Written for the Love, Like or Admiration challenge on xoxLewrahxox's Bellatrix Lestrange forum.

Prompt: Write a 100 or 500 word drabble in which your chosen character thinks of the person they love / like / admire. They don't have to think of the other character the whole way through, but there should at least be a reference to it.

Exactly 100 words.

"I'm trying to reduce." Narcissa told him at breakfast, refusing her favourite crepes.

Lucius was confused.

"Reduce...what?"

He thought that perhaps she meant 'reduce household waste'. Though he wasn't sure what that had to do with crepes.

Narcissa gave him one of her amused looks. The one that said 'you're a fool, Lucius.'

When she refused to elaborate, he ate the crepe she denied.

He noticed she looked delicately envious.

His eyes narrowed in contemplation, then he smirked.

"Dobby!" Crack

"What does 'reduce' mean?"

The elf explained.

Narcissa turned a mortified crimson.

Lucius smiled.

"You don't need to reduce, Cissy"

Reduce is an old-fashioned way of saying 'lose weight'. I imagine this would take place shortly after Draco's birth.
