nathen, and I have a long-standing bad history with them in Monoko… They're actually heavily searching for Nathen and me for a long-standing plan of theirs…" Gemma said sighing softly. "He's working on a means of keeping us all hidden… Why do you ask Amber? What's this about?"
"After he healed me, and I recovered, I asked Nathen about what Team Existence was sense the man I battled… Joel… said he was a member of TUA's Team Existence research branch…" Amber said calmly. "His response was to ask you, or to visit Monoko… We're going to Monoko now, and I'm getting this tense feeling… I shouldn't pressure you for answers, but I'm also feeling that I shouldn't go about exploring Monoko for answers without being prepared or careful…"
"Well you definitely have that right…" Holly said speaking up.
"Nathen and I actually met with Joel on our way up the mountain… He attacked us only knowing that we were targets with implants… Not that we were overly high value… but sense we spoke of you, he may have reported about it… though he said he was more of a mercenary than anything else… so I don't know…" Gemma said looking down. "You and Trayton could likely be a target now… I'm sorry Amber…"
"Gemma, just please tell me what I would need to know… I have this feeling… Joel never lost… He lost to me, he'll likely come after me to correct this blemish…" Amber said as she clenched her hands. "I don't want Trayton or anyone else to end up in danger because of this… And you've guided and been there for us for so long… This is an obvious danger and threat to you, I want to be able to protect you too…"
Gemma let out a sigh as she gently bopped Amber's head before hugging her. "You're too kind and sweet for your own good Amber… we'll be okay… Nathen, Holly and I have plenty of experience dealing with them, and I have that big oaf always looking out for me when it comes to them." Gemma said smiling softly as she stepped back. "Plus, with the greater majority of their operatives having specialized modifications and implants, we can fight on even terms. For you though, if you can analyze your opponent's Pokemon Type…"
"Which is typically depicted by the main Pokemon they use, and the type they specialize in." Holly said speaking up.
"Yes, that's right," Gemma said calmly. "Study the Pokemon they use, find the common type and the major one they use, it'll typically be their last if they have multiple or their only one. From there strategize with your present Pokemon and attack with moves that they'd be weak to."
"Take me for example," Holly said as she looked around before lighting up her wrists and her ankles. "I am implanted with Blaziken genetics. Which is a Fire Fighting type, what would you utilize to beat me if I was an agent?"
"Water obviously… But as a whole, I'd use Water, Ground, Psychic, and Flying." Amber said thinking calmly.
"Correct," Holly said as she dropped her flames. "Gemma are you okay to do so?"
"Yeah, I'll be alright." Gemma said as she took a deep breath and pulled out a PokeBall to let out her Flamolf. "My implant is a like species Pokemon to Flamolf here, he's a Fire type, but carries capabilities of using more Dark Type moves more regularly."
"So, for now, it'd be Water, Ground, and Rock type, right?" Amber asked. "What about Nathen?"
"He's a bit trickier…" Holly said as she scratched her head.
"How so?" Amber asked as she looked to the both of them.
"Nathen, like very few, but probably more commonly with the major higher ups, is someone with multiple implants." Gemma said calmly which confused and surprised Amber.
"Back in the day, Existence was most prominent in Monoko but has gone quieter sense we dealt them a blow some years back." Holly said calmly. "But back then, Existence was most likely to only implant someone with a single strand of Pokemon DNA. Nathen, as I'm certain he's said once or twice, was apparently TUA's Guinee Pig to do various experiments with. And as a good faith prospect, they let Existence implant into him to try and boost his aura but also to try going about multiple implants."
"Yeah… He's been implanted with three different Pokemon Genetics, Arcanine DNA, Lucario DNA, and Blazolf DNA." Gemma said with a sigh. "But, apparently from what he told me when he met me on the mountain the Blazolf DNA somehow evolve to Wolferno DNA."
"I've been keeping ears on Existence as best I can, but I've never heard of that occurring." Holly said looking to Gemma.
"I'm gonna bet it's due to TUA doing more experiments…" Gemma sighed. "Anyway, because of this layout, he carries Fire in two fronts, Dark, Fighting, and Steel. You could even consider him to have Aura Type through Lucario depending on the regions ideas of Lucario's typing."
"Some of those counteract each other though… Fire would hurt Steel and Fighting would hurt Dark…" Amber said as she tried to figure the layout of the types.
"Not always, look at the Unova Pokemon Scraggy and Scrafty, they're Dark Fighting types." Holly said speaking up. "And there's also the Pokemon Heatran, which is Fire Steel. The types may not fully adhere normally, but they can mix well."
"Does Nathen have any kind of physical changes?" Amber asked.
"Well there are a few actually," Gemma said. "Like myself, he can light a flame up his arms from his wrists, but when we traveled Monoko, he had these metal plates physically attached to the backs of his hands, and parts of his hair were black and acted a lot like how on a Lucario."
"And this isn't overly physical, but his Speed was stupidly increased, like something you could never expect to be possible." Holly said with a laugh. "He and I would race a lot and it was often or not hard to keep the lead or proper pacing, and Gemma here whenever she rode on his back would call him her trusty Arcanine."
