Chapter 11: Andres Iniesta

The trip to the lake was rather fun. Sakura was really enjoying herself. Although in the first five minutes the gang had gotten there, Naruto had proceeded to push Sasuke and her into the water while they were sitting on the small dock. They had laughed it off before they did the same to their blonde-haired friend.

Oh, revenge was quite sweet. Indeed it was.

Ino grunted, dropping the grocery bag onto the counter. Sakura came in right behind her, arms full of bags containing food, "Be careful with that, Ino-pig. I'd rather not have bruised tomatoes for tonight's dinner." The blonde blew back the bangs covering an icy blue eye as she leaned against the sink from exhaustion. From what, questioned Sakura, she didn't know. The Yamanaka girl had only carried one bag from the car. Sakura carried about four times that much while TenTen, Hinata, and Temari brought in the cartons of soda and the rest of the snacks for the whole week. With the minimal effort that Ino contributed Sakura almost felt like telling her that she should make dinner. But no, she held back. The pinkette promised her boyfriend that she'd make him her infamous spaghetti (with extra tomato sauce as he requested) and she didn't quite trust Ino's cooking skills to do so.

Last time Ino had tried to cook a meal, she had caught instant rice on fire. On fire. I mean, how is that even possible? IT'S MADE IN WATER!

Sakura shook her head in amusement at the memory before beginning to take the groceries out of the plastic bags and into their respective place in the kitchen. She smiled when Ino had pushed herself off of the sink and began helping as did the other girls.

"Seriously, though," started Ino, ripping open a carton of soda with more force than necessary and sticking the cans in the side door of the fridge, "did the guys think they were gonna live off of beer this whole week that we're away from home?!" Temari shrugged, "They're guys. They don't know any better."

Ino scoffed, "Guys, not babies."

All the girls couldn't help but to agree with that statement.

Sakura retrieved the necessary food items along with the right cooking utensils for dinner and placed them on the counter beside the stove. She wasn't going to rush if she wanted the recipe to be made perfectly. She know once she started to rush, her speed would only continue and she's be chopping at the speed of light and end up cutting her finger off. The last thing she wanted was to spend the rest of her spring break in the hospital and with a big old cast looking thing on her possible stump finger while the rest of her friends would enjoy this awesome lake house. Obviously, no mistakes could be made here. She would have Sasuke begging for more.

Spaghetti, that is.

Thanks to Hinata's help in the process of making it, the dinner came out absolutely delicious. Or at least, that's what Sasuke had whispered in her ear after he took his first mouthful of noodles and sauce. Sakura grinned widely, sending the pale-eyed girl a quick thumbs up when she turned her way.

Even though Kiba's parents had provided a spacious dining room table, everyone seemed to be scattered around the house for dinner. They had grabbed their bowl of noodles and meatballs - which the pinkette had so kindly served so everyone had their fair share before second helpings - and retreated to where they wanted. Naruto, Hinata, Neji, and TenTen had made their way to the living room to watch a movie while eating (it would've been solely Naruto and Hinata if Neji wasn't the ever so protective cousin).

Temari and Shikamaru had gone to the back patio to go cloud watching before it got dark (his idea, of course, but the dirty blonde didn't mind as long as she got to cuddle with him when the stars popped into the night sky).

Kiba and Ino had snuck off to the master bedroom the fanged boy had claimed, bowls almost slipping out of their grasp as they rushed up the stairs (apparently they had a hot make out after a soccer game last week. Ino had told her as she was cutting the tomatoes. Sakura almost sliced her foot open when she lost her grasp around the sharp knife and it came tumbling to the floor at the news).

Sai had no problem eating at the gigantic table by himself. He was too engrossed in his drawings to care for company. He had his food beside his sketchbook, taking forkful after forkful of his dinner between every three minutes of doodling.

Sakura took her spot at the island in the kitchen, sitting on a bar stool beside Sasuke.

