"Here, who's that fella with Sarah Jane?" Gita nudged her daughter, nodding outside the shop window. Sure enough, Sarah Jane was walking along with a young man - was he wearing a bowtie?

"I dunno…" Rani shrugged. "Nephew? Distant cousin?"

"Has she ever mentioned any family?"

"Other than Luke? No, but…" She was interrupted by a loud gasp from her mother.

"He can't be! No, he's so… not that that ever matters…"

"Mum, what are you talking about?"

"He's her boyfriend!" Rani blinked.

"Pardon?"

"Just look at them! Look! He just held her hand!"

"That doesn't mean anything - they could just be good friends!"

"I've never seen him around here before."

"Good friends that live far apart?" As they watched, the man put an arm around Sarah Jane's shoulders and whispered something to her. She gave him one of her looks though it didn't seem to bother him, as a moment later he spun her around so she was facing him properly and kissed her.

"See! I told you!" Gita practically squealed. Rani stared, mouth hanging open slightly, as the man looked straight at her and winked, pulled something long and silver out of his pocket and twirled it between his fingers with a rather smug looking grin.
