This is it guys, the finale to one of my earliest continuous fanfictions. I want the story to go on, but things are about to be wrapped up.
Hinata Hatake, one of the two mages of the Leaf Kingdom, has made her return from a year of being missing and to some, from being dead. She has a final score to settle with a demon of earth, Wolf. A demon that had cursed her at the age of thirteen to be his perfect and powerful bride, but she will not allow such a fate to happen. Hinata Hatake was ready to die for her Kingdom…
But will she actually have to go through with it this time?

Kakashi stood at the top of the castle, looking out into the horizon with the sun starting to hide behind the trees of the large forest that surrounded Konohagakure. He could feel it, he was almost sure that he could hear the oncoming storm that was demon kind. He looked below to other shinobi that had grown tense and to a few priest that had taken their stance at the entrance of the gates. His shizu began to burn about his insides and was about ready to burst out of him from the sudden rush of adrenaline. Without another hesitation, he jumped down and began to make his way to the stationary area, where he knew troops were waiting and preparing for a battle.
"Finally!" Naruto yelled as he ran up to the mage, who was taking longer and faster strides than usual. "I have been looking for you Mage Hatake," the blonde haired priest finally caught up to him and pulled out a few tags. "Protection," he explained as he slapped them on his chest. "You are stationed back with the other Anbu members that will try an ambush." He said lightly as he used a bottle of ink and his thumb to paint on other symbols. "We have no idea about the number and powers, but these should cover about any worse case scenario." Naruto looked at him, but he wasn't smiling and that was sure to throw Kakashi off. "She is a half demon; remember that." Kakashi continued to stand there in shock at the sudden fact that the priest had told him; he felt a sudden crushing weight on his shoulders.
Would he have to kill his student…his daughter?
Of course not; Kakashi shook his head. Hinata would never side with demons over her village and her family. There was no way that she could betray them; even when placed to death she spoke out of her love for her people and her village not matter how many times they turned their back on her. Kakashi continued on as the Priest walked off to bless other fighters.
As he rounded a corner he stopped when he saw Sakura standing under the cherry blossom tree and staring up at its bare petals. "Lady Sakura," he walked over to her. She shouldn't be outside now; she should be in cover with the rest of the civilians. "We must get you to cover."
"Sasuke will take me," she said back without looking to him. She picked up a few of the petals and tucked them away into her obi. "I am almost done, and then I will head to the council room."
"You are to be put in hiding to be sure that you are safe from harm." He explained as he looked over to the Akatsuki that hid in the shadows.
"I know where I will be as this battle occurs Mage Hatake," she said quietly as she collected more petals. "Only a quick meeting, then away I will go. No need to be a burden to my shinobi." She was so much…kinder than he last remembered. Not that Kakashi would call the heiress cruel, but she was born with very royal blood and teachings. "Come now Sasuke," she said as she began to walk away. Kakashi just stood there as Sakura stopped and looked back at him. "And bring me back a dead demon Mage."
"Yes," he bowed to her.
Sasuke smirked as he walked beside Sakura, "Rather bold, no?" He asked as he glanced to her. "Where shall you put him?"
"On a pike before the castle," she responded back confidently. "So that I may see him every morning before I go out for a walk in the village." She smirked lightly as they walked back into the castle and Sasuke couldn't help but chuckle.

Hinata was surprised at how fast the chunin and jonin were able to evacuate the village; she remembered learning several routes to get civilians out of the village in a matter of only an hour. The place was deserted and made it rather easy for her to infiltrate. She stopped in a village square, she could remember spending festivals with Kakashi here as the protected noble men and women from one another. She smiled when she recalled her falling out of the tree after the knuckle headed priest was trying to fight a soon to be Akatsuki. Hinata sighed as she walked around and continued to the large castle that loomed in the back. That was her main goal; Wolf would go there first and start to pick off anyone that had any information about her. She was sure of it.
"Oof!" Hinata stopped and sighed as she listened to light whispers and shuffling.
"Disobedient," she scolded as she turned back and glared at a building, "and Fools you three are."
The middle, blue eyed, temple maiden stepped out with a harsh stare, "We will not let you fight alone. We have been training for this moment!"
"I was not certainly let her go alone," the eldest, green eyed one said as she came out and crossed her arms over her chest. The youngest stepped out and hid behind the elder, her large brown eyes looking down in shame. "And it is too late to send us back," she explained, "we have already arrived."
