Unless I'm mistaken, I have the first GG/HS crossover! Hooray! And what is it, you ask? A Liz/Simon fic. I'm sorry, but I couldn't help it. Two tech geeks? NOT have a fic? Puh-lease. Enjoy (maybe)!

Oh, they weren't meant to be together. But at the same time, they were.

Her eyes scanned over the screen. It was inexplicable. She hadn't seen something done like this since…well, since she and her roommates had had a little run-in with Cavan. Those nightmares still haunted her. The boy looked across the desk, to where she sat, speechless.

"Do we have a deal?" The voice that came from past the monitor was smooth, unafraid, yet nervous. She'd heard it many times, Jonas had a habit of the tone. Just with more nervousness. She clicked through the programs again. It wasn't possible.

"We…yes. We have a deal. I can contact the CIA, you'll get out. But you're on our side now, whether you like it or not," she said.

"Good. I'll just be on my way, then," Simon said, reaching for the disk. Liz swiped it away quickly.

"Ha. Nice try, genius, but I'm hanging on to this one," she said smirking. She'd never even think of letting those kinds of hacks, codes, plans out of her sight. Simon glared.

"Oh, I think I am." A spit second later, Liz was lying on the ground face-up, frantically trying to slip the disk to safety from her pinned arms. Gallagher had taught her well. Apparently not well enough.

He knew the work was good. He had designed it, it had to be. One high-capacity disk, filled to the brim with hacks and codes to get anywhere you'd want: The White House, CIA, FBI, MI6, the Louvre (he'd actually used it for the destination frequently before that), even the Henley (he still had nightmares about the failed job years ago). He was the best. On the his side, anyway. Kat wouldn't settle for anyone but the best. Apparently, American agencies had the same mindset. The girl in front of him studied the screen with careful eyes, fitting the numbers and letters into organized patterns, drawing routes through the blueprints. But she had another look. Bewilderment. She hadn't ever seen anything like the program before, he knew it. Nobody had. But still, the beautiful girl before him had the skills to sort out the jumbled characters, to figure out what he thought only he could. Simon, whether he liked it or not, knew he wasn't the best. One of them, yes, but not the absolute, doubtless best tech freak out there. There were others. Some of which were incredibly beautiful, skilled, and on the other side of the law.

Sure, they worked for different causes, different people. Liz strived to end crime, Simon was the definition of it. They should've hated each other. But they didn't. So, thanks to him being able to talk her into it, Liz sat at the desk and watched him leave, disk in hand. All either of them could think was, They're just like me. And maybe, just maybe, they were right. Maybe they were meant to be together, regardless of what society's laws said.

Like it? Hate it? Think it's as corny as it is? Because the ending is corny. Oh well. R&R! Peace!
