Beck smiled at his friends as they came down the hall.

"Hey guys," he said, "and girls to be politically correct"

Normally everyone would have laughed but that didn't even get a smile out of anyone today.

"Guys what's wrong," Beck asked concerned.

"Sit down," Tori said, "We have to tell you something and it's not something you're going to be happy about"

Beck sat down.

"Jade is back on drugs again," Rob said

"What makes you say that," Beck asked closing his eyes.

"Tori saw her shooting up yesterday," Andre explained, "She didn't see Tori"

Beck felt his stomach drop.

"Thank you guys," he said, "I'll talk with her about this and I will make sure she gets the help she needs"

"Wait," Rob's puppet said, "You ain't gonna get mad?"

Beck shook his head.

"I don't get mad," he said, "It's pointless and it doesn't solve anything. It just makes things worth."

"Jade," Beck said a couple of minutes later, "we need to talk"

"Okay," she said and kissed him.

"When… when did you start using again?"

Jade sighed. She wasn't going to deny it because she knew she had a problem.

"It was last week," she said, "after my mom got sick. It's been so hard. I just couldn't get through it on my own so I just took one little hit and then it was like it all came back. It was a disaster. I'm a disaster"

Beck could see that she was about to melt. He wrapped his arms around her and rubbed her back.

"Hey," he finally said, "You know I can get you through this"

"Yeah," Jade said, "but it takes so much out of you and…"

He shook his head.

"For one thing," he said, "it's not like the last time. For another thing, Jade… I love you. I would relive the worst day of my life over and over and over and over and over and over again if it would make you okay. I would do that over and over and over and over and over again if it would save your mom. One condition—you check into a rehab facility."

Jade nodded. Beck skipped school that day to take her to the rehab. He came by every day and stayed for as long as he could. It was months before she was released. Beck kept his promise however and everything was alright.