Gemma giggled lightly and blushed. "All that aside, if you do happen to battle a multi implant operative, I'd honestly say it's best to attempt to determine what type is most effective, use it, and work on running away."
"Yeah, don't try to push and move to fight recklessly with operatives like them." Holly said nodding. "Are you taking all this in well and do you have any other questions?"
"Yes, I am, and no I don't, thank you for talking to me about this Holly, Gemma." Amber said smiling softly. "I'm sure it must've been hard to bring this info up… I just… sense having fought Joel, I'm worried we'll end up running into more people like him along the road… So, I want to be prepared and ready."
"That's a good mindset to have," Holly said with a soft smile. She glanced at Gemma and noticed a slight shake to her form. "You go ahead and head back to Trayton and May, I'm gonna take Gemma here to Nathen."
"Wait what? Why?" Gemma asked snapping from her thoughts looking to Holly.
"Alright, we'll look after May for the time being." Amber said smiling softly as she walked off back to the training room while Holly started pushing Gemma off to their room.
"Why do we have to go to Nathen? He's busy." Gemma said in protest as she was being led along.
"Yes, but talking about Existence has started making you shake," Holly said as she led Gemma along to the hall their room was in. "So even if it's to just sit and relax, you need your trusty companion by you to help you relax."
"Holly…" Gemma said pouting and sighing as they came up to the room. When she looked at the doorknob seeing a metal box on top of the handle, she sighed and stepped forward pulling a card from her pocket. "Fine…" Gemma then inserted the card and entered the code Nathen used causing the light on the box to turn blue and the door to unlock. "Nathen we're coming in."
As they walked in the room was more like a fully furnished luxury two-bedroom apartment. Directly in front of them Nathen was busy at work in the living area. Directly to their left was the kitchen area. In the hall to the right was the two bedrooms, bathroom, and a single standing washer and dryer.
"Seriously, how're you able to do this?" Holly asked as she walked into the kitchen while Gemma walked to the couch and plopped down.
Nathen was busy sitting at his desk humming as he worked on a few small shields. A light blue cord was running from ear to ear behind his head and neck.
"Listening to his music while he works…" Gemma muttered and sighed as she grabbed a throw pillow and tossed it at Nathen. She pouted when it stopped midair a small bit away from him a blue light around it.
"Yes?" Nathen asked with a sigh as he pulled the headphones from his ears letting them fall over his shoulders before turning in his chair to look to Gemma.
"How's it going?" Gemma asked looking to him. She was slouching back against the couch an irritated look to her.
"Going fine, the shields are pretty much done, and I believe the program is ready." Nathen said as he picked up his experiment. It was a simple blue shield stylized on the Valor family crest. "Something wrong Gemma?"
"She's just pouty because I made her come here to rest and ease her nerves." Holly said as she walked back over with a few drinks.
"Nerves over what?" Nathen asked as he moved in his seat to have it face them properly.
"We just finished a chat with Amber about Team Existence, giving her some pointers about dealing with operatives and battling against them." Holly said calmly. "Gem and I had to talk of our implants with her, and Gemma here managed to work through speaking about her own with Flamolf beside her. She pretty much has the thought process pretty well down in treating their battles and confrontations as natural battles and to depict what their type weaknesses are."
"Good to hear…" Nathen said calmly as he looked to Gemma. He quickly noticed Gemma was still shaking and trying to be still and firm up her position to hide it. "Kinda surprised she actually got any information out of you but given where we're going and what she went through, I do understand her wanting to learn and you giving her advice."
"Yeah… I couldn't just let her go forward without a few answers…" Gemma sighed as she brought her legs up and curled up on her seat. "So… what do you have planned to hide us?"
"A simple camouflage… it on mass works around the wearers biometrics and pushes their aura to a stable level and strength that it'll hide them from any scanner." Nathen said calmly. "Also, relative to presently known Existence agents and their likely rosters growth, as well as a scavenged Existence badge from the Harmonic Incident. Any and all operative wearing one or carries a matching biometric or aura signature won't be able to perceive or even see us clearly."
"Wait how is that possible?" Holly asked. "That seems like a hell of a trick to mask ourselves that completely."
"It's not perfect, if we use our abilities or try to use our aura in excess, it'll cause the shield to malfunction." Nathen said calmly. "And I do understand an issue with using this on Gemma's parent's home sense it already a readily watched place and having it suddenly disappear will cause suspicions to rise, so I'll have a special one set up there that will cause people matching certain biometrics become invisible to radar and people such as us will be masked entirely as per the personal shields."
"Still seems somewhat farfetched and over the top… But even back then you were rather inventive with keeping us hidden and being able to fool them, so I know you'll manage it with these tools." Holly said with a soft chuckle.
"I'll certainly do my best." Nathen said as he looked to Gemma. "Hey Gemma, why don't you go get ready to lie down for a bit, the showers are set to give water we should be very comfortable in."
"Okay…" Gemma said with a soft sigh as she stood and walked to the bathroom.
Both Holly and Nathen watched her go over to the bathroom before looking to each other and sighing.
"She's never been this aloof before…" Holly muttered.
