A short little one short, about something I learns while visiting Old Fort Jackson in Savannah GA. I hope you like it.

I don't own anything, cause this is fan right?

Arthur didn't see the point in coming to visit Alfred, there was a freaking war to be fighting. Then again Alfred seemed to be doing all he could for his people as well as the others. Besides, visiting some of Alfred's troops in training might not be such a bad idea. He might see what the oaf was teaching them. After all Alfred had a rather good war effort back in his lands, everyone was helping the drive, steering and cheering the men on.

Alfred had already given him a tour of the outside of the facility, and was now showing Arthur the things the soldiers learned inside. They walked by one room, and Arthur stopped, peering into the window on the door. He saw all the soldiers learning Morse code, but that's not what made him stop. Teaching them was a girl, a small one, maybe eleven or twelve, possibly thirteen. She wasn't dressed like most women and girls either. She was wearing a uniform, a bandana under her collar, and puffy pants, with knee high boots, with a hat to top it all off.

"Arthur?" Alfred had noticed the older nation had stopped and was peering in the window. "They're just learning Morse Code, what's so interesting in there?" Alfred asked like he had no clue who the teacher was.

"A bloody girl is teaching them." Arthur pointed out, and Alfred gave a some what weak smile.

"I wouldn't judge that fact, they better then anyone else. And I don't think her troop leader would like you saying that." Alfred said putting his hands in his pockets. "Look they've really been helping everyone out, and I mean everyone."

"A girl?" Arthur insisted.

"Shut up, Iggy. Their very skilled, in just about everything. They help fix and make telegraphs, they sent and receive messages." Alfred listened. "They have something to do in this war; aside from sit around and worry about what's happening to the men they love."

"And everyone's fine with it?" Arthur said eyeing the learning soldiers.

"The soldiers told to learn something, and they do, no matter who is teaching them. These girls are valued highly." Alfred said, before pulling Arthur away from the door and on with the tour. "No leave my Girl Scouts alone."

It's very true, my dear friends. In World War I, the Girl Scouts of America helped the war effort greatly. Juliet Gordon Low taught her scouts Morse Code so well, that girls were being sent around the nation to teach soldiers. They also helped make and fixed telegraphs and such thing as that. Soldiers were told to learn the material and for what most know, the girls were treated with great respect and not one was horribly mistreated. Also the Girl Scouts (Boy Scouts as well) helped lead a huge amout of the war effort back home. They helped woman who were then working in factories with chores and their children.

I figured I would write this because it falls in the Hetalia time line (all history does for the most part), and for the fact that I'm a Girl Scout of America as well. I threw Arthur in their cause he would probably be the only one to cut Alfred down but let things go as well, I don't know. Another thing, which I think is kinda funny. Juliet Gordon Low (the founder of Girl Scouts in America, as well as WAGS (something like that )) made a silent film called the Golden Eaglet, it was really funny to watch it now, but it basically showed what the girls did.
