Hush Little Panny

I do not own DBZ

Hi peoples! I have a new story. It's VERY sad. It has Gohan and baby Pan. Please read. I can't say too much or I'll give the story away.

"Waa! Waa!" came a baby's cry from down the hall.

"Oh dear. She's up again," muttered Gohan as he jumped out of bed and walked to Pan's room.

He walked in and over to Pan's crib. "It's okay, Pan. Daddy's here." He picked her up and began to sing the only song that would calm her down.

"Hush little Panny. Don't say a word. Daddy's gonna find you a dragonball. And if that dragonball don't shine, daddy's gonna find you another one."

Pan's cry came down to a whimper. "Thatta girl," whispered Gohan.

Pan looked up at her daddy. She was only six months old, but very smart. "Ma-ma," she cooed and pointed at a picture of Videl.

"I know you miss your mother. I miss her too," whispered Gohan as tears began to well up in his eyes. He walked over to the rocking chair with Pan still in his arms and sat down.

It had only been three months since Videl had died. She had died in a horrendous car crash. The investigators said that it wasn't her fault. A crazy drunken driver was driving in the wrong lane and crashed into her head on. She died instantly.

Gohan remembered when he had first found out. He had been on his way to the baby sitter's house to pick up Pan when he got a call on his cell phone. It was ChiChi. Gohan could barely make out what she was saying through her loud sobs. Finally, he understood. Videl was dead. Killed by a crazy drunk driver. It was lucky that Gohan wasn't driving at that time or he would have crashed his car, too.

He sat down on a nearby bench and began to cry. People stared at him, but didn't stop to ask the reason why he was crying.

Finally, Gohan made it to the baby sitter's. She told him that she would have to charge him extra for being late, but then he explained why he was late. She apologized and said that the day was free. Gohan took Pan, said thank you, and left.

The funeral was a week later. Pan didn't know what was going on. Even at two months, she knew only one word: ma-ma. All through the funeral, she called out for her mother. Gohan couldn't quiet her down. He knew that deep down inside her, she knew something was wrong. Terribly wrong.

That was three months ago. Gohan's heart still ached for his lover. She had always understood him even if she didn't show it. Gohan began rocking back and froth. The rocking motion seemed to make Pan sleepy. Her eyes began to close slowly.

When Pan was fast asleep, Gohan got up and laid her back down into her crib. He covered her up. Then he wound up her dragonball mobile (made by Bulma of course). Soft lullaby music began drifting throughout the room. Gohan took one last look at his sleeping daughter. He then walked out of her room and slowly closed the door.

I know most of you are near tears right about now. I was when I was writing this story. I hated having to kill Videl( she's my fav char.), but I had to to make this story work. I made a few of my friends depressed too when they read this. Please review now that you've read this. I would like to know what you think. Please?