"I don't think it's all from the talk and the factor that we're going back to Monoko…" Nathen said calmly. "There's a lot that's gonna be going on, she'll be seeing her parents again… the overall threat is still looming over us… and now we need to be able to prepare others for their possible threat… I'm gonna try and give her as much time to relax without worries while we're in Monoko… And to cause as little trouble myself as I can…"
"Why would you cause trouble… Oh, right… I doubt her mother Carol would have any problems, but her father on the other hand… Markus has been rather irritable with any mention of you whenever I called in with some kind of news or various information for them or just to check in…" Holly sighed before looking to Nathen who had a down look. "It'll be okay Nate, you seem to have already gotten them done or at least part way done, why don't you take some time to sleep… Worrying about making her parents happy after everything will just stress you out and keep you from properly being able to relax. I mean yeah you and Alice are just now on a break, but you should be taking this time to relax with Gemma, give her the basic boyfriend girlfriend life she was wanting years ago."
"Yeah…" Nathen said calmly with a soft sigh as he sat back in his chair. "I suppose you're right. I'll deal with that hurdle when the time comes… It's still at least another full day until we get to Monoko. I should use the time to finish preparations and to spend time with her."
"Definitely, I'll go give her some fresh clothes then go watch after May for you guys." Holly said as she walked to the bedrooms. "After she finishes her shower, you take one and then go to bed yourself. After all the stress you've had bottled up you could do with a good nap sense we couldn't have a decent battle."
"Alright, alright." Nathen said with a soft laugh. "Thanks Holly,"
"No problem, what kind of Guardian would I be if I didn't look after my best friends." Holly said with a soft laugh as she walked back to the hallway and towards the bathroom with a comfortable set of pajamas for Gemma.
After Holly left the clothes in the bathroom she took her leave of the room and made her way to the upper deck where May, Trayton, and Amber had gone off to play.
When Gemma was all finished she stepped out to the living area, her hair was down completely, her pajamas were a thick soft material and consisted of a pair of black pajama pants spotted with little red hearts and roses, and a red button up pajama shirt of the same material. A light red was on her face as under the shirt was one of Nathen's shirts that Holly had snuck to her.
"I'm gonna go lay down now…" Gemma said softly as she looked to Nathen before turning to the bedrooms.
"Alright, I hope that you enjoyed the shower Gem." Nathen said smiling to her.
"I did, it's nice to be able to actually relax in water that's hot enough it doesn't irritate us Fire types." Gemma said with a soft chuckle as she walked into the bedroom and climbed into the large queen-sized bed. "And such a soft comfy bed…"
Nathen smiled as he watched her before sighing and getting up to go take his own shower.
To a normal person the water would be scalding, but for Nathen and Gemma it was perfect and calming. Nathen didn't linger in the shower long, and after he got changed into his own pajamas which were a lighter version of what Gemma was wearing he went to the room and climbed into the bed behind her. Gemma awoke from the motions and the feeling of Nathen wrapping his arms around her, a deep blush grew when he held her close with one of his hands having gotten under the thick fuzzy top to hold her closer with his arm around her waist.
Whenever they laid down together to sleep she usually rested against him facing towards him, and as kids his arm would just drape over her or curl completely around her to hold her. So, she figured this was an idle habit he picked up whenever he laid down with Alice or over the years on his own. She took a soft deep breath closing her eyes and let the moment ease so that they could both lie there and sleep without worry. She was relaxing in a large soft bed with the man she loved, all the worries in the world just seemed to melt away.
As the two authors slept, Nathen's parents walked about the ship thinking and talking, Holly was watching and playing with May, Trayton and Amber were busy taking their own time to relax and rest for the course of the trip.
A simple day for the voyage to Monoko, but back within Unova, the exploration team is taking a break.
(Unova Region – Route 4 rest area – 5:00 PM)
The Unova exploration group is sitting within a large opening of Route 4 to take some time of resting and relaxing. They also took time to prepare for camping there, but while Alice was looking through Nathen's gifted recipe book, Spike was getting some lessons from Allen.
"I must say Spike, these Pokemon are beautifully raised." Allen said as he looked over Spikes Haxorus, Dragonair, Gabite, Bagon, and Swablu. "You're truly aspiring to be a strong Dragon Trainer."
"Thank you, Allen, I believe Haxorus learning Draco Meteor when he evolved is proof enough of our strong bond." Spike said as he gently patted Haxorus's back.
"That is true, but often or not that move is something that needs to be taught more than learned in a split instant." Allen said as he looked into Haxorus's eyes while thinking. "Though that's just me speaking from basic traditions, I do believe you in that he learned it as he evolved."
"I do know that Draco Meteor has strong traditions in how it's learned," Spike said with a nod before looking to his other Pokemon. "We've all grown a lot, haven't we?"
His smile grew as his Pokemon all responded. "Excuse me Allen, but could I see some of your Dragons?"
"Sure, but I only have three on me," Allen said as he pulled out three PokeBalls and let out his own Haxorus, a Charizard, and a Goodra.
"You've been to Kalos?" Spike asked as he walked up to the Pokemon and looked them over. Goodra smiled but shied away, Haxorus walked over to Spike's and gave a happy greeting while Charizard peered around the area. Around his neck close to his body was a silver collar that was very beautifully crafted with a brilliant ornamentation. At the front was a round dome shaped piece set like it was covering something.
