Here's the third installment of Agent Hotchner Speaking.
Shout out to my anonymous reviewer HPforever - I can say trilogy! Here it is!

It may help to read the first two in order to understand some references, but still, this can stand alone.

Disclaimer: I own nothing but the plot.

Enjoy.

In the past two months, Emily Prentiss read every pregnancy book she could get her hands on.

And so far she gathered, that for a lot of women, the first trimester was the worst.

She certainly hoped so; morning sickness had practically taken over her life.

"Babe, can you drive a little slower?" Emily asked. "It would be really nice if I could go an entire day without introducing my breakfast to the toilet… or in this case the floor of our car."

Easing off the accelerator slightly, Aaron Hotchner glanced over at her and smiled.

"I'm sorry Em. Can you blame me for being excited?"

Of course she couldn't, she was excited too.

"Of course not. But the doctor's office isn't going anywhere," she replied, checking her watch. "Our appointment isn't for another forty five minutes."

He didn't answer her, apparently lost in his own thoughts.

Hotch was drumming his fingers absent-mindedly on the steering wheel when he broke the silence that had fallen over them, startling her. The excitement in his voice couldn't be contained, even if he had tried.

"Do you think we're having a girl?" he near-shouted.

"I don't know," Emily laughed. "It would be nice for Jack to have a little sister, wouldn't it? He's going to make such a good big brother."

Finding a parking space, he killed the engine and turned toward her.

"He's so excited. He already made me promise he could help pick out the color for her room."

After spending what felt like an eternity in the waiting area, the two of them were ushered into the small hospital-esque room.

Emily situated herself on the bed as the ultrasound technician instructed; Hotch found a stool and took a seat next to her.

The woman was kind as she asked Emily about her pregnancy thus far, sympathizing with her about the morning sickness.

"You're almost into your second trimester, so just hold on a little while longer," she encouraged.

The cold gel had barely touched her skin when Hotch spoke up.

"Will you be able to determine the sex of the baby?"

"I most certainly will, as long as my view isn't obstructed."

A subtle whoosh, whoosh filled the room as the tech began with the ultrasound.

Then she started pointing to the screen.

"Okay, mommy and daddy to be… here is an arm, and another arm. Right over here are your little girl's feet…"

Hearing the words "little girl", his face lit up even more. Emily turned her head and smiled at him.

"It's a girl," she repeated.

"She's going to be beautiful," he replied.

The technician continued, "… and here's, oh… here's an arm."

Both parents' heads snapped in the woman's direction.

"I'm sorry," Hotch began, dumbfounded. "An arm? As in three?"

"Well, four I would assume," she smiled. "Congratulations, you're having twins."

Both Emily and Hotch remained fixated on the blurry image in front of them. Eventually, the shock faded from Emily's face and turned into a gleaming smile.

It wasn't long before he followed suit.

"You know if I'm not mistaken… I think Reid owes Morgan another fifty bucks."

Ta da! Trilogy complete!

Hope everyone enjoyed it... let me know, reviews are awesome!

And don't anyone even think about challenging me to a fourth... I might just do it!