"I will certainly not be responsible for what happens to you three," Hinata said as she turned away and walked forward. "I refuse to bear bad news to your Father that had done nothing but help me."
"You won't need to Mistress," the middle child said with a smile as she walked to catch up with her. "We will stand with one another as you take on the Great One."
"Do not call him that in her presence," the youngest whispered.
"Right, very sorry Mistress."
"Head the castle gates and take a stand before the front doors. Not one demon is to get passed you, understood?"
"Yes Mistress," the three said and went off ahead as Hinata continued to walk at her pace. She had time to waste; she could feel how far away he was in the distance. Hinata ran her hands through her hair and gave the ends a bit of a pull to remind herself she is still part human. Her hands went to the seals that were slapped on over one another and she could feel that all their powers combined was keeping her hidden and holding back a true power she felt rumbling in her chest. She pulled out four of her cards and with a toss in the air over her head and slapping her hands together; she released a barrage of senbon needles. Hinata let the cards fall to the ground as they burnt up from their final use. She had made make shift seal cards that didn't last long. She looked back and watched as three black scaled demons try to fight off death.
"First the weakest," she muttered as she slammed her foot down on one, killing it. "Then the strongest," she stepped on the back of its head, and waited till it went limp. "And then you," she looked to one that lied on its back and choked on blood while trying to pull senbons out of its eyes. "Where is he?"
"Dead," it hissed at her, "this kingdom will fall to i-ahhh!" It cried out as she dug her heel into its shoulders.
"You aren't going to live long enough," she said as she glared at the demon. "Is he leading the charge, or hiding behind his pathetic army?"
It smiled evilly, "The Master should be at the gates." It laughed and Hinata summoned her mother's katana and removed the demon's head from its body. She flicked the sword to get the blood off of it and walked off.
"I should have assumed." She said as she picked up her pace and began to run to the castle. "Always the show off." Hinata sheeted her katana and jumped up onto the top of the gate that had been sealed off with as much magic as it could. She peeled off one of the tags and she felt lighter as her arms burned lightly and her chest sizzled as the markings on her chest burned hot. She watched as guards scurried about to fight small demons that began to cause a distraction. She jumped down and calmly walked past and dodged attacks that were not meant for her. She watched as Kirigakure shinobi fought for Konoha, and she was surprised, but not very, to see shinobi in Sunagakure uniforms. Not that she had to worry about them, or even the demons. Demons recognized who she was and moved out of her way, until she came to the bumbling giant demon that stood in her way.
"Damnit Shino!" Kiba yelled as he set Akamaru on another strike for the things throat. "Can't you blind the thing?!"
Shino nodded and a swarm of wasps flew out from his sleeves. Hinata watched the little fight with mild amusement, since she had faith they could kill it, but the thing was more trouble than it is worth. Especially when a second and third came to aid in the fight; the things had an odd sense of loyalty to one another. Hinata summoned two daggers and quickly lunged and jumped at the thing, sticking it right in the heart and at least one lung. It fell back to the ground and she stood up and looked to the other two that had witnessed the whole thing. "Hatake." Shino said as the swarm flew about his legs.
"Hinata!?" Kiba yelled with shock. "I saw you get set on fire!"
"Shouldn't you be worrying about these two?" Hinata said as she pointed to the two black beasts. "They aren't that smart and a good stab to the hearts does the trick," she said and pulled off another tag. Her body straightened as a lulling pain swept over her and the two demons cowered a bit. "I have someone else to take care of," she began to walk off.
"We believe in you," Shino said as he pulled out two kunais.
"We always did Hinata," Kiba yelled with a large smirk. "Kick that demon's ass!" And then the two went on to fight as Hinata smiled to herself.
It was another mile until she found another few old friends; Shikamaru, Choji. They were unlucky since their fighters were rather cunning; cat demons. Hinata hated the cat demons since they were smart, rude, and refused to die sometimes. She wasn't recognized yet since she only had the power a little over the lower level demons. Hinata didn't really want to take part, but there was no way that she was going to have these two die on her hands. Then she saw that another cat demon was coming around to kill the two from behind. Hinata summoned a bow and arrow and with one quick shot, the cat demon fell out of the tree with an arrow through its head. She then aimed for the next two, but could only kill one another one since Shikamaru was in the way.
