"Itachi-san…" the young teen looked over to his partner and raised an eyebrow. Kisame didn't expect a verbal reply, so he went on. "Itachi-san, you want Sasuke to kill you, don't you?" the Uchiha boy stared at him with dead, charcoal eyes for a moment, and then they closed slowly. He exhaled quietly and folded his hands in his lap.

"Yes…" he said gently. Kisame was silent for a moment, then he sighed a little and moved from the wall, sitting next to the genius.

"You didn't want to do it, did you?" the older man asked quietly, keeping his eyes forward. Itachi shifted uncomfortably next to him. He slowly slipped off his shoes, as if he was contemplating his answer, and stared at his toes for a moment.

"No," he replied hoarsely. Kisame looked over to him and saw his eyes had bled red and they were full of hurt. The blue-skinned man frowned and wrapped his arm around the genius's shoulder, making the boy lean on him. The raven went stiff as a board, but Kisame didn't let go. He was not afraid of this tormented little boy.

"You can cry, Itachi-san. I'm the only one here," he said gently, tightening his grip on the boy's shoulder slightly. Itachi inclined his head a little to look at him incredulously. His eyes softened a little and they slowly shifted back to the dead charcoal. He lowered his head as his shoulders started to shake and tears began to roll down his cheeks.

"Sasuke…my precious little brother…" Kisame smiled sadly and stroked the younger shinobi's hair. It was nice to see some emotion coming from Itachi once in a while. He just wished it wasn't sadness.

A/N: Now this is what I'm used to writing. Too bad I hate Naruto…kinda. I believe that Itachi has a softer side, so…here we go! Oh…and…uh…Kisame is a big teddy bear.