"Yeah, I had a bit of business there." Allen said as he gently rubbed his Goodra's back to calm her. "I actually got back a little after you all arrived in Unova."
"How long were you there?" Alice asked a smile on her face as the Charizard walked over to her and sat down behind her. "He must remember me."
"Only a week, an associate of my family called me about having found a few things for me." Allen said smiling as he looked back at Charizard examining Alice closely. "Yes Charizard, that is Alice and Alexis." He chuckled softly as he nuzzled up to them both.
"Allen, if you wouldn't mind, I'd like to have a battle with one of your Pokemon. I know we battled back in Castelia, but I'd like to keep learning and improving with you." Spike said as he returned all of his Pokemon but his Haxorus to their PokeBalls.
"I wouldn't mind at all." Allen said as he looked to his Pokemon thinking. His Goodra quickly shook her head while Haxorus shook his head slightly and nodded towards Charizard. "You think I need to start getting it broken in too, right?"
"Haxorus," Haxorus said with a nod as he walked back over to the girls with Goodra before nudging Charizard off to Allen.
"Char…" Charizard sighed as he stood and walked over to his trainer.
"You said something needed to be broken in, what did you mean exactly?" Spike asked as he stood by his Haxorus.
"Have you heard of Mega Evolution?" Allen asked as he pulled out a small pendant from under his shirt before walking to Charizard and rotating the dome on the collar.
"Yeah, Nathen and his mother can use it, wait is Charizard able to Mega Evolve?" Spike asked.
"Yes, in two different ways," Allen said as he tapped the dome making it open to show a blue stone with a black and blue swirl inside. "I was lucky enough that an associate in Kalos happened to claim the two while working alongside the professor there and gave them to me."
"Two different Mega Evolutions…" Spike said to himself as he looked to Allen's Charizard. "Which variation will you be using?"
"A favorite," Allen said as he held the pendant in his hand. "Are you ready Spike?"
"I am, alright Haxorus, we're gonna be in for a major fight." Spike said as he himself stood ready with his Haxorus getting ready.
Charizard roared out as he himself stood prepared while Allen gripped his pendant firmly.
"Charizard, Mega Evolve," Allen said as a bright light shined out from him and his Charizard. The lights arced out and soon connected with each other causing the Flame Pokemon to glow brightly with his physical form starting to change.
The horns on Charizard's head grew out to a point and started to curve upward, horns grew out in upward curves from his shoulders, spines took shape from the back of Charizard's neck, his wings changed shape with clawed points at the tips of the wings with the bottoms becoming several points, when the lights subsided Charizard roared out with a large blue fire coming out. The blue fire began to flow out from the sides of his head around his mouth and the fire at the tip of his tail was the same blue. Charizard's color as a whole mirrored that of a shiny Charizard in that its body became black, it's belly and the horn tips were a light blue and the inner of its wings was a dark blue.
"Mega Charizard, X Variation." Allen said calmly as he looked to his Pokemon who was taking deep breathes while looking his body over. "How's it all feel Charizard?"
Once Charizard finished examining himself he roared out before once more getting ready for battle.
"Good," Allen said calmly. "He's really excited. Spike, you may begin."
"First things first, what majorly changed with Charizard?" Spike asked. "Though best to see for myself, use Dragon Claw!"
"Match it." Allen said as Charizard and Haxorus both started at each other with large green glowing claws.
The two went at each other evenly with each strike canceling the other out.
"Dragon Tail." Allen said as he fiddled and rubbed at the dark golden crystal on his pendant.
Charizard responded by deflecting the next attack from Haxorus before swinging around quickly and striking Haxorus with his tail which had started glowing green. Haxorus grunted hard from the super effective hit but quickly got a swing in with the Dragon Claw and managed to strike it's back. Charizard responded with a pained grunt of its own as he retook his position in front of Allen.
"Wait, that reaction, it was like it was Super Effective, how could that be?" Spike asked.
"The X Variation for Mega Charizard gives it a type change, Charizard is now a Fire/Dragon Type Pokemon." Allen said as he looked to his Charizard who had quickly reverted to his original form. "The Y Variation maintains the original Fire/Flying typing, the power reach your limit?"
"Char…" Charizard said with a soft sigh as he sat down and started grumbling.
"Don't worry partner, we'll get the power stabilized." Allen said as he patted Charizard's back.
"What happened?" Alexis asked.
"Mega Evolution is something that draws on the power and bonds between the Pokemon and Trainer, but it also ends up majorly increasing the personal physical power of the specially evolved Pokemon. It can end up being to much of a strain on the Pokemon who isn't used to it." Allen said with a soft sigh. "Charizard has only gone through Mega Evolution a small handful of times, each time he's hit this wall and strain of the power trying to overwhelm him and push him into a raged state."
"It sounds like you've experienced this before…" Lily said as she looked to Charizard.
