Curious Ones (CH 3)
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
"Alright, girl. They say that we're roommates this year. Sucks for you, Zelda. Looks like you're stuck with Nana the whole year this time." Smirking as she felt Zelda's jealously burning behind her, Samus opened the door to her room.
"Do they not put it into consideration that I'm many years older than her?" Zelda rolled her eyes as she helped Peach pull up her suitcases into room 304. "Have they also forgotten that I have a boyfriend?"
Peach chuckled to hearing the word, "boyfriend," coming out of Zelda's mouth. It's been three years since Zelda and Link have been going out and everyone is expecting them to end up marrying within the next two years or so. Peach sighed. How long has it been since I've been in a relationship? Three years? Four years? No, it must have been five years if I'm already twenty-one. I was only seventeen… and I can't believe Har— no, that guy took advantage of me. I was a minor and still, he wouldn't stop even when I said no. Images flashed across and flooded Peach's mind and suddenly she couldn't breathe and had no strength in her knees. Before she knew it, Samus had caught hold of her and gently brought Peach to the bed. Samus looked at Zelda and Zelda nodded.
"Peachie, dear, it seems that you are exhausted from coming from your homeland. Take a rest. If you'd like, I can use my healing powers to help you fall asleep. And we'll wake you up when the party is about to start." Zelda and Samus knew exactly why Peach lost her strength and knew not to talk about it until she felt better.
"Please and thank you, Zelda, but please do not come to wake me. I think I'd like to take my nap to the fullest." Peach smiled weakly as Samus covered Peach with her blanket.
"Okay, if you need us, we're one call away." The two friends headed for the door and shut off the light. Peach's eyes grew weary and she fell into a deep sleep.

Peach opened her eyes and squinted as the moonlight shone brightly into her room. There was no pain in her head or chest. All was well. "9:53pm?! How long was I asleep for? Oh, I don't want to miss the party." Peach quickly turned on the lamp, unpacked her clothes from her suitcase, and rummaged for her evening dress she had prepared to wear for the event. As she undressed and unzipped her jeans, she looked in the mirror and grimaced. "Oh no, the make up that Daisy did is all messed up. Worse yet, it's all over Samus' pillow. I will clean it when I get back." Peach quickly sat down to reapply make up but stopped to realize that the make up on the table weren't hers but Samus'. When did Samus start putting on make up? Have I missed out on something the past year I haven't been here? Peach waved her thoughts away and kept the time on her mind instead.
Peach shut the door behind her. She paced her way through the hallway, blushing with embarrassment because it has been awhile since she's made herself look dolled up. As she was about to turn the corner, she noticed through the window how bright the moonlight was and gazed upon its beauty. She found herself walking out to the balcony where there was a full view of the moon.
Moments later, the silence was disrupted by some laughter in the distance. Zelda? Could she be nearby? I need to talk to her. She walked towards the sound to find a couple in a very intimate moment. The female was a maid, just by the looks of her clothing and the male—she could not make out who it was. The male's hands were sliding up and down the female's waist and his face smothered in her neck. Just as Peach turned away in disgust, there was a sound of a branch cracking under her feet. Oh my goodness! This is bad! Peach quickly hid behind the trees where it was dark and shut her eyes and held her breath, hoping that the couple would leave and do their business elsewhere.
"Well, what do we have here?" Peach looked up to see a dark figure before her. She squealed and turned to run away, when he grabbed her wrist. "Excuse me, my lady. But I don't think I have allowed you to just leave after you've just—"
"I am sorry, very very sorry! I did not know that you and your girlfriend were—"
"Hey. Look at me." Peach did not dare to look up. She didn't know who he was and didn't want to know either. I can't believe this is happening to me. Just kill me now. "My lady, please look at me." The male's voice seemed a bit softer. Peach hesitated for a moment and then slowly looked up to see the man. Peach gasped and quickly looked down again. The man was certainly very handsome and had piercing blue eyes that were visible even in the dark night. The man put his hand gently under her chin and raised her head up so that they would be looking at each other, eye to eye. "Please don't be scared. I will be gentle so don't look away from me."
