Unlikely Admirer

Kuja felt wary of any idea emperor Mateus had. Especially since the bastard had appointed himself the boss from the very first moment he'd arrived. Who did he think he was to be ordering everybody around?

But, this 'valentines' blind date event meant that he could spend some time away from most of the other morons and wear his new clothes at the same time; so he was going to enjoy this little 'free time' as much as he could, no matter who he had been paired with. After all, he could just get rid of the idiot and stay by himself since nobody else looked that happy with the Emperor's idea.

Dread crept up Kuja's spine when he heard the creaking of armor behind him. So he had gotten one of the tin cans, great. Would it be the talking tree or the angsting mage? He turned around to find himself face to face with Garland, right hand of the god Chaos.

"AAAUUUGH!!" he screamed, gliding backwards. He almost lost his balance and fell down, but recovered his composure fast enough to merely end upside down on midair.

"Oh…Hm…" started Garland, and Kuja realized his position. He turned back up and cleared his throat.

"Err…Garland. I did not expect you to take part in this dreadful…oh," Kuja's eyes fell on the bouquet of roses and package of candies the knight carried in his hands. "For me?" he asked, and the knight nodded. Kuja couldn't care less about the big pile of armor, but the roses and the candy? He hadn't seen anything like that in so long!

Suddenly he realized how much he missed it all from his world, silks, chocolates, exotic flowers; he grabbed the present's from Garland's hands. Perhaps this wouldn't be a bad day at all.
