I don't own Ghost Hunt. Nor do I hate Masako. I just felt like having Mai beat the crap out of her. :D
Mia glared at Masako for what seemed to be the hundredth that day. No one got under her skin like that self-centered, two-faced, little bitch. Mai fumed, black clouds radiated off of her, a clear warning to all around her to stay away. Far, far way.
Masako didn't notice the cloud though as she continued to make little snitty comments in Mai's direction through out the day and Mai, who normally is very easygoing with most people had been slowly pushed towards her breaking point. She pushed her past the point that Naru stops at.
John was the first out the door to escape the black cloud oozing from Mai. No one would have guessed the young priest could move that fast. Ayako and Bou-chan were the next through the door, pushing and shoving their way out. Even Lin found it imperative to escape the room into the recesses of his own offices. Only Naru and Masako seemed oblivious to the cloud around their head and the girl glaring daggers at Masako from her desk.
Another comment from Masako was all that was needed. "You good for nothing piece of shit. Say one more thing about me, one more and you will regret it." Mai's voice was completely calm which was scarier that if she had scream it in anger. That mixed with the black cloud sent Naru scurrying off into his office.
Masako wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed. She wasn't the brightest bulb in the light fixture, heck she wasn't even close to being the brightest but she couldn't get that bluntly obvious threat. Mai grabbed a hardcover book off her desk and leapt at Masako like a spider monkey hyped up on Mountain Dew. Before Masako could even think to defend herself Mai started swinging at Masako with all her might.
Screams of pain and plead for help could be heard by Lin and Naru from the safety of their offices. What scared them most was the screams of "YOUR GOING DOWN!!!" and the likes coming from the usually kind Mai.
It wasn't long before all was quiet in the other room again and Naru and Lin dared to peek out. Masako lay on the ground with a dictionary laying by her head. Mai sat calmly at her desk, working on the reports from their latest case as if nothing had happened moments before. Noticing them looking Mai smiled her normal bright smile.
"Can I get you some tea?" Her voice was calm and kind but after witnessing her snapping neither of the two men wanted to risk it. Shaking their heads they both retreated into the safety of their offices again. Mai just went back to work, humming happily and contently.
Masako woke up a day later with a concussion and a major fear of dictionaries and all things Mai.
