He lay on his back, alone. No one had come to see him since he had been in the hospital. He didn't know what happened to Dom after Mexico, and he sure as hell didn't know what happened to Mia.

When Phoenix had hit his car and sent it rolling out of the tunnels, well, he never thought he could feel that much pain. But Dom had stayed with him, as if to protect him, instead of running.

That meant something to Brian. The fact that Dom had put aside what had happened between them earlier, that definitely meant something to him. Maybe Dom had just lost his will to fight after he avenged Letty.

He had woken up in this same bed 3 days ago and he had been alone. He had been scared, helpless. He even had a tube down his throat that prevented him from any kind of speech. He had wanted to wake up and see Mia, but no one had been there for him.

He supposed he couldn't really expect it, after what he had done. Maybe that kiss in the kitchen had just been desperation on Mia's part. Afraid to lose him, even though she wanted nothing to do with him. He couldn't blame her either.

What was he to her? Someone that had come into her life and lied repeatedly to her, then tore apart her heart and her family. The force had fucked him over. He knew that in his heart, if the last heist hadn't gone down, he would've told them everything and quit the force. If only he could just have Mia. That's what he wanted, what he desired.

Today was the day he finally got to go home, the day he got to go back to his lonely loft. A nurse came in and placed some old scrubs on the bed for him to change into. She pulled the tubes out of his body and taped guaze on the wounds.

After she left, he painfully got himself out of bed and shrugged on the scrubs. Every single movement hurt him, and it hurt more thinking about how he had gotten his injuries.

He signed some paperwork, then headed for the exit. He had no idea how he was going to get home, but for now, out of the hospital would be good enough for him. He walked out into the pickup bay, gulping in a breath of fresh air, as fresh as you can get in LA.

His head turned as he heard a familiar sound and he saw an orange Supra pulling up beside him. His orange Supra, the one from before the heists. The motor cut and the door opened, then Mia stepped out in front of him.

She had tears in the corners of her eyes, and she stepped up and embraced him. He ignored the pain that came with it and hugged her back. He bent down and kissed her head. Then she pulled away and looked at him.

"Lets go home", she said to him.

"Home?" The word seemed alien to his lips.

She nodded. "Home. With Me. With Dom. You belong with us Brian. Your coming home."