"Yeah, our first two times trying the Mega Evolution variants out, we pushed for trying to use the power for as long as possible but after trying out moves and maneuvers to see what also got changed he crashed into the wall and started going wild." Allen said as he gently rubbed his Pokemon's back. "Now we try and use the power boost for single quick finished and actions to minimize it's prolonged use. Though we are in the process of training to break the wall and gain full control."
"I'm certain that you both can do it." Alice said smiling softly as she stood and walked over to Charizard. "You're obviously a Pokemon of Pride, but you know humility and know your limits. I know for certain that you'll be able to take full control of this power you now have."
"Char," Charizard said calmly smiling softly and nodding a faint light color to his face.
"I'm sorry that we'll be cutting the training battle rather short Spike," Allen said with a soft chuckle as he walked over to him while he was using a Potion on his Haxorus.
"It's okay, we got to battle a Mega Evolved Pokemon, we really don't mind it getting cut short, right?" Spike asked as he looked to Haxorus who smiled and nodded.
"Such a loving bond to his own Pokemon and Dragons… Maybe…" Allen said as he reached into his pocket and fiddled with a PokeBall. "Hey Spike, can I impose a request upon you?"
"What is it Allen?" Spike asked.
"When I said I only had three Pokemon on my person, that was a lie." Allen said as he pulled a deactive PokeBall from his pocket. "I happen to have a fourth, but this leads into my request. I'd like you to raise and train it."
"Wait, why?" Spike asked as Allen put the ball in his hand.
"Because I believe you'd have the best possibility of bringing out this Pokemon's strongest powers compared to myself." Allen said with a soft sigh. "If you ask anyone who prides themselves as a Dragon Trainer, they'll say that myself, Claire of Blackthorn City, and Lance of the Kanto League are likely to be the strongest trainers of Dragon Type Pokemon, I don't put much merit in myself as one of those trainers, but I know for certain that Lance has earned that position as has Claire. Anyway, given my present responsibilities to my family's tasks, I won't be able to properly raise this young Pokemon. But after seeing your Pokemon and observing you, I'm certain that you can."
"I'm honored to have you say that of me, but why would I be better?" Spike said as he looked to the PokeBall.
"You have freedom on your side." Allen said sighing softly. "As you've heard me say, I can't get out and go wherever I want. I barely got a week in Kalos, and it's highly likely that after Alice, Alexis, and I get to Opelucid, I'll have even less time to leave and to myself let along to be with them… This Pokemon needs freedom to be able to grow properly, not to be locked to a small area. You Spike Lord are a young noble and a protector of Lady Pony, a princess of Unova, but you happen to carry a greater essence of freedom that this Pokemon will best flourish in." Allen then tapped the PokeBall's button causing it to grow in Spike's hand before opening to let the Pokemon out in a blue light.
"A blue opening, he released it…" Spike said as he watched the Pokemon come to form from the light as a Treecko. The Treecko shook itself out looking around before adjusting the grey bandana around its neck. "A Treecko?"
"That's right," Allen said as he kneeled down to the Pokemon. "Treecko, I know this sudden, but I want you to go with this trainer and be is Pokemon."
"Tree?" Treecko asked as he tilted his head before looking to Spike.
"Hello there," Spike said as he knelt down. "My name is Spike."
"Treecko, I'm positive that Spike can help you to achieve the same power that I carry with Charizard." Allen said as he pulled a small box from his other pocket. "Looking forward, I'm saddened to say that I won't be able to give you the nurturing freedom and experience as a trainer that you deserve, but I'm certain that Spike can. I know I'm asking a lot, but would you be willing to go with him and be his Pokemon?"
Treecko looked to Allen before looking to Spike. Spike and Treecko shared a gaze as they peered into each other before Treecko nodded but got in position ready to battle.
"Seems like Treecko wants to battle to see if you will be able to raise and train him well." Allen said as he stepped back.
"I think the battle is more of a formality," Spike said smiling softly as he pulled out a pair of PokeBalls. "Treecko is willing to come with me, but this is to better establish a strong bond. Am I right Treecko?"
"Treecko, tree!" Treecko said smiling as he stood ready watching him.
"Alright, lets go Bagon!" Spike said as he tossed one of the PokeBalls letting his Rock Head Pokemon out. "Bagon, we're gonna bring that Treecko into our family and team, alright?"
"Bagon!" Bagon said as he started stamping his feet getting ready.
"Treecko, go ahead and start off with the move that shows the dragon spirit I see in you," Allen said as he walked over and sat beside Alice.
"Treecko," Treecko said as he took in a deep breath before exhaling a strong violet gust.
When the wind hit Bagon he staggered back grunting from the pain.
"That move, that was Dragon's Breath," Spike said surprised. "Are you okay Bagon?"
"Bagon!" Bagon said as he shook out his body before starting to jump.
"Good, use Headbutt then follow up with Ember!" Spike called as Bagon's forehead began to glow before he quickly charged at Treecko head first.
Treecko quickly jumped around dodging Bagon's charges but cried out when after one of Bagon's charges he quickly switched to firing off several hot burning embers. After recovering Treecko quickly turned and charged at Bagon using Quick Attack, once the speedy attack hit Treecko followed it by using Pound. He quickly spun around with his tail glowing white slamming it hard against his opponent.
