Five years have passed since Nova Rhea last saw Richard B. Riddick. She had found most of her family and friends, and gained new ones along the way. She still visited Imam every now and again; she felt it was only appropriate after everything they'd been through together.

'I wonder if, Imam, is home yet?' She thought.

She had decided to visit him the way she did when she was passing through his part of the system. She had to pass Helion Prime to get from one planet to another when she wanted to see certain family members, so it worked out well for her. She was saddened that Jack had left them to join the Mercs. The thought of her becoming a Merc made Rhea's skin crawl and it made her feel a little betrayed by Jack. She had only done it so she could go find Riddick and bring him back, but Rhea thought there could have been other, more effective methods. She was getting closer to his house and was lucky to have seen him before he got there himself.

"Imam!" She called, getting his attention.

"Nova!" He called back, greeting her with a warm smile and a hug. "It's been far too long." He continuing to walk to his house.

"Yeah well, you know I've been busy with this conservation work. The fact that it even has to be a debate to choose an endangered species over building more plazas that people don't need is exhausting." She said.

"It seems people drift farther and farther from nature as technology continues to advance. I will pray your efforts continue to grow with great success." He said, a large smile on his face.

"Thank you. We need all the support we can get." She said, smiling back at him.

He opened the front door and they stepped inside. She felt something was different about the place, like the energy was off. She left him and was pulled towards what she thought might be causing such a change. She stopped when she saw the figure of a man, long locks of hair fell to the floor as he seemed to be shaving his head.

"Hello? You're one of Imam's friends?" She asked.

"Come, now. You sayin' you don't remember me? You of all people should remember." Came a familiar voice, as the man continued to shave his head.

Her heart started pounding.

'There's no way.' She thought.

"So, what have you been up to…,Angel?" Riddick said.

He turned around to face her, he looked her over a few times before smirking.

"Damn, someone's looking grown up." He said, in a semi-mocking voice while smirking.

"What's the matter?" Imam asked, when he came in and saw her shocked facial expression.

He hadn't seen him yet because of the angle he came into the room.

"The asshole is back." She seethed, venom dripping from every word.

Her facial expression had changed from shock, to pure visible hatred. He turned to see what she was talking about.

"Riddick!" He exclaimed dumbfounded.

"What's good, Holy Man?" Riddick said, smirking at him. "Did you know all your doors were locked? Five years ago, I took 3 people off that planet. A kid, Jack; who everyone else thought was a boy, a holy man searching for New Mecca, and a teenaged convict." He looked at her saying the last part. Riddick turned to him. "I told one man where I'd go, I showed trust to one man. Did I make a mistake, Imam?" He said, making him visibly nervous.

"There's no simple answer." Imam said, before he was cut off by Riddick, who now had a shiv to his throat.

She brought the handgun she had concealed in her waistband out, and had it up against Riddick's head in a matter of seconds.

"You sure you want to do that?" She challenged.

She was tempted to pull the trigger, but she had more self-control than that, for now. He gave her a sideways glance, then looked back at Imam.

"Whatever was said, was meant to give us a chance, a fighting chance." He said, shiv still against his throat. "Were it not for the threat of invasion I would have never betrayed you."

Riddick turned his head when he sensed Imam's wife, Azure, walk into range from upstairs.

"Riddick." She said, surprised to see him.

Everyone looked over and saw Imam's daughter crouching down against the bars of the railing. Riddick lowered his weapon and started walking towards the stairs.

"Your daughter, who's name would be…?" Riddick said, when he reached the outside of the bottom railing.

"No." Azure said, stopped their daughter from getting closer to him.

"If you have issue with me, then let it be with me. You need not know their names." Imam said.

"Zeesa. My name is, Zeesa." She said.

"Zeesa." Riddick said, getting in front of the staircase. "Cute kid." He turned to Imam.

"Did you really kill monsters? The ones that were going to hurt my father and, Nova?" Zeesa asked.

Riddick looked over at them.

"Such are our bedtime stories." Imam explained.

"Go, Zeesa, go on." Azure said, urging her along.

"Is it really necessary for a conservationist to be carrying a gun like that?" Imam asked.

"It's not all drinking tea and having civilized meetings. Money is money at the end of the day, and some people a hellbent on intimidation." She said.

Imam gave a slight nod in understanding before going off in the direction of his family.

"Going by your first name, now?" Riddick asked, turning towards her.

"The only people that call me by my first name are family and friends." She said.

"So, as a friend, does that mean I should too?" He asked, with a cocky smirk.

"Who said we were friends?" She asked.

"I don't know. I just figured that since we were pretty close once, in more than one way, that I'd still count." He said.

"Well, you don't, and the past is the past. So, whatever you think we have between us is irrelevant." She said.

"Of course, it is... Nova." He said, earning a death glare from her. "Now, who do I have to kill to get this payday off my head?"
