Not Mine. Thanks Jess.

It was true, he did figure she needed a break. A break from the men hitting on her, from talking about the case, from being Bones. But he also knew there was jealousy nipping at him, growing with every second that passed in which she was in someone else's arms.

From the moment he walked in he spotted her, dancing with Charlie and not liking it one bit. She didn't exactly look like she was having the time of her life out there on the floor, but she didn't look like she wasn't enjoying herself, as much as he figured she could with live people, either.

And he didn't like it.

Then she started feeling him up. Hell. He really didn't like where this was going.

He was both grateful and annoyed when Rigby cut in. Yes, he was glad someone was separating her and Charlie but not so much the sticking around to take his place. It did look like she was talking more business-like but then he noticed their good sheriff next to him planning his move. 'Christ.' He really hated this town.

The sheriff would take a step, then take it back, take a step, then take it back... then he stayed put and waited. Rigby twirled her right into his arms and he was glad to catch her, getting his paws all over her. Something he hadn't shied away from letting everyone know he wanted to do from the moment he'd laid eyes on her.

Booth gave him a few short moments with his girl before stealing her away. Finally holding her in his arms. Not them.

They bantered, as they did, but they danced. He was actually surprised she even knew how. Even if she did tend to try and lead.

It was funny, the fact she didn't figure the boys out as hitting on her. Of course she wouldn't. But that didn't make it any less funny.

Of course she didn't realize he was hitting on her, in his own Seeley Booth kind of way, as he always did. And that was a little less funny. But at least he got to hold her close to him for little while.
