Ok, so I have realised that I never seem to be able to update any stories and that they turned to nonsense and have no actual storyline. So this is why I decided to try and write a good one. If you like, please review because then I'd like to know if I can continue it. Thanks x

P.S. The story is set about Series 5 Ep2 and is about Rachel and Max. Hope you enjoy!

An orchestra of teenager's voices filled the air as Rachel Mason stepped out of her blue car.

It was a Tuesday, but it felt like a blur.

The day before, the executive head, Max Tyler, had annoyed her, counter-manded her authority and hogged her office so much that she felt as though she couldn't take another day of it.

She told herself

'Stay calm, if he sees you like this he'll have won. Just get on with it and play it by the book,'

As she walked down the paved ground to the entrance of the school, another car pulled up in front.

A man with dark hair wearing a smart suit climbed out with his briefcase.

'Hello Rachel, good day isn't it?' he said.

'Hi Max, yeah, it's alright,'

'I certainly hope that today will go better than yesterday and that you'll handle it better,' he said, the irony showed in his voice.

'He's just trying to wind you up, just ignore it,' she thought to herself as the pair walked up the green tinted stairs and into the building.

As they clambered up the stairs to the office, another man with curled brown hair came from down the corridor.

'Ah, Rachel, just the woman. Here are those evaluations from yesterday that you

wanted.' He said, handing her the massive pile of paper he had been carrying from the

staffroom just down the passageway.

'I'm sure I could have handled that, Chris,' Max said, the anger not showing in his deep voice.

'Well…' he said, faltering for a moment. 'Rachel did consult me that she needed to go over them,' he finally answered.

'Very well. But just make sure that you do confer with me if you decide to do anything,' Max articulated.

Chris nodded and headed down the stairs to his next Science class.

'You don't need to know everything that happens in the school,' Rachel pointed out as they sauntered inside the purple office.

'Well, I like to know that there are no problems, after all, I am the exec head,' he replied.

'So… what am I then?' she asked, part angrily.

'Sorry, I always like to know everything that happens, I'm sure you do in addition,' he apologised, hesitantly.

'Right,' she said, walking over to her desk and putting her files down.

'And I'm sorry about yesterday. I know you must have felt like I'd turned my back on you,' he added.

'You tell me,' she smiled.

'I was hoping we could start again. And I promise, I won't exclude you out of anything,'

'Well, to be honest, you did handle the fights pretty well. As long as both of us are managing the school, then that's fair,'

They both smiled and Max made his way for the door.

However, he stopped and looked back at Rachel.

'One more thing,'

'What?' she asked, her glittering eyes meeting his.

'Have a drink with me tonight, so we can settle the matter properly,'

She thought for a moment. She wanted to say no, but instead she said

'Yes,'

'Great, see you later,' he beamed and walked out with a superior grin on his face.

As soon as he had left, Rachel sighed.

'What the hell have you done, Rachel?' she asked herself.
