A/N: I have finally returned. I cannot believe that I have been away from this story this long. I was sure I had updated it before now. So many things have happened in my life during the time I last wrote to now, but I am back and do intend to finish this story. If you read the beginning when it was first written, I applaud you for not giving up. If you are new, I hope you enjoy it and just know I will do everything in my power not to be gone this long from this story.

Rose smiled down at the tiny baby she held in her arms. It had been so long since she had held such a small baby. Not since Jacque had been born, and that had been almost twenty years ago.

When she had first discovered she was pregnant, it had taken her by surprise. After Jacque, she had never expected to have any more children, and especially now, she had figured herself to be too old to have more.

"How are you feeling, love?" she heard a voice ask and smiled up at Jonathan, who was holding the other baby. When she had had twins, it was even more of a surprise.

She felt a lump form in her throat as she watched the love that Jonathan had for his children and not for the first time, felt a pang of sadness that she had never been able to witness Jack having this feeling when Jacque was born.

As I watched her gaze at her babies, I felt a sense of pride, which was odd since they weren't my babies; however, I remembered one of the last things I had said to her, about lots of babies. It also made me happy that she was finally able to be happy and put some of those inner demons to rest.

Annie stood beside me, a smile on her face. I knew she understood my feelings, as I could tell she felt the same.

"Meagan," she whispered, "look at your little brothers."

Anyone else would have thought that she was only bringing undo hurt among us all, but that wasn't the case.

Meagan and Michael were fascinated, and I believe they had gained knowledge beyond their years. They may not have aged, but their minds had grown.

"Any thought as to what their names should be?"

She thought of names that meant something to her. Names of those she wanted to honor.

"Thomas," she whispered. It just seemed right. The one man besides Jack who had believed in her.

Her mind drifted as Jonathan laughed. "We still have another one who is nameless."

"You get to him," she said with a smile. "I don't get to have all the fun."

As Jonathan held the baby, mean and Michael came to his mind. It almost felt wrong to be this happy, but he knew he couldn't grieve forever.

"Edward," he said finally. "A royal sounding name for such a special baby."

Rose arched her eyebrow at him. "Thomas is just as special as well," she said.

"So very true you are, my love," he said.

Somehow I knew that with this new beginning, I would move farther and farther to the back of Rose's mind. She would never forget me, of that I was certain, but I knew that she had finally reached a new point to where she would be able to have the kind of life that she was destined for. Even if I wasn't able to be there and share it with her, at least she was with someone who loved and cherished her, not someone who wanted to crush her spirits.
