Upper Leadworth, it was hardly life in luxury but living with Rory, surely it was enough? Living a life in peace... She imagined all the people she cared for, the people she grew up with, all living together. There was her and Rory; oh Rory, her sweet, kind Rory. She knew he would do anything for her. She wouldn't even have to ask and he'd be there tending to her every beck and call. So here they were, living together. They were married with a child on the way. Life was perfect. Wasn't it? Yes, it was every girl's dream... Well, maybe not every girl's...

Once upon a time, there was a young girl called Amelia Pond. Hours passed as she dreamt of the raggedy doctor flying back to her in his big blue box. She new one day she would go with him (where ever it was he went) and they would live happily ever after.

He friends would dream of their futures too. But while Amelia played with her Doctor-doll and blue cardboard boxes, everyone else prepared for their future with liquorice wedding rings and baby dolls in prams. That was never the life she imagined. But was it the life she wanted?

The Doctor.

Her raggedy Doctor. How many over girls were literally swept off their feet by a man they'd dreamt of on the night before their wedding? When he came into her room she was overcome by so may feelings. Joy, excitement, scepticism? Yes, there was a cocktail of emotions, maybe even relief? No, she couldn't think that. She loved Rory and wanted to marry him. But she also wanted excitement, she didn't want to be stuck in Leadworth (Upper or otherwise)

She didn't want a Doctor. She wanted the Doctor!

She knew her choice; she knew which world she wanted to be real. But she could never say. She could never break Rory's heart, she did love him. Maybe she didn't want to spend her life with him but she cared for him deeply.
