Artificial light: Realizations

Jedidiah sat on the roof of his car overlooking the hall of miniatures. It always got to him seeing the florescent lights reflecting of the railroad town-scape. It reminded him of how unreal they really were. This brought him about to the other realizations he had come to lately. He sighed pushing the thoughts back and turning to check everyone was still at the party to welcome the newest exhibit, Al Capone. Apparently they had forgotten what his gangs involvement had been in his captivity during the battle of the Smithsonian. Funny enough it was Sacajawea who seemed to anticipate the arrival the most but he'd rather not face any of that just yet.

"Jedidiah my friend is something the matter?" Octavius asked walking up to the brooding cowboy. "Naw just looking out to make sure nothing to bad happens" Jedidiah said brushing off the question. "Are you sure my friend?" Octavius asked sitting beside him knowing that was not all. "'An why would you care anyways toga-boy an't nuting that has ta do with you!" Jedidiah said angrily not wanting to answer the question.

"You are my friend Jedidiah and I m yours as you said before I am merely concerned" Octavius snapped back before restraining himself. "It has been bothering you for weeks so now I implore you please share with me what is wrong I wish to help you" Octavius pleaded in a softer voice.

Jedidiah's face scrunched up debating with what to share and what to keep back. "Back when I was in that their' hour glass," he started still debating what to say "Back their I had time ta think on all those things I wanted to do and what I would regret not doing the most and it's just got me thinkin' I guess and hear just makes me think again k toga-boy? So dun' worry your little head 'bout it" Octavius turned to look Jed in the face only to find him looking at his lap.

"What is it conclusion did you possibly reach that startled you so my friend?" Octavius wondered out loud as he marveled at him once again. "You really wanna know partner?" Jed asked seaming to make up his mind whether it was for the best or the worst he had yet to determine. "Yes my friend I worry about you greatly" Octavius answered his eyes meeting Jed's as he looked up. Jedidiah moved quickly before he could change his mind closing the distance between himself and his friend in a chaste kiss. At first neither moved but soon they were engaged in a kiss that left the two breathless.

"I realized what you mean to me and how much I waned ta tell ya toga-boy" Jedidiah said, burring his face in Octavius' neck. Octavius merely pulled closer rubbing his back "I feel the same for you Jedidiah I feel the same for you"
