Passing Notes
History did not fascinate Grady Mitchell. He did not find wit or anything humorous about dates and battles. Luckily for Grady, Tawni Hart did not like history either so the two blondes spent their time in class passing notes to one another.
Grady wrote in his messy handwriting: I hate this class! He tapped Tawni on the shoulder and gave her the note. She replied using her glittery pink pen with her perfect cursive handwriting.
I know, Grady, but you need to be positive.
Grady smirked. It was ironic that Tawni Hart was telling him to be positive but it was cute. Then you explain what is so great about this class.
Tawni gave him a classic award-winning smile and wrote her reply with a coy grin: you get to sit behind the prettiest girl in the world.
Grady smiled as he mentally admired Tawni's icy blue eyes, perfect shimmering golden hair, and adorable smile that could brighten up a room. You are right, you happen to be the prettiest girl in the entire world. I am so glad I get to sit behind a girl like you.
When Tawni ready Grady's response, she was surprised. She was accustomed to telling herself that she was pretty. She could feel the warmth and joy that filled her heart. Before she could reply, the bell rang for lunch.
Sonny, Zora, Nico, Grady, and Tawni sat together at lunch. Sonny noticed Tawni fight back the tears in her eyes and asked, "Tawni, are you feeling alright? Did something happen?"
Tawni shook her head and gave a genuine sensitive smile as she looked at the chubby blonde boy sitting across the table from her. "I'm fine," she replied watching a tear from her eye, "the sweetest and funniest boy in the world genuinely thinks I'm the prettiest girl in the world."
Grady smiled and grabbed Nico's napkin and wrote on it, and then he passed it to Tawni.
She opened it and replied before she folded it into quarters I love you too.
