~ Handing Out Detention ~

"You are sending me where?" Severus didn't bother hide the disbelief in his voice.

"Detention!" Harry beamed.

"Really, Potter. One would think that you had spent enough time in detention that you would have no desire to revisit it."

"But it's a bar. And they have Firewhiskey," he called over his shoulder as he carried their valises towards the check-in counter.

"Hmm," Severus said dubiously as he wandered into the small, dark room adjacent to the lobby.

When Harry entered the bar a short time later, it was empty except for Severus and the man behind the counter. They were glowering at each other.

Seated in the darkest corner of the room, Severus perched on the edge of a oversized wooden chair, his foot tapping the floor impatiently.

Harry handed Severus another tumbler of Firewhiskey and bent over to peer closely between Severus' legs.

"Is that what I think it is?" Harry asked.

A long, wooden finger protruded from between Severus' legs. "You expect me to be amused by this atrocious excuse for a seating apparatus?"

"We need a chair like that!"

"We have a chair."

"I know, but we need something that's ours. Everything we have is yours."

"For God's sakes, Potter, I let you put up your Quidditch poster in the bedroom. There's no reason to acquire a chair carved in the shape of a hand."

They drank in silence.

Harry ran the list of hotel amenities through his head as he watched Severus squirm in the chair.

"They have a gym," Harry suggested as he brought back another double. Severus just looked down his nose at him as he drank.

"Hot tub?" Harry offered.

Severus shook his head no and held his glass out for a refill.

Harry sighed exasperatedly. "What do I have to do to get you out of those robes?!"

"Just ask."