Bagon staggered back but shook his head standing firm and ready.
"Use Dragon Claw!" Spike called.
Bagon let out a roar as his claws started glowing bright green before rushing at Treecko and quickly taking fast swipes. Treecko stood strong to take the hits before being thrown back covered in scratches and swipes.
Spike recognized the moment and tossed the open free PokeBall in his hand at Treecko. When it hit the Pokemon it pulled them into the ball and closed shut before starting to shake. After three prominent shakes and a few moments the ball clicked shut.
Spike smiled as his picked up the ball. "Alright, I caught a Treecko!" Spike said happily before letting his new Pokemon out. "Welcome to the family Treecko."
"Treecko," Treecko said with smile and nod.
"Bagon," Bagon said as he walked over and held his claw out for Treecko to shake. He smiled and nodded taking his claw in his hand and shook it.
"Congrats Spike," Lily said as she and Wisteria walked over to them.
"Hi there Treecko, I'm happy you'll be able to Join us." Wisteria said smiling happily.
"Thank you for taking Treecko in Spike," Allen said as he walked over while Treecko jumped up to Spike's shoulder and sat down. "Here, this is one other thing I want you both to have."
"What is it?" Spike asked as he took and opened the box that Allen gave him. Inside was a small sphere and a silver piece, the sphere was green in color with a red and black coiled swirl, a Mega Stone.
"The small silver piece is what is known as a Mega Item, my associate researches those kinds things, hoping to learn what makes up an item capable of channeling the Power between a Keystone and a Mega Stone." Allen said calmly as he held the Mega Item attached to his pendant. "As for the small sphere, that is a Mega Stone known as a Sceptilite. The Mega Stone's that my Charizard has are called Charizardite X and Charizardite Y, and you said that Nathen and his mother could?"
"Yeah, Professor Sycamore and his Uncle Professor Ronin gave him a bunch of Mega Evolution based things, and his mother evolved a Swampert." Wisteria said speaking up.
"A Swampertite then." Allen said calmly. "Anyway, this Sceptilite is meant to be able to Mega Evolve Treecko once he has evolved into a Sceptile. The man who gave it to me, said that the evolution will make Sceptile into a Grass/Dragon Pokemon."
"That's amazing," Spike said as he looked at the items.
"I'm only giving you a small part of the equation, albeit still a big part, but only a small piece nonetheless." Allen said calmly. "You have the start to a personal Mega Item, and a Mega Stone for one of four of your Pokemon."
"Wait four? Spike has other Pokemon that can Mega Evolve?" Wisteria asked after Treecko jumped over to her.
"I believe so, Garchomp, Salamence, and Altaria can all Mega Evolve if the information I was given is correct." Allen said as he started thinking. "When I started looking in on Mega Evolution, I did so specifically on Dragon Types and Pokemon that may become Drago Type, such as Sceptile and Charizard."
"What kind of Pokemon can Mega Evolve and become associated to Dragon Types?" Lily asked.
"Let's see… From what I was told, we've already stated Charizard, Sceptile, Garchomp, Salamence, and Altaria, but there's also Ampharos, the Mythical Pokemon Latios and Latias, and it's speculated the Legendary Rayquaza can preform a type of Mega Evolution." Allen said as he worked back his thoughts.
"So Ampharos can Mega Evolve and gain a Dragon Type power." Lily said to herself as she fiddled with a Pokeball in her pocket.
"Alright everyone, dinner should be ready now so lets all come and eat. We'll be needing to get to bed soon so that we can head straight out to Nimbasa City." Alice said as she started dishing up the food she was preparing with Alexis.
Everyone started gathering around and continued their conversations while enjoying the food. And soon they all turned in to lay down and sleep, though Lily and Alexis were the last to get to sleep as the sky grew dark.
"You know Lily, sense I've come to know you in Harmonic, I've come to know you as someone who's very quiet and keeps to yourself." Alexis said calmly as she relaxed back on her personal chair.
"Really? I haven't really noticed that…" Lily said calmly as she relaxed back in his own chair.
"Though from what I can read from yourself and your aura you're actually a very happy and joyful person, your aura is a pale purple and shines brilliantly." Alexis said as she relaxed back. "Why do you go about keeping your own joy hidden?"
"I… I have my reasons…" Lily said softly. "Just leave it at that…"
"I will, but if I may say, when you're helping with the concerts, or helping to make people genuinely happy, your aura shines brighter." Alexis said smiling to her.
"I want to bring Joy and Happiness to the world, so I suppose whenever I'm actually able to do so, even if it's indirectly, my aura reacts." Lily said smiling softly. "I'm happy to know that."
"You're welcome," Alexis said smiling to her. "I'm sure her secret ties to that prominent light her aura draws to on her forehead. Having it right in the middle of her head and I can only guess it actually shines in resonance to her aura and personal happiness, growing up that can affect her own personal thoughts and feelings. She, Wisteria, and Spike are all still young at 10, and they've seen a lot already."
"Hey Alexis, if you swear not to tell anyone, I'll let you in on what my reasoning is…" Lily said softly.
"Of course, but what's bringing this on?" Alexis asked.
