I know I should be working on translating Arranged Marriage. But I feel I doing a lousy job with it. Anyway I wasn't reading a Drama fic when this popped. I really wasn't: I opened the page and started daydreaming even before I read the first word. Anyway, here you are. Like always nothing belongs to me… I wish though ^^
A memory to heaven
"Minerva, May I come in ?"
Professor McGonagall opened her door. It was the first time the headmaster called her instead of opening the door himself.
"Of course."
She allowed him in and watched as he closed tightly the door and silenced it.
"I'm here to ask two things of you. And he second will be highly inappropriate."
She frowned and said softly.
"Then begin with the first one."
He nodded.
"I'm taking Harry away on a… mission for the order"
He raised his hand as she was about to speak.
"I know you think he's too young but I need him there. And I need you here" he add as she opened her mouth once again.
She closed it accepting his choice without liking them.
"You will have to patrol in the corridor. Voldemort may try something tonight. He will know I'm away."
She had winced at the name but she kept a professional face.
"Of course I will, Albus."
He nodded than looked a bit uneasy. He reached to take her hands.
"Now to the other thing…"
She looked at their joined hands then back at his face.
"Would you kiss me if I asked you to?"
She gasped; he was averting her gaze.
"Would you play rank in order for me to do that?"
He frowned and looked back to her eyes.
"Never."
She had a tiny ghost of a smile.
"Then you don't have to ask."
She released one of his hands and cupped his cheek. She watched as he closed his eyes and moved her face closer. Her lips lingered a bit above his then pushed against his. The beard's and moustache's hairs tickled her lips and his were dry. Yet she opened her mouth a bit to renew the kiss, their lips moving quietly against each others. She pulled back a bit later.
"Anything else you need?"
He shocked his head.
"Why did you do that?"
She shrugged.
"You would never have asked if it wasn't utterly important for you."
He accepted his answer and began to take his leave. Just before he opened the door she called his name. He turned back to her.
"What are you doing to do with my kiss?"
"It's the only memory I'll bring with me."
"Where to?"
"Heaven"
She nodded in acceptance and he left. Hours later, as she watch his body on the floor her lips where still tinkling.
