Their next encounter didn't turn out at all like he'd expected.

Not that he'd spent a good portion of the night contemplating every possible outcome.

Definitely not.

To his surprise, she wasn't a blushing, flustering mess, stumbling over her words.

If anything, she actually seemed less awkward than usual – in fact, she only fell down twice all day – a new record.

Why did that only make him want to try harder next time?
