I'm back my dears! I didn't die haha. I kinda of picked this up out of nowhere and I should be doing homework but fuck it. Anyways, I don't own any of the VK characters and I hope you guys enjoy this short little update after about 4 years? I'm sorry Dx

Misterioso

"Up next: Kaname Kuran and Zero Kiryuu . They were the top players on their respective instruments and have been elected by you all to play Beethoven's duet for violin and cello in C major. Please give them your undivided attention and let the show begin!" Cross jumped up in excitement after his announcement and skipped into the audience to watch the long awaited performance.

The sweet high notes from the violin and lovely baritone notes from the cello filled the song hall. Everyone watched as Zero furiously moved his bow up and down his precious violin while Kaname sat in his chair calmly and lovingly played on his own instrument. The two in combination were so different, yet they seemed so complete… Seemingly like two halves of a whole. Meanwhile in the audience Yuuki gripped onto the handle of her chair. Why couldn't that be her sitting there on stage playing with her beloved Kaname-sama? She would need to practice her violin even more to be up to par, or even compete with Zero. Kaname looked so happy playing up there on stage with Zero. Even Zero seemed to be enjoying himself.

Why am I enjoying myself when the person I hate is performing on my stage next to me?

Zero wondered as he played. Why does he look so damn happy? Doesn't he hate me too?

Kaname smiled as he performed. There's nothing better than performing with the instrument you hold so dear and with the one person you find yourself longing for. I hope my feelings as well as my cello can find my way into his closed off heart.

Kaname looked over to Zero and saw Zero staring back at him looking confused. He gave the silverette a smile and was surprised to see that the favor was returned.

Maybe we can get along after all… The two thought.

As the song came to a close a thunderous applause came from the audience. It was a hit! The chemistry between the two musicians and the way they both played their instruments was just uncomparable to performances of past year. The two gentlemen bowed towards their audience with smiles on their faces.

"You know what Kuran? Maybe you're not the bastard I thought you were."

Kaname gasped in shock. "Are you trying to tell me that THE Zero Kiryuu is giving me a compliment?"

Zero chuckled. "Shut up Kuran. I said maybe."

After the performance an ecstatic headmaster and his pouty looking daughter came to greet the two performers.

"You guys did great!" Headmaster Cross beamed," I knew it was a good idea to choose you two! I'm thinking that we're going to have you guys compete in competitions across the country soon so the name of Cross Academy may be known to the whole country! Maybe even the whole world!"

Yuuki's face was one of pain as the two performers agreed and said they did not mind at all.

"No…" Yuuki whispered.

"What was that Yuuki?" Kaname asked. Yuuki looked at Kaname with tears in her eyes.

"Please don't leave me Kaname-sama." Kaname chuckled and ruffled her hair.

"I won't be gone long and besides the competitive season doesn't even start until after this semester. So I won't be leaving quite just yet."

Zero looked as the two interacted with each other and he felt a slight pain in his chest. What was that? Zero looked at the two in confusion. What was this weird feeling he had in his chest. It was making him feel uncomfortable.

"Uhm.. I'm gonna head back to my dorm." Zero said quickly.

"Let me walk you bac-," And before Kaname could even finish his sentence Zero had already bolted down the hallway. Yuuki smiled as she saw Zero run.

That's right Zero. If I can't have him then you can't have him either.

"I wonder what's wrong with Zero," Kaname wondered.

"He probably has a lot of homework," Yuuki said sweetly," Zero's always ditching class haha. You know him."

"Well, I still think I should at least thank him for performing with me." Yuuki panicked as Kaname started moving towards the exit. There were two options right now. 1) Confess her love to Kaname which he probably wouldn't accept. He had a whole fanclub at school dedicated to him and he had already rejected her once. 2) Find some way to keep him at bay. Maybe accidentally trip? Bingo. We got a solution.

"Wait Kaname-sama!" Kaname turned around in time just to see Yuuki trip. And he quickly rushed to comfort her as she held her ankle, seemingly in pain.

"Don't worry Yuuki. I'll carry you to the nurse's office."

"Thank you Kaname-sama. What would I do without you." Yuuki mentally chuckled. Oh Zero was going to have to work hard if he wanted Kaname for himself. Because right now she was in the lead. Just because he was a pretty boy and could play his stupid violin didn't mean he had won. The war was just getting started and he had only won one of the many battles Yuuki could see coming in the future. Oh yes, things were just starting to get good.

Zero splashed his face with cold water as he looked at his reflection in the puddle of water he had cupped in his hand. What was going on. Maybe he was feeling this pain because of the way Yuuki always clung onto Kaname and he himself maybe had some feelings for Yuuki. She was always so kind to him, always so patient. Zero contemplated on this for a while but finally decided that he needed to get his mind off everything. It was just so frustrating. Feelings, emotions, who had time for those kinds of things. Zero took his violin off the shelf and started walking towards the music building. Music could always take his mind off everything.

Sorry for the long wait guys. I'm a terrible person I'm sorry Dx. Anyways I'm backkk love you all. And I totally forgot what direction I wanted to take this. But I will probably continue it.

Misterioso: Mysterious feelings that Zero has. Also Yuuki has somewhat of a split personality?