She was halfway done when she noticed Sasuke's plate was empty. The green-eyed girl nudged his side with her elbow before she motioned to his bowl, "Want some more before I stick the pot in the fridge? We have plenty left over."

He shook his head before sliding of the bar stool to stick his dirty dish in the sink. Sasuke walked back to stand behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist and placing a small kiss to the exposed skin of her neck. Sakura had tied her hair up in a simple ponytail while making supper and she had yet to take it down. She giggled at his actions, "Sasuke, please. At least let me put this in the fridge before I end up knocking it over or something because of you."

Sasuke backed away to give Sakura the chance to go and grab some aluminum foil, cover her plate with it, and place the dish on the top shelf of the fridge.

She went to the stove and grabbed the pot of leftover spaghetti, "If anyone wants seconds, help yourselves! It's in the fridge!" She heard faint 'yeahs' and 'oks' before she placed the pot where she said it would be. Sakura finally turned around to face Sasuke and smiled. He smirked back, reaching out to take her hand in his. "You wanna go upstairs?" he suggested. She blushed. Going upstairs meant going to their room, which meant cuddling on the bed, which led to kissing….and stuff.

"Yeah, sure."

Minutes later, Sakura found herself lying on her back on the bed with Sasuke hovering over her. One small hand gripped the sheets tighter, the other weaving itself through Sasuke's jet black spiked as said boy continued his ministrations of nuzzling into the juncture between her neck and shoulder. He was doing nothing more; just simply burying his face into her neck. But it was making Sakura tingle all over with what felt like butterflies fluttering their wings against every inch of her being.

And yet, she felt so at ease with her boyfriend like this.

Maybe it was with the help of the music drifting from the iPod dock by the balcony doors. Jonny Craig's "istilfeelher pt. 3" was filling the room, the smooth beat and rhythmic guitar slowly sinking into her ears and calming her when her boyfriend's hand went down to grip her thigh. Sakura managed to suppress the moan that had threatened to slip past her lips. She didn't really think about going farther than this.

Then again with Sasuke Uchiha and his wonderful touch, that was never the case.

After moments of brushing his lips against the fair skin of her slender neck, Sasuke finally went for her mouth.

Sasuke let out a deep hum of pleasure as his lips moved against hers, all the while slowly lowering his body to mold over his girlfriend's petite frame. He supported himself by planting his elbows on both sides of her head; Sakura could dominate this time (and this time only *wink wink*). She arched her back and pushed herself against him firmly as soon as she felt his hand go to lightly touch the sliver of skin exposed between her rising tank top and the top of her jeans.

Such a simple touch. Yet it felt like so much. The motion was so gentle, so warm, so Sasuke.

She whispered his name almost breathlessly when his hand finally made its way under her shirt and skimmed over her stomach, her ribcage, the valley between her breasts. His hand slithered back out and leisurely began to push up her shirt.

Whoa.

Sakura snapped her eyes open to see Sasuke looking right back at her, his hand void of any motion to continue. He looked concerned as if he had crossed any boundaries they had set or something. Before he could say anything that might silently ask if they should stop Sakura abruptly sat up, crossed her arms, grabbed the hem of her shirt, and pulled it up and over her head before pulling him back down on the bed with her for another kiss.

Sasuke didn't protest. He was glad that Sakura was feeling comfortable going this far with him now. And if that's all she wanted for now, he'd oblige to her request. Anything to make her happy.

He sat up on his knees, straddling her to take of his shirt as well. Sakura smiled as the toned muscles in his arms and shoulders flexed as he undressed his upper body. Goodness gracious, his torso was lean and even though she had seen him shirtless countless times before, she couldn't help but blush at the sight. He smirked - the jerk knew he was getting to her hormones - before pressing against her once again, this time skin to skin.