"I… I don't know, I just feel like it's better to have someone I can talk to about this stuff…" Lily said with a soft sigh. "I know I should be talking with Wisteria and Spike about this… but… I'm just scared that if they saw it'd drive us apart because of how different I'd be…"
"I understand Lily, but before you tell me, look back at your journey through Pokoh, the things you've seen and the people you have met," Alexis said as she sat back and looked to the sky at the stars. "There's nothing wrong with being different, I mean look at Wisteria and Karina, if they never spoke up about it you'd never know they were princesses, that's definitely something you don't see every day."
Lily smiled and nodded. "Yeah, you're right, but I still feel like it's something that would take me some time." She said as she took a deep breath and looked to Alexis moving her hair to show a lily shaped birthmark on her forehead. "Whenever I get really happy and joyful, the mark lights up and glows. It's because of that that I don't really show myself being happy… I… I'm scared that it'd make me overly different from others and that it'd push me away…"
"I promise I'll keep your secret, but I promise, none of your friends would ever push you away." Alexis said giving her a sincere happy smile.
"Thank you," Lily said returning the smile. "Should we start getting to bed?"
"Yeah, good night Lily," Alexis said with a soft yawn as she stood up and stretched out before putting out the campfire and then getting into the tent she was sharing with her sister.
Lily soon followed climbing into the tent she and Wisteria were sharing. She smiled and giggled seeing Wisteria asleep with Spike's new Treecko laying with her. Lily flinched a bit when she noticed the mark on her forehead start to glow. After covering it she quickly climbed into the sleeping bag and worked to hide herself until the light subsided.
"Alexis is right… no one will push me away… but… I guess I've become too used to hiding it away…" Lily sighed to herself as she relaxed before rolling over to look at Wisteria. "Princess… You'd never push me away… Would you…?"
Everyone within the Unova travel group is relaxing and sleeping now before making the next stretch on to Nimbasa City, as they all started to sleep the see faring group heading off to Monoko was also preparing to rest and sleep.
They were all gathered inside Nathen's specialized suite which feeling someone cramped with everyone crowded into the living room space.
Gemma was sitting aside with Holly a deep red on her face as she watched Nathen explain his camouflage device to everyone.
"So, you really took advantage of the moment and regressed back to when you'd lay with him as a kid?" Holly asked a soft chuckle to her tone.
"I couldn't help it…" Gemma whined as she curled up and hid her face in her arms. "I had to get up because I got too relaxed and the thick pajamas were too warm, so I got up to take the shirt and bottoms off and to put a different pair on before getting back in bed… I was still half asleep, so I just quickly went and got myself comfy…"
"So, you just instantly cuddled into his arms and chest sense you knew he was right there?" Holly asked. She chuckled when Gemma just nodded. "Well it's not like you can be in trouble for it."
"I know, but I should've been more controlled…" Gemma sighed as she looked up at everyone getting their own shields ready. "Still the better part of a day until we get to Monoko…"
"Yup… Hey, who do you think Nathen's parents will be going to see?" Holly asked.
"I got no clue… I can't exactly remember anyone from the old journey that majorly jumps out, especially anyone that recognized Nathen and mentioned his family out of the blue…" Gemma sighed as she sat back. "Can't you just outright ask?"
"Yeah, but that's no fun…" Holly said as she relaxed back into the couch and everyone started going about their own business. "Nathen's folks are going to the main upper deck for dinner… Trayton and Amber are off to do their own thing… May went to bed… and Mr. Busybody is back to work…"
"Talk about a quiet first day of travel…" Gemma muttered. "But it's still nice, we've had so much happen around us, uneventful days are nice every so often…"
"Yeah, especially sense we're likely gonna be having drama trouble when it comes to seeing your parents…" Holly said calmly. "I can guess that's something Nathen is worrying about."
"How so…?" Gemma asked as she glanced to Nathen.
"You don't remember when we left to start the Monoko journey? Nathen promised to your father that he'd look after you and protect you, that he'd insure that you were safe and would return home after we finished…" Holly said calmly. "You disappeared, and Nathen was taken by TUA… the chat with your parents I had to have was not a happy one…"
"Sorry…" Gemma said with a soft sigh. "Hopefully we can put things to ease…"
"I hope so too…" Holly said before yawning. As she sat up to stand she caught the sight of Nathen stalling in his work and a slight shake start in his figure. "Gem I'm gonna head to bed and I'll be the one to be giving May company until she decides to crawl between you and Nathen, so why don't you keep him company now and you both work out the plan for Monoko."
"But… Okay…" Gemma said with a soft sigh as she followed Holly's gaze to her watching Nathen slowly start working again. Once Holly was now in the bedroom being used by Gemma, Nathen, May and herself, Gemma stood and walked over to Nathen and shyly wrapped her arms around him. "Are you doing okay…?"
"I… I'm just overly worried…" Nathen sighed as he set his tools down. "Holly's right… I broke my promise to your father and hurt the trust he put in me to keep you safe…"
Gemma wrapped her arms around him more cuddling close as she gently placed a kiss on his cheek and smiled against his skin trying to ease and calm him. "I'm safe now though… we're all back together, yeah dad will be mad at first, but I promise it'll be okay."
