A/N: Hello readers, or whoever I have left still here reading to this day. I am back, I think (or at least for now, when I start college next fall, I'll definitely be busy). This chapter only came to me after re-reading what I had so far of this story and where I left off, thank goodness I still have a tiny spark of ideas left.

This story should hopefully wrap up before the year's end, I hope. Speaking of years, I started this story five years ago (holy hell, in 2010!). Time sure flew by quick. I was like twelve years old at the time and now I'm seventeen and getting ready to graduate high school in June next year, lol. Damn, this story should've been finished a long time ago! This story will definitely wrap up soon I'm sure.

What I'll do after it does, I'm not sure. Maybe I'll work on my other Bakugan story (The Twin Assassins of Gundalia), it's a newer story and currently my most recent Bakugan story here. Hopefully, those of you who like this story will go and check it out. The first chapter's been up for a while (it's been a year since I put it up, doesn't really seem like anyone's noticed, but then again my newer stories in general haven't been noticed much either) and I really hope someone will read it (and leave a review!). It doesn't seem like a lot of people are into the Gundalian Invaders or Mechtanium Surge characters though (as the most popular and most viewed fanfics for Bakugan seem to be about characters and shipping from the first season). Tbh though, GI and MS (the first half) are my favorite seasons and have my favorite characters/shippings, so maybe I'm just being biased. Ah well, I'll keep writing regardless anyways, so I doubt that anyone will really care.

Oh and before I forget, please go back and reread the story from the beginning if you already haven't (it shouldn't be too long anyways, considering this whole story so far is under 10000 words)! My grammar and writing has improved drastically since I first started in 2010 (seriously, there's a huge difference between twelve year old me and seventeen year old me's grammar and writing).

Onward to chapter six!

Chapter 6
Return to Neathia

The group of Brawlers lingered for a few minutes after Kazarina and Kazuro disappeared, staring at the spot that they had disappeared from. There was a hushed silence in the air around them and no one dared to break it. That was until heavy boot falls started and began to walk further away from them. Everyone looked to see that it was none other than Gill who was walking in the opposite direction back towards his ship.

"Hey, where do you think you're going!?" Fabia called out.

Gill paused for a second and glanced over his shoulder. "Where else do you think? To Neathia, of course!" With that being said, he turned on his heel and continued on his way back to his ship.

The Brawlers including Mason and Nurzak looked on for a moment before coming to a realization. "Hey, we should probably get going too, don't ya think, Princess?" Mason said, effectively breaking the silence.

"Yeah, he's right guys, we should head back." Shun told the group. "The sooner the better, who knows what's happening on Neathia without us right now."

"Then allow us to join you." Nurzak spoke up. "As you said, time is of the essence and we don't have any to waste at the moment. Allow us to support you in the efforts to save Neathia." The Brawlers looked at him and nodded.

"Alright, we're all in agreement then." Fabia smiled, before becoming serious. "Dragonoid Colossus, take us back home to Neathia!" He showed up within the next second.

"Ready to go back to Neathia, Brawlers?" He asked. The group nodded. Dragonoid Colossus lowered himself to the ground. "Climb aboard." They quickly climbed on top of him and stood on him. As he began to lift off, Fabia's eyes widened in realization.

"Wait, what about Ren!?" How could she have forgotten about him so easily? They were in the air now and nearing close to the dimensional gate. She panicked inwardly, questions running through her head. What if he doesn't make it? If he didn't make it, he wouldn't get another chance to go to Neathia. He'd be stuck on Gundalia.

"Coming through!" Fabia looked back to see Ren and Linehalt flying towards them. He jumped off Linehalt and leapt onto Dragonoid Colossus, landing on his feet. "Didn't think I would make it, Fabia?" He asked, wearing a smirk. His right hand went up to catch Linehalt as he shifted back into his ball form. And not a second too late, they entered the dimensional gate. "Now everyone, hold on tight. This is going to be a bumpy ride." Dragonoid Colossus warned. He flew through the gate at top speed, forcing everyone to hold onto something.

"Woaaah!" They collectively screamed. When Dragonoid Colossus moved, they all had shifted a bit, falling towards whatever was close to them. In Fabia's case, she shifted and fell onto Ren's side, causing him to nearly lose his balance and fall with her.

"Are you alright?" He asked Fabia. In nearly falling off, Ren had managed to catch Fabia in his arms before they both stumbled back onto their feet. A light red dusted her cheeks. "Yes, thank you, Ren." She managed a smile, albeit a bit embarrassed. He smiled back, happy to help, though her blushing from the close contact hadn't gone unnoticed. For the rest of the ride, they held onto each other, to make sure that neither of them fell again.

On Neathia, Airzel and Stoica watched from their standpoint atop a building as a dimensional gate opened and Gill's ship came through. Stoica flashed Airzel a grin and Airzel stared back with an unreadable expression. Despite how uncomfortable he felt, he wasn't going to let Stoica get to him and show it. No, he was going to stay strong. Master Gill knows what he's doing. He had faith in his master.

Gill had an excuse ready for his late arrival to Neathia. He pushed a button and was immediately connected with Barodius on a screen. "Emperor Barodius, I apologize for my tardiness, dear cousin. It seems we had a mishap back on Gundalia, that I had to take care of. Unfortunately, it was during that mishap, that we lost Kazarina to the Neathian Princess Fabia." Barodius looked at him through the screen, following his words carefully.

"Is that so, Gill?" His teeth clenched as he considered Gill's words. "I think you're lying, Gill." Barodius said, as a grave look came across his features. Gill could've sworn he felt his blood freeze for a second. What? "Ability Activate!" Barodius commanded. Crap.

Airzel looked on in shock. How did Barodius know? He turned to Stoica and bared his teeth, growling "You gave him away!?" Stoica only grinned wider in response. Airzel didn't need anything else to tell him to what to do. "Master Gill, get away from there!" He yelled. "Come on, Strikeflier! Let's go!" He needed to stop the attack before it got to the ship. They stood in front of the ship in the attempt to block the attack, but to avail. Dharak's attack slammed into them and the ship. "AAAAARRRAAAAAHHHHH!" The mixed screams of the Bakugan and the Gundalians could be heard throughout the whole battlefield. The ship immediately malfunctioned as it was sent aground, flames erupting on the inside and the outside.

Everyone in the vicinity looked on in horror as they witnessed the ship erupt into flames. "He attacked his own people?" Dan looked on in disbelief, feeling anger bubble within him.

The ship sputtered a final time before exploding just seconds later.

The stakes had risen higher than they ever had before and now life and death truly hung in the balance.

A/N: Yeah, chapter 6 is done! Yes, I am making progress here (I'm so proud of myself right now)! This story should wrap up in 2-3 chapters, hopefully. Thank you for reading and feel free to leave a review if you see anything that doesn't make any sense or if you want to say anything. Honestly, whether or not, it's constructive criticism or a comment about the story, it doesn't matter, a review is very much appreciated. It would definitely boost my morale in the process of writing and finishing this story.
