Little Ouran piece I wrote after finishing the series. Just kind of describes the final scene with a little tacked on. Mindless fluff. lol.

They had danced.

Well, at least once Kyoya has passed her to him, they danced. He tried to not be offended by the fact that his full dance had come last.

Fangirls crowded around, holding their collective breath, wondering if it was all just a dream they would soon wake from.

Being gazed at by Tamaki, being moe'd out of their wits by Hunni, being enamored by Mori's silent solemnity, feeling completely and utterly breathless by the Hitachiin twins' antics, or being deeply touched by Haruhi's compassion- it all came to a boiling point. Everyone watched, and most girls drooled.

It was the end of the festival, and the end of a long-held secret.

Two people were in love, and were finally starting to realize it for themselves.

The fireworks came on, as Ouran's grand clock tower chimed. Everyone's face lit up and reflected in the bursting flashes of light. Each person was thinking their own personal thoughts, thinking upon the past year's achievements, disappointments, loves, heartbreaks. Life was turning over a new leaf at Ouran Academy.

As the night wore on, one by one the crowd slowly peeled away. Soon, even the other members of the host club slowly left. Hunni and Mori excused themselves- it was past their bedtime. Kyoya made it clear that his job was done, and was leaving. In the end, even the twins got bored with being jealous and left as well.

There was a comfortable silence that followed. Sitting next to the cherub fountain that held so many memories, they existed in the moment. Haruhi had been up since before the sunrise, helping prepare for the festival that day. So had Tamaki, for that matter, (although packing, not helping,) and both had had a similar sleepless night. She went first, slumping onto his shoulder, snoring softly.

"Haruhi...may daddy- my I ask something?"

"Hmm."

"Ah- never mind." He smiled slightly, and rested his own head against hers, enjoying the moment.

They were found by the gardener the next morning, in that exact place.
