"You know," Katara said, "when I was little, Sokka and I used to have a contest."
"What kind of contest?" Aang asked. Katara stood up and did a little spinning dance, arms spread out at her sides.
"To see who could catch the most snowflakes on their tongue in one minute," she said.
"That sounds fun," Aang laughed. "Who usually won, you or him?"
"Oh, I did, of course." Katara giggled, falling onto her back beside him in the soft snowbank. She stood up a moment later, shaking herself off. "Or we forgot to count and called it a draw."
"Poor Sokka." Aang pushed up the sleeves of his borrowed parka. Katara shrugged.
"Don't feel too bad for him, he usually came close," she said. "Anyway...I challenge you, Aang! Think you can catch more snowflakes than a champion?"
Aang grinned.
"I'm always up for a challenge," he said.
"Good! On your mark, get set...go!" Katara ran off, giggling, and Aang did his best to keep up with her. It was a close race, but in the end Aang won. Panting, they collapsed in the snowbank again.
"So, I guess this makes you the new champion," Katara said, and pressed her lips softly to his. Aang blushed.
"What was that for?"
"Your prize, of course," Katara said, and Aang grinned again.
"In that case, I think the runner-up should get a prize too," he said, and leaned forward to kiss her back.