He attached his mouth to her shoulder, giving it a quick nip to which Sakura let out a light squeak. Sasuke chuckled, his mouth traveling across her collarbone, up her neck, and to her mouth once more. Sakura let out a sigh of content, especially when Sasuke grabbed her by the hips and rolled over onto his back to let her be on top. Her boyfriend was letting her lead this time, giving her the chance to set the pace and do what she felt was right to her. And she was thankful for that. Because, in all honesty, she knew she was the tiniest bit nervous deep down inside.

Not at the general idea of having sex with Sasuke but at more specific details. She was a virgin - her boyfriend knew that major detail - and he wasn't. What if she couldn't fulfill his sexual needs? She wasn't experienced in this field. She didn't know what he liked or what he didn't like. What if she was some kind of let down? What if she-

"Relax."

She didn't even realize she was squeezing her eyes shut until she opened them at the sound of Sasuke's voice. Maybe she was a lot more nervous than she actually thought she was. He continued to stare at her for a while before he repeated himself, "Relax."

He pushed himself up into a sitting position, bringing her up with him, and scooted back to rest against the bed's headboard. Sakura covered her face in embarrassment. Shit, was her anxiety about this that obvious? She honestly thought she was calm. Apparently, that wasn't the case. Sasuke gently pried her hands away, only to have her look down to avoid his gaze.

"Hey," he murmured, "I want you. You know that. You also know that I'll wait."

Sakura couldn't resist smiling at that. Sasuke Uchiha - always the gentleman. And that's when she realized she really wanted him to make her his.

"Sasuke, I'm read-"

Bzzzzz. Bzzzzz.

Sakura immediately looked to her side, her iPhone innocently lying among the covers and notifying her she had a text message. She tugged her hands out of his grasp and lunged over to grab her phone. Unlocking it with a quick swipe of her finger across the bottom of her screen, Sakura read the text out loud:

Don't mean to interrupt anything -wink wink- but everyone wants to play COD downstairs in the den, you guys game?
-Ino

Sakura didn't even wait for Sasuke's response before she hopped off the bed and headed for her shirt carelessly thrown on the floor. "Sasuke!" she squealed when her boyfriend tugged her back on the bed and onto his lap. She was straddling his lap again, but this time Sasuke kept a firm grasp on her upper thighs to keep her from leaving. Although the action was nothing but innocent intent, Sakura couldn't help the tingle she felt from his touch. She laughed sweetly, "Sasuke, come on. The others are waiting and-"

"Sakura."

The firm intensity in his voice had her silent immediately. She looked at him, his stare burning through her. She almost wanted to cower away. He was being so very serious and said exactly that out loud for her to hear. "I'm not joking when I say these things," he began, not faltering in his words, "But like I said before, I'm willing to wait if that's what you desire. No rush. Honestly. If I go too far for you, don't hesitate to tell me."

Sakura gave him a genuine smile, raising her hands that were once clutched to her chest to wrap around his neck. Whether he knew it or not Sasuke made her so goddamn happy. Not that she compared often but he was her only boyfriend in her high school years that gave no indication of pressuring her into a physical relationship. Sure, he'd been blunt just now about wanting to do the deed with her but he'd back off when she signaled her discomfort of going past her sexual comfort zone.

He really truly cared for her.

She leaned forward to kiss him sweetly and full on the mouth.

The now heated girl took it further by opening her mouth to let him taste her. And so he did.

He wasn't being rough or aggressive with his kissing now but rather driven by hunger, passion, and possessive. He wasn't hesitant in any of his movements, especially when he inched his hands up her thighs and over her ass to rest at the curve of her lower back. She shivered at the touch and proceeded to press herself closer, situating herself to be right on top of his crotch. A throaty moan made its way out of Sasuke's mouth to signal his pleasure from her movement. She blushed beautifully at the sound, pleased that she could get something like that out of him. The red on her cheeks only increased when she felt him roll his hips gently forwards a few times but this time she didn't shy away at his initiative.

In fact, she honestly felt completely comfortable and in control of herself.

Sakura was not the least embarrassed by their current situation. To further prove her sudden confidence - which she herself had no idea where it came from - her hands cupped his face so they could have eye contact when she imitated his movement and synced her hip rolling with him.

