A Forbidden Love
This is a poem based on the struggles between Zuko and Katara's love.
I don't own Zuko or Katara
Their love was doomed from the very start.
Since the day her eyes stole his heart.
A true Romeo and Juliet
Their love was forbidden by the skies.
By their nations, tribes and families.
Water's daughter and the prince of fire
Sworn enemies by nature,
But both sharers of tragedy
The lost of someone dear to them
Brought them to an understanding
And thoughts of the other began changing
Yet tragedy striked again
And put them both at different ends
Betrayal led way into hatred
Pleas for forgiveness were ignored
And exasperation began to form
Fire made an oath
To prove to water of its worth
The betrayer soon became the trusted.
The love of both was renewed
And was soon after guaranteed
By a necklace placed upon her neck
But even so no one believed
That fire and water could live as one
For the traditions of old
Had already said
That fire and water were much to different
To live together as one
But the lovers ignored all the others
For they knew by experience
That for every single difference
They were was a similarity
