Summary: I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. He was sorry. What was he sorry for? He made the contrast, he made the alive feeling and he was sorry.
Warnings: AUish... slightly...? Slash if you squint.
A: N- I wrote it for English (along with Faded and Different). I hope you enjoy it. A look into what Draco was thinking in the bathroom scene.
Deep throated fear. That feeling Draco never thought he'd be able to forget. No, he would never be able to forget it now that it had hit him. He had felt it many times before, almost as many times as he had felt betrayal. As he gazed into the mirror and listed to Myrtle go on and on about how his life couldn't be possibly worse than hers, he couldn't help but notice how his eyes weren't happy. The pure and raw happiness never showed up in his crystal blue gray eyes anymore. Not ever since he had this mission to complete. He had to do it all for his father, his father who had made the worst mistake of his life. He used to love coming to school every year. But as the years when on and on he began to lose more and more interest in showing up every day. Maybe it was the way that he always saw how happy the other students were, maybe it was the way that he would constantly get reminders of who he was supposed to be. He hated it so much, he hated himself so much and he couldn't remember ever feeling that way before. The first two buttons of his white shirt had been hurriedly pulled off so that he could breath again. The shirt, itself, had become horribly wrinkled and un-proper. His legs were covered in dark dress pants and he grabbed the sink in order to steady himself. His eyes left him perfectly exposed, as those five words were stated so plainly, so perfectly. "I know what you did." I know what you did. I know what you did. It was so perfect. So very perfect, and Draco found himself loving every second that he could revert back to his old perfect self. He loved how he finally had someone to become. I know what you did. I know what you did. He was down and bleeding, and crying, and God it felt amazing! He was down and bleeding and crying and for once he felt alive. Draco loved the contrast of red on pale white skin. "I'm sorry, oh, I'm so sorry!" I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. He was sorry. What was he sorry for? He made the contrast, he made the alive feeling and he was sorry. I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry.
