The One That Got Away

Batman strode through the halls of the Justice League's space station, glaring angrily at any who dared make eye contact with him.

Approaching the bridge, his stomping march was brought to an abrupt halt by a scarlet blur.

"Hiya! So, the great Batman finally missed a capture?"

"Not now, Flash."

"Let me guess, you missed it by that much?"

Batman pushed the Flash's hand out of his line of sight.

"I said, not now."

"Well, don't worry, it happens to the best of us; namely, you!"

The Flash popped back up.

"Yep! It was the fluke off of the one that got away!"

Batman didn't even bother looking at him; instead, focusing his gaze at the peaceful, beautiful Lapis-Lazuli orb softly spinning in the breathtaking backdrop of space.

Jon looked at him with concern, sensing the turmoil with him.

Suddenly, Batman snapped.

"WHERE IN THE WORLD IS CARMEN SAN DIEGO?"