Sasuke sucked in a sharp breath before hoarsely calling out her name. his nails dug lightly into her fair skin.

"Relax," she repeated his words to him, "It's okay."

She dragged her hands down too grip her shoulders to steady herself as she once again gave a gentle thrust towards his pelvis. She felt him, or rather his hardened length, continually causing friction in a smooth rhythm. God, this was creating such a thrill in her. The music - a now calm hum of a tune she didn't recognize - was making this a soothing experience. However, she could stop this whenever she wanted as Sasuke had stated. Not that she wanted to now anyways.

A hand traveled to her front, slowly creeping up to make feather light touches on the swell of her breasts. Sakura let out a whimper when he boldly pulled down the cup (how convenient that it was strapless) and palmed her boob with his large hand as best as he could with the space given. She really didn't want to show anything at the moment; the reason why she was so close to him and left the light off, only letting the moonlight stream in through the windows to give some kind of light.

He leaned forward to whisper in her ear, "So perfect."

Sakura let go of his shoulders only to reach behind her and unclasp her bra; the article of clothing fell in between them. Sasuke quickly shoved it away to go back to gripping her by the hips and continuing the friction they were previously creating.

They were panting heavily now, foreheads touching and breaths mingling. The petite girl gave a sharp gasp when her boyfriend's hands skimmed to the buttons of her skinnies. He stopped there, however, and spoke, "Can I?"

Sakura let go. She let go of previous worries, nervous thoughts, and actions. She trusted im, utterly and completely with her feelings and body.

Sakura gave a simple nod of her head.

With a simple tug, Sasuke unbuttoned her jeans and went straight to the zipper next.

And right when that was done and he began to tug down her jeans ever so tantalizing, the door opened. There stood a rather red-faced Shikamaru Nara, frozen on the spot and wide-eyed at the couple on the bed. Shit.

Quick reflexes had Sasuke leaning over to grab the blanket and haul it over half-naked Sakura who was now burying her face into her hands in dying embarrassment.

"Ohymygodohmyodohmygod."

The pinkette's voice had the pony tailed brunette turning away in a flash before clearing his throat to speak, "I don't know if anyone texted you but the crew is setting up a game of COD: Black Ops if you want to join sometime." Sasuke placed a comforting kiss on Sakura's head, "Would you like to play?" Both males heard her muffled yes through her palms.

Shikamaru rubbed the back of his head as he sighed at the current situation. How troublesome to interrupt that. "Uh, I'll tell 'em you're joining in a couple of minutes. Yeah," with that said, he didn't waste time in shutting the door and heading back downstairs.

As soon as the door closed, Sakura rushed in slipping her bra and tank top back on. Sasuke sat on the edge of the bed, reaching down by his feet to grab his white v-neck from the floor, "What's the rush?" He pulled it over his head and was just starting to stick his arms through the right sockets when he noticed Sakura rummaging through his tote bag. He raised an eyebrow.

"It's COD: Black Ops, Sasuke. How could you not be excited?"

The raven-haired guy had to resist from rolling his eyes; she didn't seem that excited when Ino had texted her about it. Well then, that meant his ministrations were far greater than any video games. She couldn't resist him. He smirked.

His girlfriend turned to face him, his red Spain adidas track jacket in her hands and pleading eyes on her face to silently ask him for permission to wear it. Oh, the eyes. She knew his weakness, too. Sasuke nodded. She squealed in delight, tugging it on and racing out of the room. He shook his head in disbelief at the pinkette. For someone who was flaming red in embarrassment form being caught in such an intimate act with him, she sure as hell didn't dhow it three minutes later.

He absolutely adored this girl.

The next day everyone had agreed to have a tiny scrimmage at the park Kiba knew about a few miles down the road. The whole gang had put on simple sneakers, crammed into two cars, and somehow ended up at small ice cream shop on the way there.

