Consequences of Annoying Vampires (Vampire Knight - Aidou/Zero, PG13)

"AH! This is too sweet."

Zero isn't surprised by the wailing cry that flies through the room. The blonde vampire has been complaining and whining like a baby since he came in. Zero had thought of leaving when Aidou came strolling in, but decided he was here first and this is where he wanted to stay.

"If you don't like it, don't eat it." Zero grumbled, eying the other vampire before going back to his interesting book. He hoped Aidou would slide the plate away and simply become too bored with his company that he'd leave and Zero could go back to the silence of peace.

Unfortunately, Aidou didn't leave. He sighed instead, getting up from the table and walking over right behind Zero. Zero didn't like that one bit. He hated anyone who got behind him, especially when the said person was so fond of his enemy Kaname. But he remained calm and continued reading.

Aidou leaned down till his chin nearly touched the top of Zero's head and asked cheerfully, "What are you reading, Zero-kun?"

Zero cringed at the nickname (he was never really fond of them) and snapped his book closed from Aidou's prying eyes. "None of your business." He was about to get up and leave when Aidou very quickly yanked the book from his hand and tossed the weather worn book from hand to hand.

Zero's nerves shot through the roof. He was incredibly pissed and allowed some of his own vampiric powers to leak out to show it. "Give it back!" He demanded to empty hears. Aidou stuck out his tongue and Zero gasped incredulously.

The next few moments happened so fast for either vampire to comprehend how it all began. It went something like Zero launching at Aidou with inhuman speed and the two vampires falling to the carpeted floor, struggling for the book. It was really stupid to be fighting over a book, Zero knew this, but he just couldn't stand Aidou's carefree attitude about his privacy.

They finally stopped when the book flew out of Aidou's hand and Zero gasped lightly at the realization of how close he'd gotten to Aidou and how his thigh had been brushing against Aidou's hip. He blushed furiously, yelling, "G-Get off me."

They moved away from one another, Zero turning his back trying to calm his rapid heartbeats, while Aidou began fixing his tie and clothes, sporting his own red cheeks. He didn't tell Zero during, but as they were struggling he had realized Zero's thighs and other parts rubbing against him. Normally he would have been disgusted, but it didn't feel that bad.

Smiling to himself he noticed the book - the reason for the tussle - and stretched to pick it up. He almost burst into laughter when he read the cover title: "Love on Fire Mountain".

"Zero... you read romance novels?"

Zero stiffened and turned around to glare dangerously at the blonde.
