Notes: As people have commented on the whole alcohol comment back in the beginning of the story this is an explanation. The whole no alcohol comment came from both research, and also having vegan friends that could answer any questions that needed asked. All of them said no alcohol, though I do know of vegans that do drink. However, for James, the whole alcohol thing comes as, he won't drink it as he doesn't want to take that particular risk. He just lumps it in if people ask him what vegan is so that he doesn't have to explain that part as separate.

Chapter 59: Weekend's End

James sighed as he walked into his assigned rooms. Minus the two incidences at the zoo, James didn't want his weekend to end. He had been getting awfully tired of all of the things that had happened while he was at Hogwarts. Those problems reminded him of why he had left in the first place. He thought of possibly leaving again, but knew that getting away would be harder this time.

He looked around the room and sighed yet again. The room was warm and it looked as if the elves had cleaned it while he was gone. He shook his head and closed his eyes. "I wish that they would stay out of my rooms. I don't want them to clean things up. They always move things where I don't want them." He went over to a stack of papers that were on a table. He then began to organize the papers that the elves had combined into one stack. He had wanted them to stay the way that they had been. "I should have brought all of this work with me. Then it would still be stacked like I wanted it to be." He read the header on each paper and placed it on the table in a specific order.

A knock on his door drew him away from his task. Walking over to the door, he opened it. On the other side of the door was Severus. He frowned and blinked. He went to say something, but the man's scowl stopped him. Severus glared at him. "Well, are you going to let me in or make me stand here?" James continued to stare as he considered the question. He knew that he didn't mind leaving the man in the hallway. Yet, he knew that he couldn't. He then stepped aside and let Severus in. The man walked into the rooms.

Closing the door, James looked at Severus. "What brings you here?" He walked back over to the table and returned to sorting the stack. He wasn't about to give up his task to entertain Severus. He waited for the man to say something, but no sound came from him. James sighed and turned his head in Severus' direction. The man was standing there. James frowned. "Are you going to stand there and stare at me all night? If not, then tell me why you came here." He then raised an eyebrow.

Severus scowled again. "I came to inform you that the headmaster has heard of your…Trip this weekend. It appears as if Mrs. Weasley felt compelled to tell him about what you went and did." It was James' turn to scowl. He wasn't sure why the woman would tell the headmaster something like that. As far as he was concerned, it really wasn't the headmaster's business what he did. He looked back at his papers and continued to sort them.

James sighed and decided that it was best to not say anything. As much as he didn't like it, the information didn't surprise him. He had always known that Hermione was someone that defaulted to authority figures, though she had appeared as if she had stopped doing so at one point.

Severus cleared his throat. "You have nothing to say to that?" James frowned at the sound in Severus' voice. He could only describe the tone as Severus feeling miffed. That confused him. This was because he hadn't thought that the man would find his lack of response to be confusing. He set the last of his stack down and stood up. He turned towards Severus to see the man staring at him.

James then sighed and shook his head. "It's rather simple. It's not surprising that she did that. She has always looked to authority figures. It doesn't matter if she acted as if they were unimportant at one point. Her natural tendency is to listen to them. Plus, in her mind, the headmaster is the ultimate authority figure." He watched Severus.

Severus nodded after a bit. "I can see that. However, She needs to get over that." The man then turned away from James. "Now, I need to go and do my own work." He then walked towards the door, opened it, and left. James shook his head. He then went back to sorting his papers. After all, he found organizing to be one of the most relaxing things that he could do.

A/N: Well, James' weekend is over. Hope that you all enjoyed. Later.
