Title: Little Brother
Genre: Family
Rating: K
Disclaimer: I no own
Summary: Oneshot. To Dot it made her heart ache, because she missed out on being able to watch him grow into this man.
Dot watched him. Taking in his stubble covered square jaw, and his rugged face. He was what some women would consider sexy. The markings of an alpha male were written all over him: in his stance, speech, and strut. She wondered on how he had lost his right eye, and where he got the replacement.
It was difficult to see the little sprite Enzo used to be in this man.
"Could you stop staring?" His voice was pure masculinity and would rock most women at their core.
But it made Dot's heart ache painfully, because she missed out on being able to watch him grow into this man. Enzo's life was an unfair one, a childhood cut short and an adulthood rushed into.
"Sorry," She forced a cheerful smile at him, "Would you like an energy shake?"
He looked up at her from cleaning his gun. One eye was the same violet as her own, the other was molten gold. "Sure, it's been cycles since I've had one."
Again she couldn't help but wonder about things. Who had fed him during their time apart? Who had clothed him? Who had given him the weapons that he used now? What did he do in order to survive?
She slid him his drink.
"Thanks," Enzo, because she could never call him just Matrix, gave her a small smile. It verged on awkward on his face, as if he forgotten exactly how to smile.
"You're welcome." And Dot wished that she had the courage to sit and talk with him.
Fin
MoonLLotus: First Reboot fic ever. I always felt as if it kind of skimmed over Dot's reaction to Matrix. Enzo was all that she had left after Bob was thrown into the tear, so I figured that Dot had wanted to reach out to Enzo, but just couldn't. Please review, flames are welcome!
