Disclaimer: Boooo

Spoilers: Union Station.

A/N: The train station in Phoenix is also called Union Station. Go figure. This is super-de-duper short, but I think it says enough. I freaking love Marsan.

The dry, warm air hit her as soon as she stepped off the train, and she closed her eyes, letting it invade her cold body. She stretched and glanced around, looking for the place where she could get her luggage. Shrugging her shoulders, she followed the throngs of people that were heading to the left. It was crowded and hot and sticky, but she didn't feel overwhelmed. Instead she felt very much at peace.

Well, at peace except for the little nugget of regret sitting deep in her stomach. Mark was right. He was right, and she could have stayed, but for some reason, when she looked into his eyes, despite feeling like she was home, she also knew that she needed to go. Maybe someday she would go back, but for now, she needed to be gone.

After several minutes she gathered her bags and headed outside where she was going to meet Chloe and Suzie. It had only been a few weeks since she had seen them, but she was still excited. Now that Chloe's life was stable, they got along so much better. They had a real, functioning sister relationship. She loved seeing Chloe happy, and knowing that the happiness was not caused by a good score. She loved knowing that Chloe could be fine on her own, but at the end of the day, she had Joe to hold her hand and support her. She love knowing that Suzie was growing up well now, in a home where she was loved. Everything was so much better now.

She sighed as she looked around. She was sure Chloe would be here. The train had actually arrived a few minutes early, but she had assumed Chloe would be on time. She sighed and headed back in to where she had seen a pay phone. Maybe they were just a little late. She set her bags down on the ground and reached into her pocket for change when she heard her name being called. She turned towards the sound and her heart leapt into her throat before she ran towards him.

"Mark," she breathed as his arms wrapped around her and he lifted her off the ground. "What are you doing here?"

"What do you think I'm doing here, Susan?"

"But how did you…?"

"It's called a plane."

"But why?"

"Because. We didn't talk about anything."

"You mean the kiss?"

"No. I mean us. How we're going to stay in each other's lives. Do we call? Do we write? Our shorthand does not work long distance."

"I know."

"I just felt like we needed to talk about that. Besides, the thought of you moving into a new place without your best friend to help you made me just a little sad."

She grinned.

"How long are you here?"

"Just a few days. Doug and Kerri are covering my shifts."

"Kerri?"

"I'm not even going to comment."

She laughed as he picked up her bags and slid his free hand into hers.

"Thank you for coming out here, Mutt."

"Anytime, Jeff."
