Free Fro-Yo and an Act of Kindness
(A/N This is my first fanfiction and my first one-shot, so be nice :))
Everyone knows I'm Chad Dylan Cooper, you know, THE Chad Dylan Cooper, CDC, bad- boy, puppy shover extraordinaire. CDC never does anything nice for anyone, especially Randoms, and especially bubbly brunette Randoms. But, sometimes those little bubbly brunette Randoms make you brake your promises.
Today, I was nice to a bubbly brunette Random.
I know, shocking, right? But, who can say no to those stupid big brown eyes. It started out like any other day on set. I was doing a perfect job playing Mackenzie, wooing blonds, and a hair was never out of place on my gorgeous head. Then, to make the day even better, they were giving away one free fro-yo to every worker today. Chad Dylan Cooper likes Fro-yo, especially free Fro-yo. So, I waltzed over to the Commissionary to get some of this free frozen cow juice.
The line was huge, but because I'm Chad Dylan Cooper, I pushed my way to the front.
"Hello Brenda, I'm here to pick up my free fro-yo." I flashed her one of my signature CDC smiles.
"Of course, Chad. The usual?"
"Of course." I said with great charm. Within a matter of seconds, a cookie dough fro-yo was in my hand. Today was perfect. I went over to sit at my usual "Mack"-Falls spot when I noticed something, or should I say someone. Suns-I mean Sonny was sitting all alone at the So Random table, crying. Usually CDC doesn't care if girls are crying, but today I felt generous. I went over to her table and put a hand on her shoulder.
"Hey, why isn't Sonny sunny?"
"Oh, I'm fine, really." She looked at me with red, swollen eyes. She was definitely NOT fine.
"Don't make me have to force you to tell me."
"And what would you do?" she said with a bit of a smile on her face.
"I don't know, but when I do think of something, I will do it." Sonny giggled a little bit. I hate to admit it, but I do like to see her happy.
"It's just that I dropped my free fro-yo and Brenda won't let me get another one."
"So you're crying over spilled frozen milk."
"Yeah, I guess so. It's really stupid, but I guess I just get emotional over frozen treats." This is when the awesome CDC had an idea. It was even a nice idea, and those are hard to come by.
"Hey, you can have my fro-yo. It's a little melted now, but it will taste fine."
"I can't do that to you Chad."
"Sure you can. Think of it as an early, and your only, birthday gift."
"Thanks Chad." Then Sonny got up and gave me a small hug. I can't deny that I enjoyed it. I think some bubbly brunette Random and I are going to be getting along much better.
At least for the rest of the week.