It seemed that everyone but Sasuke, Shikamaru, and Neji had ice cream in a waffle cone in their hands. Well, Temari was somewhat force feeding Shikamaru so Sasuke and Neji were the only ones NOT eating the dairy delicacy.

"Oh, come one, Sasuke," begged Sakura, "Just a tiny taste. I'm sure you'll like it if you'd just try it!"

He scrunched his nose in disgust, turning his face away in the process. Sakura pulled away her dessert and stuck out her tongue at him. How would he know he didn't like ice cream is he's never had it before? Just because he didn't like other sweets - besides whipped cream - did not automatically make ice cream on his hate list. Sasuke could be so damn stubborn sometimes. With a shrug, Sakura went back to eating her vanilla ice cream.

Naruto abruptly stood up from the picnic table they were sitting on, "Hey! Let's just walk to the park from here! It's not that far a walk now, right? By the time we get there, we'll be done with our ice cream!"

Sasuke smirked, "Hn, not a bad idea dead-last. I guess you're not as big of a dumbass as I thought." The blonde smiled wide, "I have my moments of brilliance." He triumphantly placed his hands on his hips like a victor, also dropping his cone of mint chocolate chip ice cream as he did so.

"That," teased Sakura as she pointed to a now whining Naruto, "is not one of those moments."

Sakura bounced the soccer ball on her knees and feet, all the whole on her iPhone. Not once in the past minute had it hit the ground. Naruto frowned as he watched her, "Sakura, stop doing that! You're making all of us look bad! Except for your stupid show off boyfriend who's apparently just good at everything."

Said girl looked up from her activity of texting and smiled, "It's all about practice, Naruto. You should try it sometime and maybe you wouldn't suck so fucking bad."

The blonde looked up in complete shock at her words until he saw the smug smile on her face that signified she was just teasing him once again. He laughed, running up to one of his best friends and stealing the ball from her feet, "Yeah, yeah. Not let's get a scrimmage going, guys!"

There were many things Sakura disliked in the sport of soccer.

She was definitely not a fan of shirt tugging players - that's a big no no- , rained out fields, and people who couldn't make a simple throw-in. But the one thing she disliked the most about soccer so far in her life was playing against Sasuke.

No, he wasn't playing dirty or being a distraction for her with his gorgeous physicality (although he was major eye-candy with the concentrated look on his face throughout the game). And no, he wasn't being extra tough on her as in pushing her to get the ball from his feet or making jukes to confuse her.

No, not that.

It was the fact that he was doing the exact opposite of that last statement.

Sasuke was going easy on her and it was getting really goddamn frustrating. It was like he was going back to his old ways, sexist and pitying her soccer skills. Okay, maybe he wasn't pitying her but he wasn't exactly putting out his best when he neared her with the ball. She let out a frustrated groan when she yet again stole the ball from Sasuke's feet easily. Giving the ball an unnecessary hard kick that sent it flying across the park and toppling over a trash can, Sakura stomped off their make shift field and to the lone bench, "Let's take a break!"

Almost everyone exchanged worried looks about their pink-haired best friend's obvious distress before they cautiously walked off the field as well to get some water. Oh, they knew once Sakura was in a bad mood it was like walking on eggshells.

Shit sticks.

Sakura was sitting on the far end, opposite her friends, of the bench when Sasuke approached her first, "Hey." She looked up and replied with her own sullen 'hey' before she crouched to retie her shoe laces. He lightly tapped her shin with his foot to regain her attention, "Something wrong?"

Sakura almost scoffed out loud at his question. As if he didn't know.

So he wanted to play the innocent victim with her, huh? Two can play at that game, my dear.

Finishing the double knot, Sakura gave her boyfriend an obviously forced smile as she stood up, "Everything's just dandy."

Mm, thought Sasuke, she's definitely mad.

She turned away from him with intent on getting a quick drink from the water fountain a few feet away when Sasuke grabbed her arm. Without thinking, Sakura jerked her arm free from his grasp. Sasuke's eyebrows furrowed in confusion at her actions. What the hell?!

