Disclaimer: Man, I'm pretty sure I couldn't handle this show if I tried.

Reviews: are almost as cool as cake. The same goes for flames, though that's more because I've run out of comedians that I haven't seen, lately.

Light from the console spilled onto the Doctor's nose, over his cheekbones, and across his forehead. It caught in the shadows between his eyebrows and beside his mouth as he frowned, leaning just a little further into the TARDIS to fiddle with the machinery. The Doctor paused, then reached back to pat the floor beside him. The frown deepened, and he pulled back to look around. His gaze stopped. The mouth moved.

The world came back sudden clarity, as if someone had changed reality from 'slow-motion' to 'play'.

"Jack?" The brow furrowed. "You alright?"

"Uh, yeah." Bright, cheerful smile.

The Doctor peered at him suspiciously, but was apparently willing to let it go. "Pass me that, will you?" Gestured at Jack.

Oh.

Jack leaned forward to pass the tool in his hand. Didn't look at the open panel in front of him as the Doctor scooted back into the console, light spilling over his face.