"If you will excuse me, I need to go—" Peach stammered as she averted her gaze from the male.
"Sorry, but I can't let you leave after you snuck up on me like that." The man leaned over to look at her face.
"I think I have already said that I was sorry and that I didn't know that you and your girlfriend were here." Peach cheeks burned as she remembered what has just happened.
"My girlfriend?" The male with blue eyes scoffed and smirked down at her. "Now what makes you think that maid girl was my girlfriend?" Peach cheeks felt hotter. Is he mocking me? I was sincerely apologizing. "She's my playmate. Haven't you heard of it before? Ah, looks like you're too naïve to know that."
Peach grew more and more frustrated with the man and knew she had to control her anger, or else she would lose her cool. "Well, excuse me. If you were doing your business somewhere else then we wouldn't even be here right now."
"Me?" Peach saw the man's eyes flash. "Blaming me now, are we? That girl approached me. I just accepted what she had to offer, like a gentleman." He looked away but Peach was still able to see his eyes. It seems as if I offended him a bit.
"I apologize again for offending you. I will discontinue this argument by leaving it here." Peach couldn't wait to leave the presence of this man. She felt uncomfortable and wanted to be with her friends.
"Oh, no. It didn't offend me." The man took her by the waist and leaned towards her. Peach stood in shock as she felt the male's breath against her neck. Something had made her wince as she felt chills down her spine.
"What are you doing?!" Frightened, Peach couldn't move, she felt stiff and unable to move any muscle. The male brushed his hands against her cheek and smirked at her.
"What are YOU doing? Looks like you've enjoyed it enough to not let go." Peach looked down to see that she was grabbing onto his hand. Flustered, she quickly let go and gave out a little cry. With blurred vision, she ran away as fast as she could from the man but could still hear that faint laughter behind her.
The man snickered as he saw Peach run away from him. "Hm, pretty sweet."
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
I didn't even realize what was happening or coming! Tears roll down her cheeks. As soon as she was few doors away from her room, she stopped and froze. How in the world did he come at me so fast? One second, he was talking and then the next, he, my neck… he licked me. Peach shuddered at the thought of it and tried to wipe her neck with her dress. It's no use. I'm going to wash up.
Just as Peach came to her door, Samus came out, "Peach, where were you? Zelda and I came to look for you when someone said that they saw you come out of the room." Peach knew Samus was worried for her.
"I-I'm going to wash up. I don't think it's a good idea to go see everyone right now." Walking past Samus, her friend followed her back in and watched as she sat down on her bed.
"Is something wrong? Peach, I want you to know that you can talk to me and all I want is for you to feel comfortable and okay." There was a bit of silence. Peached shuffled herself on the bed.
"I don't want to tell you right now. Please, I need to process by myself first." Peach saw that Samus really wanted to help her friend. Peach sighed. "I know that everyone's been wanting to see me and I really want to too. Can you give me a moment?"
Samus nodded.
Peach stood up and went to the restroom. She went towards the sink and scrubbed herself of where the man had beset himself. I need to get rid of his infestation on me. No trace. No mark. I am never going to let that man near me. Never. Peach leaned over her sink and looked at her reflection. Peach Toadstool. You are a strong woman. You are the princess of the Mushroom Kingdom and nothing will overcome you. Be bold and courageous. Peach flew the restroom door open and Samus saw Peach's eyes blazing. Peach went to reapply make up once again.
"Samus, let's go." Samus was surprised to see how quickly Peach changed after coming out of the restroom. Before she could say anything else, Peach firmly gripped her hand and walked out of the room.
"Peach, are you sure? You—" Peach stopped and turned towards her friend and nodded with a smile.
"I'm okay. I realized that I couldn't keep everyone waiting any longer because of me. Just please stand next to me and I will do my best." Samus sighed with a smile because she knew that Peach was very assuring and that she would tell her everything when she could.
