Peter is the world's worst uncle. The way he looks at her. The way he says her name. The way he touches her. There not the way an uncle should.

He looks at her like she's his world. He touches her like she's so precious, like she would break if he was too rough. He says her name like a lover would.

Claire doesn't mind. As far as nieces go, she is far from the best. She does it on purpose, to tease him. To torture him. The clothes she wears that show just a little too much. The looks she gives him which beg him to touch her.

And it's okay because Peter likes to be tortured a little. He likes to be teased. And he really likes to touch her.

Here, now, in this dark room rented under false names, Peter is the world's worst uncle. He looks at Claire like she's his world because she is. He touches her softly, so softly, afraid she'll break. And he whispers her name, quietly, franticly, the way a lover would.

Oh yes, Peter was definitely the world's worst uncle. But he more than made up for it by being the world's best boyfriend.
