Ok . . . So I got really bored today. I mean, REALLY BORED, and I was reading fan fiction (Not that that's boring lol. Found some really good ones xD) And I decided I was gonna write this. Eh. R&R. This is MY RANDOM THOUGHTS lol. End of Shadow Kiss. Right after the battle. Lissa's POV

Three more months left of school and this has to happen? I was sitting with Christian outside the Dhampire dorms waiting to hear from Rose. She hadn't come out of her room since the attack and wouldn't let anyone in. Kirova, Alberta, and even Guardian Hathaway tried to get Rose to come out, but she refused.

Leaning against Christian's chest, I bent my head back and closed my eyes. Talk to me. I sent the plea out hoping Rose would hear. After three minutes of silence, I sighed.

Christian wrapped his arms tighter around me. "Rose'll be fine. Just give her time."

"But I don't understand. I mean, I understand that it wasn't pretty, that people died, but no one else is this messed up. People lost loved ones and their grief isn't as strong." He tucked a strand of my hair behind my ear.

"I know, and I don't understand either, but she handles grief differently than many people. Hell, she saw ghosts after Mason died." He joked, trying to get me to smile.

It didn't work.

"You know that wasn't what happened."

We were silent for a bit, looking up at the moon. Suddenly a thought occurred to me.

"Rose did lose someone. Guardian Belikov" I whispered.

"Her mentor." Christian scoffed.

"They were friends too." I protested, sitting up and looking at him.

"Yea, and?"

"Wouldn't you feel upset if you lost a friend?"

"Probably, but I don't have that problem. I have you, your psychotic friend, and her stalker. The only person that I'd be sad to lose would be you."

I punched his arm and smiled a little. "You like Rose. I know you do. And as for Adrian, well yea, sometimes he's a pain, but he's helping me."

"Which is the only reason he's allowed around you."

My heart leapt. "Allowed?"

He grinned at me but didn't say anything. I sighed and leaned back against him.

At that moment the door to the Dhampire dorms opened, and out came Eddie. I sprang up and ran over to him.

"Any change? Is she coming out? Is she talking? Is she okay?" I asked really fast, almost tackling him.

Eddie smiled at me, but shook his head. "Hey Lissa." He said.

Christian got up and walked over to me. He took my hand and leaned against the side of the building. Eddie looked at him before speaking.

"She opened her door and came down. She's sitting in one of the empty lounges. She doesn't look good. Looks almost like someone sucked all the moisture out of her body. Her voice is scratchy and I think it's safe to say that it would be impossible for her to cry. You might want to give her some water. She told me to come and get you. I'm worried."

Hope shot through me as I nodded at what Eddie was telling me. I turned to kiss Christian and left them both.

Walking into the building I immediately knew where to go. Walking down the stairs to the lower lounge, I heard sobs. So Eddie was wrong. Apparently she can cry.

"Rose?" I asked hesitantly, walking over to the couch she was curled up on. Her sobs shook her and I laid down along side her and wrapped my arms around her.

"Shhhhhhh . . . It's okay." I murmured to her, rubbing her back.

Eventually she calmed down enough for me to ask her.

"Rose, what's wrong?"

She looked up at me for the first time, and blinked. "He's gone . . . "

Guardian Belikov. So I was right, point for me. But still . . . Why is she this upset?

"There's no point anymore. Nothing to look forward to. I have to go."

What? I continued to rub her back.

"I have to find him." She rambled. "I owe him this. I promised I would. I have to st-stop him."

She started sobbing again and I held her closer.

This made no sense! Why was she leaving?

And then it hit me.