"You're right… But… Please give me some time when we get to port to let me find a calm center of mind…" Nathen said as he smiled and looked to her. "I want to do this right."
"Okay," Gemma said smiling to Nathen before squeaking as he stole a kiss. "Lets um… not do too much while we're there, maybe only in private, chances are Dad won't take too nicely to that."
"Understood," Nathen said with a soft chuckle. "Anything you'd like to do tonight sense we both took a pretty decent nap?"
"Relaxing and cuddling to not get overly anxious or worried about tomorrow evening?" Gemma asked as she leaned against his desk.
"Wanna just put on some movies and relax out here for the night?" Nathen asked as he started putting away some tools and some electronics.
"Sounds perfect." Gemma said smiling softly as she walked over to the couch.
As they got things straightened up and started for them both, Holly soon joined them once again.
"Sorry for crashing your alone time Gem," Holly said as she relaxed into the recliner she was sitting on.
"It's okay, when May needs her big brother he'll go and help." Gemma said smiling softly as Nathen returned. "How is she?"
"She's okay, just a small bad dream." Nathen said calmly as he sat back down on the couch with her. "I let Hero out to keep watch along with Flara, your Flamolf, my Embolf Ember, and Holly's Ralts are keeping her company in bed so she should be good through the night."
"Good," Gemma said smiling softly as she moved back into position and quickly started cuddling up close to him.
"Throwing all restraint out the window?" Holly asked with a soft chuckle as Gemma stuck her tongue out at her and instantly started cuddling into his chest.
"I'm comfy, and this is nice," Gemma said smiling as she relaxed into the feeling and the hold.
"Fair enough," Holly said as she relaxed back into the recliner watching the movie they had playing.
It didn't take long, but soon after they started to hear snoring. Gemma had calmly started to fall asleep in Nathen's hold.
"That didn't take long," Holly said with a soft chuckle.
"Yup," Nathen said with a soft chuckle as he pulled a blanket up and over her. "You gonna stay out here still or are you gonna move to the bedroom?"
"I'll stay out here with you and her for old times sake." Holly said as she gave her own yawn. "I'm likely to end up falling asleep sometime here soon myself."
"Yeah, probably the same for myself," Nathen said calmly as he held Gemma close and slowly started rubbing her head. "Hey Hol… sense you've been back… has Gemma seemed different at all?"
"You're asking someone who hasn't seen either of you in a few years…" Holly said giving Nathen a look which he laughed at.
"Fair enough," Nathen said with a soft chuckle. "It's just… a feeling… something has her feeling distant to me… normally our aura sync and flow, but right now… it feels like our aura is out of sync and can't flow properly…"
"Maybe it's that change thing happening again, like that one time." Holly said with a soft yawn. "Your auras were changing, where they originally butted heads at times they started to properly sync but you both were put to a pained bed rest."
"It's possible… but I'm not sensing that type of disturbance… typically when aura goes about a change an obvious disturbance can be sensed…" Nathen said calmly. "But I've been feeling this distance sense the middle of our trouble in Harmonic City in Pokoh… but it doesn't feel like an aura change… plus I can typically use my aura to feel and stabilize aura changes, but… I can't even use mine with her… it's like something is blocking me out…"
"Odd, but I don't know much about aura as it is." Holly said shrugging. "I'm sure it'll clear up in time."
"Fair enough, her aura was always unique, so I guess I just need to be patient." Nathen said as he gently placed a kiss to her head.
"You always were a worry wort," Holly said with a soft laugh. "Seems like it's something that hasn't changed in all these years."
"I doubt it ever will." Nathen said with a chuckle as he held up one of his shields. "After all, I went this far just to mask us a small bit in Monoko."
"Kinda needed though, I mean yeah the Existence presence in Monoko is still at an all-time low… But it's still an issue that needs to be carefully managed." Holly said yawning. "About time to get to sleep."
"Yeah," Nathen said yawning. After reaching for the TV's remote and shutting the TV off, Nathen relaxed back more carefully holding Gemma in his arms while Holly fully reclined back in her seat. The three old friends all started to drift off into a deep calm sleep.
Another day has passed, a simple view was placed upon the traveling groups, the one traveling through the land of Unova settles and works towards growing one self. While the group traveling the sea towards another region take their time to rekindle old friendships and to prepare for the new land itself.
In another day, they will arrive at the land of Monoko, the group led by Allen and Alice will likely be in Nimbasa City, but at present, the group Hoenn bound has already arrived, so next time, let us take a look at their ventures.
There you have it all! A simple voyage and a glance at a few battles. In the end I do feel it was a bit all over and didn't give much to the group still in Unova. Maybe after my initial with the boat traveling group I'll give them some more alongside Vahn and Karina in Hoenn. Anyway that should do for now, though one quick thing! With the now coming info for Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield as well as the Galar region, should for some reason I still be far enough along in the story, but somehow still not done, to add more characters or changes to present characters those Pokemon and changes will be allowed, but until enough concrete details are brought in they won't be accepted, though the greater likelihood is these details will be applied to the sequel story Legend of Solace. That said, I hope that you all will have enjoyed the update and that life is treating you well! Until next time!