She was mad at him? HIM?!

Just what in the fuck had he done to rile her up like this? "I'm just getting some water, Sasuke. I'm not running away or anything," she stated, glad that her voice had not failed her. She was hoping he would just let it go so she could get away from him already. She needed to cool off before she completely lost it. Sasuke was having none of this nonsense, however. Gently grabbing her by the arm this time to show his concern, Sasuke swung her around as best as he could without force. That's when he noticed.

Oh shit, she was going to cry.

Not wanting to make a scene in front of their friends (too late for that Uchiha) he hauled her over to sit under the shade of a fairly far tree. Sakura didn't protest at all. He sat down and pulled her into his lap, "What's on your mind?" Sakura crossed her arms and muttered, "Nothing."

"Bullshit," called Sasuke, "You're mad and it's honestly affecting the whole gang."

"Well, I wouldn't be so mad if you would stop taking it easy on me every time we're near each other on the field," she snapped. That was the reason she was mad? She thought he was going easy on her?! Sasuke couldn't resist letting out a small chuckle at her obliviousness. There he was earlier trying his best to get past her on the field and she's stop him every single damn time. Sakura glared at him and his laughter, "This isn't funny, Sasuke. I'm trying to improve and you're not giving me any sort of motivation or push. I'm not so fucking delicate."

"I know for sure that you're not delicate," he retaliated, "but what you are is stubborn. Has it ever slipped into your mind that maybe I am trying my hardest on you and you're actually better than me now?" Sakura scoffed at the question. Oh, please.

He rolled his eyes at that.

"Haruno, seriously. Believe me as a teammate and your boyfriend that I'm no going easy on you. The only thing I'm laying back on is pushing because I'm trying not to injure you before our games and shit."

When Sakura looked up at him, Sasuke was nothing but serious in his facial expression. He was being honest with her. Completely honest. However, she still couldn't believe it. How could she surpass Sasuke Uchiha's soccer skills in only a few months? Well sure, she's been practicing just as hard (maybe even harder) as the other players on the team, but so was Sasuke. He's improving just like the others. There was no way she was better. No way.

"What happened to you?"

Sakura blinked, taken back by Sasuke's question, "Excuse me?"

He readjusted her on his lap before he continued, "What happened to the girl I saw on the first day of soccer tryouts? The one with all the confidence in her soccer skills ore than anyone on the field without getting cocky and rubbing it in the guys' face? Who believed in herself to keep improving in order to get scouted by the best soccer teams in college out there in the nation?" Sasuke had gripped her by the shoulders now, causing her to be face to face with him.

"Why are you doubting yourself?"

The soccer co-captain opened her mouth but choked on her words - well, she wasn't even sure what words she was planning to say. Her mind was jumbled with thoughts; thoughts that were unclear and pounding in a mess through every part of her brain. All from her boyfriend's question that came with good reasoning. Why exactly was she doubting herself? Where was this negativity coming from? Just like Sasuke had asked, where the former Sakura who was so sure of herself?

She was a soccer player and a damn good one at that. There was nothing in the future that was stopping her from being otherwise.

So why couldn't she just believe Sasuke when he told her she was better than him on the field?

Obviously, Sasuke wouldn't just say that if he were joking. He just wasn't like that. He wouldn't joke like this. Hell, he hardly ever joked at all. And so with a frustrated/defeated sigh, Sakura turned around only to lean back against Sasuke's chest. He immediately wrapped his arms around her torso. "Why am I so damn stupid?" she asked, running her hands over her face before settling over the arms around her. Sasuke's lips grazed her neck as he murmured an 'I don't know' against her warm skin. She playfully slapped his arm, "You're not supposed to agree with me!" He smirked, continuing to rub his nose lightly against the back of her neck.

Oh, how he adored it when her hair was in a ponytail. Mm, more skin to kiss. Typical testosterone.

