Disclaimer: I don't own the National Anthem 'I Still Call Australia Home'. My twin and I do own the parody, although I'm sure most of the world owns similar sentiments.
Summary: A complaint about Public Transport. Come on, we all thought it, Sally and I just wrote it.

The Trains Are Never On Time

I've been to stations that never close down,
From Central, to Rhodes, and Old Cambelltown,
But no matter my haste, or how much I whine,
The Trains Are Never On Time.

I'm always travelling, over field and plain,
But the Trains are delayed, again and again,
My home lies waiting, at the end of the line,
But the Trains Are Never On Time.

Pensioners and Students, travelling the rails,
Groups and Tours, and Families and Friends,
But as the waits grow longer, and slower,
You never know when the journey will end.

Someday, we'll all be together again,
But don't ask me how, or where, or when.
I know that despite the time-table signs
The Trains Are Never, the Trains Are Never,

The Trains Are Never On Time!

A/N: My twin started this and made up the first verse several years ago, and I've only just got around to finishing it. Granted, we started it on a wintery school morning with a very important test first period, when two successive trains had been cancelled, leaving us on the platform for almost an hour, but you have to admit we had a point.

As always, constructive critisism is very much appreciated, and flames are mocked.

Thanks, Nat
