Disclaimer: It's pretty obvious that I don't own Twilight, but I really wish I could.

Bella has been my best friend for the past 4 years. I hate seeing her getting hurt, crying because of some man that is not even worth her tears. I hate it when she falls for a different guy when I'm always right here, waiting my turn. Waiting for the time when it would be me who she falls for. Waiting for when I would be the reason for her smiles, and the reason she gets up everyday. Waiting for the time when I would be the first man she thinks about when she sleeps, and the last man she has in her thoughts as she falls asleep. When that happens, I will hold onto her, and show her how she should be appreciated. How someone as irreplaceable as her should be loved.

Waiting for her to love me, silently loving her, did not get her attention. Giving out small indications for the real feelings I have for her just maked her confused. Being the one there for her whenever she needed me just made me her best friend, but I wanted to be more than that for her.I want to be the man she'd love with all of her heart, the man she's afraid to let go of.

I can't wait in the background anymore, wishing to be next person she sees with love in her eyes. I have to do something that will finally make her realize that I am the one who loves her. It's always been me who loves her the most and it always will be me.

So I called her today, asking her what she would do if I knocked on her door right now to tell her of my love for her. She just laughed at me, telling me to stop kidding around. I told her I wasn't, and hung up the phone. Looking at the door in front of her house and I rang her doorbell. I heard a hesitant click and the door slowly opened, revealing her to me. I gave her the three roses I was holding and saw her eyes go wide. I stared into her eyes and gave her a smile.

"I told you I wasn't joking."