They both looked up when their names were yelled.

Naruto was waving both hands in the air; the rest of the gang was slowly making their way back onto the make shift field. "Come on, you twisted love birds! We're starting!"

"Fuck you, dead-last! We're going!" yelled Sasuke, sending the blonde into a fit of laughter before joining the others. Sakura calmly climbed off of her boyfriend's lap and tugged at his hand for him to do the same; he did. The couple made their way to the crew, who sighed in relief when they saw the genuine smile once again on the pinkette's face. Sasuke leaned down to Sakura's ear, "Let's make the best of the rest of spring break here."

And so they did.

It was back to the norm at school.

Breakfast, boring classes, lunch, more boring classes, then soccer practice. The same daily routine. Oh! - and a few (ahem, actually more than a few) kisses here and there with Mr. Sasuke Uchiha. Who knew he was so affectionate where there was no audience? Mm, that was the most exciting thing that would happen these past school days.

It wasn't until the Thursday of the week they were back in school when something really happened.

Sakura was simply walking to class with Sasuke right after lunch when she spotted a certain female redhead down the hallway. She definitely needed to have a talk with her about a certain appearance at a club not too long ago. The pinkette halted her steps causing Sasuke to stop with her, confused about the frown now marring her pretty face. As soon as his onyx eyes landed on his ex-girlfriend, he warned Sakura, "Please don't do anything reckless."

The soccer captain already had his hand on her shoulder with intent to lead her straight to class when she shrugged him away and smiled. Oh, boy.

"Don't worry. I'm not going to hurt her or anything like that. I just need a quick word with Miss Karin, that's all," she innocently informed, "I'll see you in class, kay?" Sasuke gave a quick glance to the girl across the hall then back to the girl in front of him before sighing reluctantly, "Like I said. Nothing reckless."

"Oh, Sasuke. When have I ever been reckless?"

He raised an eyebrow.

She frowned, "Okay, don't answer that."

Sakura gave him a hug goodbye before she headed towards the redhead who was currently in mid-conversation with other Sasuke fan girls. Oh goodness, the pinkette wouldn't doubt it if they were planning her death sentence. God only knows hw evil and dramatic those girls could be. "Karin," Sakura tapped the girl's shoulder, "I need to talk to you."

Said girl took one look at her before brushing her off with an eye roll, "Can't you see I'm busy talking to more important people than you?"

The green-eyed soccer player glared hard at the back of Karin's head, who had turned back around to her friends. Uh-uh, this bitch was not going to ignore her right now. Especially not now. Sakura needed answers from her. Her hand clamped down on Karin's shoulder, hard. Forcefully whirling her around, Sakura spoke up, "Look, Karin, I'm not really giving you a choice. I need to have a word with you whether you like it or not." The redhead rested a hand on her cocked hip as she continued to scrutinize the girl in front of her. Ugh, she was so not in the mood for this. But she gave in anyways.

Karin turned to her friends, "Sorry to cut the gossip short but this girl is desperate for my attention. I guess I become more popular by the minute, huh? Ha. I should be nice before she head butts me with that gigantic forehead of hers. Love you. Bye."

Sakura almost gagged at the fact that they blew kisses at each other to say goodbye. Whatever. To each their own, she supposed.

And she almost punched Karin in the face because she spoke to those girls as if she wasn't standing right there. But she resisted; much like she resisted insecurely rubbing her forehead. Yeah, it stung a little. She just wouldn't admit that out loud. Back to the current situation though.

"I just want to ask you a simple question so you small brain does not combust from the complexity of my words," she began, watching as Karin wasted no time in looking uninterested by opening her locker to retrieve her purse, "How do you know Sasori and what are your intentions with him?"