"Hinata!" Choji yelled as he looked back to see where the shot had come from. But then he heard Shikamaru yell since he was pinned by the cat. Choji made quick work of slamming into the side of the cat, knocking it away from him.
"You have really shitty timing," Shikamaru smirked as Choji helped him up. Hinata shrugged and shot another arrow at the other cat. "One whole year," he rubbed the back of his neck, "you didn't think it wise to contact us."
"I was dead, remember?" Hinata asked as she tossed the bow and arrows to Choji, "More of them are coming and try not to die."
"Thanks," Choji smiled at her. "For everything Hinata…"
"Don't bother," she said with a slight smile. "I'll be sure to thank you both for fighting in a battle that was my fault." She walked off past them as she pulled another tag off, her scars glow darker and she felt her hair stand up a bit. A slight shift in her bone structure, but not enough to notice yet; she hoped she didn't have to go any further.
"Thanks for coming back," Shikamaru said as he pulled out wire. "I knew you would."
"And that's why you're the smart one." Hinata said with a light smile. She walked off without another word and this time the cat demons noticed and avoided Hinata. She was more ready to fight anything that came to her but they were all scared of her and her easily angered mate. He may have tried to kill her, but that didn't mean that everyone else got a chance. Just as she made it closer to the castle's main garden she was knocked to the ground by having Lee thrown into her. Hinata quickly got him back to his feet as she summoned her ambush card of kunais and threw it at the black scaled demon with bright yellow eyes.
"You're slowing down…sensei," Hinata said as Lee looked at her with bright and watering eyes. "Come on, we have to focus on the mission."
"R-Right!" He shouted with tears in his eyes as he ran back to take care of the demon that TenTen was keeping back with a spear. Hinata was happy to enter the fight and knocked another scaled demon with a round house kick to its face. She laughed as TenTen let out a holler in approval at the act. She took out her katana and cut another one down as Lee threw one into the stone wall.
"I'm going to yell and cry the second we win this," TenTen yelled as she pointed on a path a large demon made to the castle front. "You go and stop that demon bastard!"
"Yes, sensei!" Hinata yelled as she ran off as another set of demons came for the two and Hinata tore off another tag. Her eyes shifted so that a slit of a black iris appeared and her hands became more claw-like. Her vision and hearing sharpened so much that she could still hear Shikamaru calling off orders to Choji and she could see the castle fronts. The scent of blood was thick in the air, and it left a funny taste in her mouth. She was only down to so many tags and she could feel Wolf suddenly realizing that she was much closer and angrier than he would have hoped. Hinata jumped over a fallen stone monster and crouched down as she scanned over the scene.
Sasuke Uchiha stood at the head of the battle with a winged black demon that stood about seven feet tall and had blood dripping out of its mouth. His brother and cousin were at his sides and all trying to take down three of these demons. Naruto fought off a seductress demon that was very close to setting the whole place on fire. She looked over to see that the three sisters were keeping up a ward to the castle and keeping out any demon that even looked at the castle. And then Hinata saw him.
She watched as he over looked the destruction of her home, just so he could try and lure her to a true death. Hinata reached for another tag, but that would defeat the purpose, wouldn't it? She wasn't a demon; she was supposed to kill the demons. But that was the best way for her to finally be on the same field. Hinata wanted nothing more than to beat Wolf at his own game. She wanted to see the look of terror on his face when he saw that he made the wrong woman a demon. She stood taller as she moved so that she stood over the stone monster and unsheathed her katana.
"Wolf!"
The look on his face was calm and collected, like he was expecting such an entrance. He turned his head and let his eyes scan over the woman with his dark eyes. "And the guest of honor finally arrived to the get together that I was having." He smirked. "You…You look like you have risen from the dead." He laughed as his demons began to calm down and back away since they knew that he wanted to have a fight of his own and be the center of attention. The other shinobi looked to her with wide eyes, but were happy that she finally decided to show. "I would have hoped that you would have gotten rid of that awful hair cut you got."
"Like you said," she said with steely eyes, "I just woke up from the dead."
"What a hypocritical whore you are, my little slut," he spat out each word as he came down and walked forward. "Always calling my gift a curse and now you are using it." He grinned as she walked forward and a few of the demon charms she had helped make began to go off. They were blinded by lights, but Wolf and Hinata kept their eyes locked. "But I guess a demon can only face a demon."
