Piano

Sebastian was going to retire for the day when he suddenly heard a beautiful melody sounded from the music room of the Schiffer mansion. "I wondered who is playing it .The young mistress had already retired to bed just half an hour ago. If it is one of the maids, I'm going to ground her in her own room with only one meal a day for a week." He sighed and walked towards the music room.

When he arrived at the music room, he was wondering whether or not to knock on the door, as the melody sounded so peaceful and serene in his ears. Deciding that he would spare whoever was inside until the song was finished, he walked in without knocking.

When he entered, his eyes were wide with shock as he witnessed the young mistress of the house was actually the one who was playing the tranquil melody at the moment. He stood there quietly as he listened to the music silently and looking at his young mistress with an expression which was neither shocked nor angry. He just stood there, until the song is finished and the young mistress was staring out of the window in front of the white piano. Her beautiful face was pale under the moonlight.

"Nice song Stephanie-sama, but shouldn't you be in bed right now?" Sebastian approached Stephanie while saying so. "Oh, it is you." Stephanie replied, feeling a little astonished in her tone. "Stephanie-sama, you should go to sleep now, tomorrow will be a long day, with the meeting in the morning and the ball in the evening." Sebastian placed his gloved hand on her shoulder while urging her to go to bed. But, Stephanie didn't even budged. "I can't sleep, Sebastian." She drew out her words with a small whisper after a while.

Sitting beside her, Sebastian asked in a smooth voice, "Are you afraid? Afraid of meeting your twin sister, Stella Winterstone?" Stephanie didn't reply. She just sat there, motionless.

Gently wrapping his arms around her waist, Sebastian pulled her closer, and whispered tenderly in her ears, "Nothing will happen tomorrow, Stephanie-sama. With your planning and my skills, that younger sister of yours is going down with her husband. I ensure you with my honours." Upon finishing, he gently squeezed her hand as a reassurance.

Stephanie just let out a small chuckle and leaned closer to him. "Your words are always so encouraging." "Of course, after all, I'm a hell of a butler." Sebastian smiled, and gently kissed her on the forehead.

"Oh my, I lost my manners. I'm sorry, Stephanie-sama" Sebastian apologized when he has realised what he did just a minute ago. " Haha." Stephanie just giggled.

"So, can you go to sleep now, Stephanie-sama?"
