A/n I know it's been forever. Here's an update. Not sure how many more chapters there will be, but we'll see.

"Hey Aaron, can I ask you something?" Emily asked as she and Hotch were snuggled in bed. They had been traveling on a case and finally got back earlier that day. Katie was very happy to see her parents.
"What is it?" he wondered.
"Have you ever thought about having another baby? I mean I know you love Katie like she's your own, but do you want one that is biologically yours?"
"You're absolutely right that I love Katie like she is my biological child, and nothing will ever change. Would I like to have another child that's biologically mine? Yes, but if we don't, that's fine. I'm perfectly content with the two children we already have. Why do you want another baby?" Emily nodded her head as she began biting her nails. Reaching out Hotch took her hand into his to stop her from biting her nails.
"I love Jack and Katie, but I don't feel like our family is complete yet. I'd like to try for one more baby," Emily concluded. Hotch smiled at her words.
"Then we can definitely try for one. What do you say we start now?" he suggested drawing her in for a hungry kiss. Emily laughed at her husband's eagerness.
"Well we can practice but I have to get my IUD removed before we can try to conceive. I was going to call and make an appointment and see when they can get me in."
"That sounds fine to me. Let's practice for now," he said pulling her on top of him and beginning to trail kisses down her neck.

"How'd you get Hotch to give you the morning off?" JJ wondered as they sat in her OBGYN's office.
"I told him that I had an appointment. He did ask if it was the same one you had," Reid reluctantly admitted. JJ smiled, of course Hotch would figure it out.
"Oh, what did you tell him?"
"I told him yes. You know I can't lie," Reid argued. JJ nodded as she leaned in and kissed him on the cheek. Thankfully Garcia and Morgan had kept Morgan overnight last night so she and Reid could go on a date. Garcia and Morgan had moved in with each other a couple months before. JJ suspected he would propose any day now.
"Jenifer Jareau?" called the nurse. Standing she took Reid's hand and headed towards the back where they would hopefully get their first look at their baby.

"If you'll step up here on the scale, we'll get your weight before getting the rest of your vitals. Nodding JJ did as instructed. After all her vitals were taken, they headed into the room. "So, what brings you in today, JJ?" the nurse questioned.
"I took a home pregnancy test and it came back positive. This is Spencer Reid, my boyfriend."
"Okay, how have you been feeling?"
"Okay, I've been pretty tired, and the morning sickness is getting to me at least somewhat but so far it's not been too bad. Thankfully," JJ stated.
"Her appetite has been a bit off lately," Reid interjected.
"That's normal especially in the first trimester," the nurse assured. "Okay, JJ, we need a urine sample and I need to draw some blood. If you can give us the sample, then I'll draw the blood, and have you change into the gown so the doctor can look at things. She will also probably want you to have an ultrasound done today. Do you know about how far along you are?"
"Maybe seven or eight weeks along," JJ answered.
"Okay, then, it will probably be a transvaginal ultrasound, so we'll need you to take off your bottoms and your underwear," the nurse stated. Nodding JJ took the cup to collect the sample. Once she was back the nurse drew the necessary blood before leaving the couple in the room and allowing JJ to change and get settled on the exam table.

A few minutes later the doctor knocked on the door.
"Come in," JJ called out. The door opened and her doctor walked in.
"Hi there, JJ, how are you today?"
"I'm fine Dr. Lucas, how are you and your family?"
"We're all doing great. Who did you bring with you today?"
"I'm Spencer Reid, her boyfriend," Reid introduced himself.
"Nice to meet you."
"Same to you," Reid replied.
"Well you are definitely pregnant, JJ. Judging by your blood work it looks like you're around eight weeks along. I want to do a transvaginal ultrasound then we will do a pelvic exam before sending you on your way. How does that sound?" JJ nodded she remembered the routine from when she was pregnant with Henry.
"Okay then slide down closer to the end of the table and we'll get this started. Doing as she was told JJ got herself situated. The doctor talked her and Spencer through the procedure. She knew that JJ had been through it before but by the look on his face she could tell the young man hadn't.
"Does that hurt?" he asked.
"It doesn't feel comfortable, but it doesn't hurt," JJ assured her anxious boyfriend.
"Everything looks good. Judging by the length of the fetus I'd say you're eight weeks and two days along. Your baby is due January 12. Would you like to hear the heartbeat?" she asked. Both expectant parents nodded. Okay, reaching over the doctor pressed a button and a strong thump-thump filled the room.
"Wow," Spencer breathed. JJ looked up to see tears in his eyes and she smiled as she felt her own tears slide down her face.
"Yes, it's very strong. It's approximately 145 BPM. That's in the normal range. Everything else looks good. Let's finish up with your pelvic and breast exam then we will be done for today unless you have any questions?"
"When will JJ need to be on leave and when will she need to stop traveling with the team?"
"I suggest most moms-to-be go on maternity leave around eight and a half months," the doctor began. JJ groaned in displeasure. "However, if JJ is working from a desk and not in the field she could work until she's nine months. I would suggest she stop field work at six months. She can still travel with the team until she's eight months along. After that you must stay back at Quantico, okay, JJ?" the doctor checked.
"Okay, that works for me," she agreed. They finished the rest of the appointment and when they left, they each had a copy of their babies first picture.
