Cordy sat on the bed, hugging her knees as silent tears fell. Angel stood at the door, heart breaking. As he watched, her silent tears turned into heartbreaking sobs.

He crossed the room and pulled her into his arms, holding her tight. "Shh, it's okay. It's okay, Cordy," he whispered into her ear. His gentle words only caused her to cry harder. He continued whispering soft words, hoping to bring her the comfort she so desperately needed. "Oh, baby, don't cry."

"I'm so sorry."

Angel smiled. "You're forgiven."

"But how--"

"Because I love you," he told her, kissing her tenderly.
