This is my revised version of this story. I've added many things to this story and hope my readers will like it.

Story starts here:

The moon was high in the sky as the young newly weds slept in each others arms. Well only one was asleep. The other was wide awake looking at her handsome husband sleep. She lightly kissed his cheek and got up so not to disturb him and went into the small living room of their apartment. Getting herself a glass of water she sat on the couch and turned on the TV. Skimming through the channels not paying any attention to the channels. Something did catch her eyes though and she whirled around when she saw a shadow in the hall way.

"Yami! You scared me," she said placing her hand over her pounding heart.

"Sorry Zeda, I woke up and you weren't there," Yami said and sat next to her placing his arms around her, pulling her close.

"I couldn't sleep," she said leaning into his warm embrace.

"What's on your mind love?" he asked curiously.

"Us…" she said sighing as she smiled.

"Us? What about us?" Yami asked confused.

"About the day we met." Yami thought for a minute, "Do you mean during Battle City?" He asked remembering when he saw her enter the arena where the blimp had picked them up. She was one of the ten duelists that made it to the finals. She ended up making it to the final five and had to they had to duel each other to make the final four finalists. That's when he learned about the eighth millennium item. She helped him get his memory back and that when he learned of their past together, and he decided not to leave and depart to the afterlife. It was all because of her.

"No that's when we were reunited. I mean when we first met. 5,000 years ago. When you were pharaoh and I was a peasant," she said sighing. Yami sighed and tightened his grip on her.

"You were never just a peasant to me Zeda, however I don't like to remember that. I know I got my memory back and that's what I wanted, but those aren't the greatest memories in the world… That was when I lost you…"

Flashback: 5,000 years ago…

"My Pharaoh I really must protest…"

"Its my kingdom I have the right to roam about it freely if I want to, do I not?" Lord Atem asked. Clearly the young pharaoh was getting annoyed at one of his high priests Imhotep

"Yes but…." Imhotep said. ( yes I know the Mummy but I suck at coming up with names)

"But what? None of you have been seriously looking for the eighth millennium item some of you don't think it is even still in Egypt. However we're going to need it. If Aishisu's necklace's prediction was true we are going to be having a war involving the items, we will need that eighth item. Aishisu is rarely wrong," Lord Atem said.

"Yes my lord but we don't even know were to look and we've been looking for months," the Imhotep said.

"Where have you been looking?"

" The temples, wealthy homes, anywhere an item of that importance should be…"

"Then that's why we can't find the item! You've been looking in places where there is a good chance of finding it, when you should be looking somewhere unusual. I'm going out into the kingdom to look for myself," the pharaoh said smirking after he made his point.

"Very well my pharaoh , but are you at least going to go undercover. It may not be a good thing if people recognize you my lord," Imhotep suggested. He didn't care to much for the young pharaoh, mainly because Imhotep practically raised Atem and now has to take orders from him. Which he wasn't exactly to thrilled about.

"With my hair I'll be recognized no matter what," Lord Atem said and finally made it to the stables to get his horse. He quickly headed out before Imhotep could protested anymore…

In the village where the pharaoh was visiting, wealthy Egyptians tend to abuse their power over their servants.

"Zeda! Get your lazy ass in here!" A mans voice roared through out the house.

"Yes sir…" Zeda said keeping her head down.

"Get me a drink, whine."

"Yes sir…"She said as she went back into the extra small kitchen of the extra large house. As Zeda got the whine she grumbled. She hated that man, but he has been better then some of the other masters that she has heard about. They rape, beat, and treat them like dirt. She thought they were lucky. Her and her best friend Lilly have been serving their master for almost ten years and has had many women to keep him satisfied so they never worried if he'd try anything with them.

Sighing Zeda went back with the wine and headed back into the kitchen to prepare lunch. She looked at her reflection in one of the pots she hated her outfit but it wasn't terrible. Long blue tang-topish dress with a slit on each side to her knees and a rope belt around her waist, and surprisingly comfortable sandals. She heard her master call her best friend Lilly into the other room and she wasn't in there long before Zeda heard a scream. Lilly screamed which could only mean one thing, he was going to have his way with her. Zeda gripped her medallion, 'I can't let that happen. He treats us like shit but I can't let him do that to her,' she thought and grabbed the hot pan that had hot embers on it. Zeda rushed into the room as their master was grabbing her friend and without even thinking, hit him as hard as she could with it. He fell hard to the ground and Zeda grabbed Lilly's hand and they ran out.

The two girls ran as fast as they could toward the village as they heard their master curse loudly and he began to run after them. They ran into the crowded market place and quickly ducked in and out of the small shops and finally found a dark ally that they could hide in. Zeda and Lilly sat there for a minute to catch their breath and so that they could think of something, anything to get them out of this. Finally Zeda came up with a plan.

"Lilly we're going to have to split up," Zeda said.

"I don't think that's a good idea Zeda, he'll find us and punish us," Lilly said.

"Lilly he's pissed at me, he wont come after you, he's going to want to capture me before you. He'll want to punish me more then you. I'll leave first, wait till he see's me and runs after me. Then you need to run, and run fast."

"Run where? He's wealthy, he knows people, he can find us anywhere," Lilly said terrified.

"Run to your brothers house, you told me he lives on the outskirts of the kingdom. Our master doesn't know about your brother and wont go anywhere near that side of town. Go there and stay there. Whatever happens stay with him and don't come looking for me.…" Zeda said. Lilly's eyes filled with tears.

"Be careful, and thank you," Lilly said and hugged her friend. Zeda hugged her back. Taking a deep breath she ran out of the ally. That was the last time she would ever see her friend. At least not till 5,000 years later.

Zeda got her masters attention by throwing a rock at his head which she didn't exactly think through and ran as soon as she was sure he would chase after her. Not paying attention to where she was running, she ran into something. Something hard. She hit it so hard she fell on her butt. Looking up she saw what she ran into was horse, a now very spooked horse and the horse reared up and came crashing down barely missing her. The horse was finally calmed down by its owner and the rider slid off the horse. Zeda opened her eyes and removed her arms from over head after her moment of terrier and saw a three different colors. Her eyes finally focused and she saw a hand being held out to her. She looked up and she saw the young man who was offering to help her up. He had beautiful ruby red eyes that had instantly captured her. She took his hand and he helped her to her feet.

"Are you alright miss?" He asked as his deep voice sent chills down her spine. Then she remembered why she was running.

"No, I was being chased…" She said looking around. When she finally saw her master he was on the ground kneeling before the man who had helped her up. She looked at him and realized the man who was still holding her hand was the pharaoh. She let go of his hand and knelt down before him as well. The pharaoh had also noticed something. The girl he just saved wore a necklace, and not just any necklace, a medallion, and not just any medallion, the millennium medallion. The man who had been chasing the girl got up and grabbed her and tried to leave with her. And that he would not going to allow.

"Let go of that girl!"
