This story is currently undergoing a major overhaul. Technically, this particular story is done, but it was supposed to be a part of a trilogy. And as a part of my trilogy, I'm not happy with how this story was written overall. Granted that this was first written on the first weeks of my time in college, all the way back in the summer of 2010. I thought I writing then was good, but looking at it five years later and it's anything but that. It's passable for me then since I didn't know as much about the nuances on writing, but I look back on it now and cringe at how badly certain details and such were written.
As such, I decided to take on this story again and give it a major overhaul. I've been meaning for it to be a trilogy this entire time, but I had forgotten all about it over the course of time. I still remember that I only decided to make this story after buying my first Jak and Daxter game, "Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy", when I turned 18 after watching a Let's Play Youtube video of it and falling in love immediately with Daxter's antics and Jak's silent yet understandable behavior. Now that I've taken to replaying "Jak X: Combat Racing", I've remembered about this and want to redo the entire story.
Just a heads up for all you old followers who might still be around after five years since this particular story was deemed completed and to all of you who will see this and be interested. I'll also be working on other stories; I still have the original files of these stories from five years ago and will be working from them. The other stories are done through scratch, so those will obviously take more effort to write than the redoing of these chapters.
And that's it for this author's note. I will keep the title of this story the same on my updated version, and I will also delete this story once I'm ready to post the first updated chapter. I will also immediately delete the other attempt at an updated version to this story that I tried and failed miserably in doing. That one was written later on in my college years, but it's still pretty bad. Hopefully, my five years of college education in creative writing will shine through and make this story as best as it possibly could be. Hope to see you all on the updated version of this story along with the updates of my other stories on here everybody!
