Mai leaned back in the seat and sighed. The case was over, AND she was riding back with Takigowa! She didn't know where Naru was, but she hadn't worried about it. She'd just assumed he rode with Lin

Monk glanced over at her and smirked. He pulled a c.d out of his shirt and put it into the player. He turned the volume up a small crank, and began to tap his hands on the steering wheel while bouncing left and right from the beat.

"You're on the phone with your girlfriend, She's upset

She's going off about something that you said

Cause she doesn't get your humor like I do"

Takigowa suddenly leaned over and raised the volume on the radio to seemed like the highest max. He grinned like an idiot and began to sing along

"I'm in my room, its a typical Tuesday night

I'm listening to the kind of music she doesn't like

And she'll never know your story like I do"

Monk turned a corner a little to sharp and Mai heard something stir in the back seat. She didn't worry about it, Just equipment being turned around.

"But she wears short skirts, I wear t-shirts

She's cheer captain and I'm on the bleachers

Dreaming bout the day when you wake up and find

That what you're lookin for has been here the whole time"

Mai suddenly saw a hand appear out from under a black blanket. And it pulled back the covers slightly to reveal a head. Mai gasped and avoided eye contact with her narcissist boss. She tapped Monk to try to save him the embarrassment, but the old man completely ignored her.

"If you could see that I'm the one who understands you

Been here all along so why can't you see?

You belong with me

You belong with me"

He sang at the loudest he could, grinning from ear to ear. Mai turned the radio off. Monk glared at her "What was that for?" Mai nodded toward

Naru. Monk looked in the review mirror and saw the huge scowl they were getting. Obviously karaoke would need to wait....
