"Every time," Utau crows, "every time we come to town and you see that Amu girl, you go out of your way to pester her." She shakes her head scronfully. "What a juvenile way of flirting..."

Utau is staring at Ikuto smirking, and that is never good.

Ikuto stares at her suspiciously. "What?"

Utau ambles forward to drape an arm around Ikuto's shoulders. "Ikuto, Ikuto," she sighs. "When were you going to tell me? Really, I have a right to know."

Ikuto tries to shrug her arm off. "Know what?"

She smirks edging into a lazy grin. "That you're in love."

Ikuto's eyes go dark, "I don't know what you're talking about."

"Every time," Utau crows, "every time we come to town and you see that Amu girl, you go out of your way to pester her." She shakes her head scornfully. "What a juvenile way of flirting…"

"I have no idea what you're talking about." He says quickly.

"Please. Either you're a gay pedophile, staring at little Tadase who is always next to her, or a straight pedophile, staring at Amu-chan."

"You are so weird," Ikuto growls, and again tries unsuccessfully to rid himself of Utau's restraining arm. Her grip is surprisingly strong. "And I'm not a pedophile, they're only a few years younger than me."

Utau smiles, pleased at this, "Aha! So you admit it!"

Ikuto glares at her, with pure evil and hate in his eyes. "I. Do. Not. Like. Her."

She makes a sound of impatience. "Denial. Fine, if you don't like her I'll just make way there and…."

Ikuto glares and places a hand on Utau's shoulder. "No."

"So you like her?"

"No."

Utau pats his head. "Aw, you're embrassed aren't you? That's so cute."

Their mother, who had approached them unexpendentantly, speaks. "Now, what's all this about?"

"Ikuto is in love!" She exclaims, then she points the girl out to their mother. "That's her, see her? Talking to Tadase? The one with the 'x' clip in her hair."

Their mother looks where Utau is pointing and then smiles approvingly at Ikuto. "She's pretty. I hope you didn't choose her just for that, though. And isn't she rather young?"

Utau nods her head in agreement, "I know right? But she's okay, actually. Little sweet-heart, not that I'll ever admit that to her face. Pfft."

Their mother wipes away an imaginary tear. "Kids. They grow up so fast…"

Utau nods her head again, "I know. Soon he'll be sneaking off to her house banging her non-stop."

Ikuto puts his face in his hands. "I hate my life."