"Whatever are you talking about, Sakura-dear?" questioned Karin, placing a hand over her chest as if in disbelief. She would so anything to get under the pinkette's skin. And she was doing a pretty damn good job at it, too. Sakura gritted her teeth in frustration. Was this girl honestly going to act like a ditzy and confused little bimbo? You have got to be kidding me. Sakura wasn't here to waste time arguing with her boyfriend's ex; in fact, that was the last thing she wanted to do if it ended up causing unnecessary drama. However, there was the constant uneasy feeling of Sasori talking shit about her followed by Karin being physically attached to him not long after.

Something just wasn't right and the pinkette was determined to unravel the truth.

"I'm not here to play games with you. Just answer me because I clearly saw you with him at the club the day before spring break."

Karin slammed her locker shut, her once innocent expression now replaced with a sneer. Ha, now the true redhead was out in the open. Sakura knew she couldn't keep up the sweet façade for long.

"Listen up, you big foreheaded freak. What I do outside of school isn't any of your business."

"It is my business when you were so hung up on Sasuke and all of a sudden you moved on just like that."

Of course, Karin wasn't going to admit that Sakura had a very good point. And yes, she was actually still very much intent on winning Sasuke back from pinky, but there was no way in hell that was she exposing her plan to Sakura. Absolutely no way in fucking hell. And that was that. Her head was so full of confidence that her plan would succeed and someone smite her if it went wrong and backfired. She snorted mentally, of course, because that was not going to happen. Karin thought this through so many times and nothing would mess up.

She would make sure of that.

Karin believed she was Andres Iniesta.

Yeah, she actually liked soccer, thank you very much. No one could really know of this; it would ruin her reputation of being so very feminine and all that. What would all these girly girls who looked up to her (uh, yeah right. Whatever makes you feel better Miss Karin) think of her if they found out she was a fan of such a sweat-producing, thunder-thigh creating sport? Ha, hell no that was not going to happen! She was fashionista with great hair who liked lipgloss, high heels, and short skirts. This was her little secret.

I mean, that's what made Sasuke interested in her in the first place, right? She was the only female in their grade who didn't take a second glance at the posters plastered on the wall notifying students about an upcoming soccer game. Instead, she signed up for cheerleading and homecoming and all that jazz. Maybe it was the fact that she actually cared for her kept up appearance that had Sasuke wanting to date her, right?

Right?

She had glue on her boots (the knee-high stiletto kind, not the soccer cleats synonym) much like Iniesta. He didn't need help from his teammates, or anyone for that matter, to make amazing plays and score goals that made him so famous. He has everything a team needs to win. They would be nothing without him, Karin thought, which was why his team of Spain had such a grand victory in this past World Cup. And in Karin's team of one, she would be nothing without her self confidence in her own plays. I am the female version of Andres Iniesta, she concluded to herself, and nothing will ever stop me from being just that. Not even this little bitch Sakura Haruno. SHE would make her own name in her bright future.

And that included Sasuke Uchiha as her boy toy by her side.

Karin finally took the time to respond to Sakura's accusation, "Like I said before, what I'm doing is none of your business. You have Sasuke already so why do you care what I'm doing with this kid, huh? Stick to your own love life and maybe we wouldn't have a problem between us. How's Sasuke anyway? I'm sure you're all lovey-dovey with him, right? Have you gotten the chance to see his real affection in his bed? Because let me tell you-"

"I could care less what you and Sasuke did," Sakura cut her short, "because that's in the past. Sasuke and I started fresh and away from what we've done before. Karin, I'm not trying to rub it in your face that Sasuke and I are dating and really happy with each other right now."

"Could've fooled me."

Sakura threw up her hands in anger. Not only was this immature child not going to listen to her at all, but all this now pointless arguing had made her late for class. She was glad this was her first tardy of the semester; she did not need these adding up and causing for after school detention which would mean that she'd be off the team for a game. That didn't sound good at all.

"I'm done with all this shit, Karin. Do what you want. I don't even care anymore. Kaythanks."

The redhead smiled smugly at her rival's retreating form. Getting her pissed off seemed like the easiest job in the world and she wouldn't hesitate to do it every chance she got.

Everything was going according to plan.
