I realized I've been neglecting SMacked fluff, so here's a little impromptu fic.

For lily moonlight and oneturtledove who each inspired pieces of this.

Stella loved lazy evenings, and the fact that they came so infrequently made her love this one even more. That, and the flannel pajama pants two sizes too big along with one of Mac's old t-shirts. Most importantly, though, Stella loved lazy evenings with her t-shirt's previous owner. The popcorn bowl empty and the movie long-finished, the two lounged on the sofa, neither wanting to move.

"Worst job?" Mac said randomly.

Stella smiled, not because of the question, but because of the game itself. It wasn't a game brought on by boredom, but rather intrigue and inquiry; their own special game of deepening their knowledge of each other and strengthening their relationship.

"Cleaning bathrooms at the orphanage. I didn't even get paid for it."

"Which is why I clean the bathroom here?" he asked lightly.

"Mmm, yes," she sighed happily. "You're so good to me." She stayed in the moment a few seconds, then continued with the game. "Superpower?"

"Time travel."

Stella cocked her head and looked at him. "Really?"

"Yeah, you know, travel back in time to, I don't know, the Old West. Maybe glimpse into the future, see what Lucy's doing…"

"You never cease to amaze me, Mac Taylor. Your turn."

"Uh, okay. Star Wars character?"

"Yoda."

"Not Princess Leia?" Mac asked, hopeful that she would change her answer.

Stella laughed. "You're only saying that because you'd like to see me in the belly dancing costume."

"I wouldn't dislike it," Mac admitted. "So, why Yoda?"

"Full of endless wisdom, Yoda is," Stella deadpanned.

Mac, however, was unable to keep a straight face. "You do that entirely too well."

"I don't even have to try; I'm just that good," she finally grinned. "Favorite singer?"

"Dead or alive?"

"Either."

"I like jazz musicians, but I think I'm going to go with Frank Sinatra."

"Big surprise, Chicago Boy," Stella said as she rolled her eyes, knowing about the numerous Frank Sinatra CDs in Mac's music collection.

"Hey, if you already know the answer, don't ask the question," Mac said jokingly, pulling her legs into his lap. "Cannoli or Baklava?"

She quirked an eyebrow at him. "What were you saying about not asking the question if you already know the answer?"

"I was just checking to see if you were paying attention."

"Yeah, right. Cannoli, no contest. Best moment of your life?"

"Right here. Right now. Because I'm with you," he said sincerely.

"That was really cheesy," Stella said, feeling her face flush anyway.

"But entirely true," Mac replied with a grin. "Boxers or briefs?"

Stella smirked and shifted, intentionally rubbing her leg against him. "On you? Neither."

"I was hoping you'd say that," he chuckled as he slid one arm under her legs and the other behind her back and easily pulled her into his lap.

Her arms went around his neck, and she pressed her lips to his in a long, sensual kiss.

"I was wrong," he murmured as he kissed his way down the smooth column of her throat.

"Mmm, about what?"

"This is the best moment of my life."

She pulled back, immediately missing the feel of his lips against her skin, and gazed into his eyes. "Wanna bet?" she challenged.

A low rumble of desire emanated from him, and he equaled her fiery gaze. "This is one bet I'm so ready to lose…"