"I just thought you wouldn't be stupid enough to attack Konoha."
"The Kirigakure shinobi were a surprise," he said lightly with a sigh. "But Konoha isn't my priority; it never was."
"You need to learn how to let go Wolf," she said as she held out her katana in a defensive position. "I won't be your mate, nor will I let you leave this village." She smirked as her teeth sharpened a bit to make her look more like a canine. "But don't worry," she motioned over to the three sisters that still held the barrier against the gate, "someone wants your wretched company."
"That temple is nothing but a small crowd of admirers," he allowed himself to become more and more demonic, his body slowly shifting into that of a six tailed wolf. "Nothing but an annoyance," he growled out as his voice got deeper and harsher in tone. A low growl came from his throat as he snarled. She never backed down though; Hinata kept her place and keep a few deep breathes as her eyes focused on him. "Come now my dear mate!" He roared out as everyone backed away from this fight, "Either allow me the honor to love you, or finally kill you!"
Hinata smirked, "Then come and get me," she charged at him with her katana drawn back. She dodged his swinging paw and got a clear shot to impale him in the chest, but her katana got stuck. "Damn bastard," she tried to tug it out, but a paw smacked her away and she crashed into the stone wall that surrounded the castle. She pulled herself out of the wall and staggered a bit to stand; that didn't hurt as much as she would have thought. "How neat," she smiled as she looked to her cracked skin, "instant earth protection." She looked to Wolf as he roared out and more demons began to swarm. "Unfair," she watched as they began to get closer, "and I thought you had a bit more class." She was about to attack but a large fire ball came and blocked off the demons, most of them stopped and cried in agony.
Once it dissipated, she looked over to see Sasuke and Itachi, "You just worry about Wolf," Itachi said as he and Sasuke pulled out their own katanas. "We will worry about the others."
"Come on Hinata!" Naruto yelled as he stood beside her and smiled, "You came back for a reason, so do your job." He reached to the back of her neck and pulled off the last of the tags. Hinata cringed as the power surged through her and she began to change in body form. Her tattoos burned red and began to cover her whole body. "Remember," he said as her backed away, "if you don't change back…I'll have to take care of you." Hinata heard but couldn't respond as she morphed into a wolf body with dark blue fur and bright purple eyes. She snarled as her clothes shredded away and stood in a wolf form.
Hinata growled as her skin began to steam and she was suddenly on fire. She charged at Wolf and was strong enough to knock him to the side and burnt his fur and skin. He roared in pain and Hinata wasted no time in shooting electricity through her and into Wolf. It was enough to catch him off guard. She jumped off of him and growled to get his attention. Wolf staggered to regain his stance and glared as his body began to be surrounded by wind and he charged at her. Hinata stood her ground and began to move the ground more and shoot boulders at the white wolf. "You really think that you can beat me!?" Wolf growled as he dodged the boulders and sent wind tornados at her. Hinata jumped away from most of them but was hit and thrown back into the gardens. "I am the ruler of this realm," he said with a dark smile and red eyes. "I control the elements of this realm and hold the life of humans in my hand!" He growled out and watched the blue wolf get back to her feet and shook the dirt off of her. "You are nothing! You were below nothing until I blessed you, but your idiocy is your downfall. How dare you think you could reject me and live!?"He laughed and knocked her into the courtyard with the dieing Sakura tree at the top of a hill. "It is so humorous how you think that you are a match!" He watched as she stood again and rushed at him. He dodged but she was quick on her feet and jumped at him and bit into the back of his neck and tried to tear into the back of his neck. Wolf growled in pain as she dug her claws into his back and began to push electricity through him. "You little bitch!" He shook her off and snarled as she landed back on her feet, "You want to play like that!?" He lunched and bit her, taking her into his mouth. He snarled and shook her back and forth as his jaws tore into her. After what seemed like so long, he tossed her into the tree, where she lied there whimpering and trying to stand. Wolf morphed back into a human form and walked over to her. "What will you do now…Hinata?" He stood tall, even with a katana going through his chest.
"Finally," she said lightly as she slapped a bloody paw against the tree, leaving her blood, "be rid of you."
"You can't kill me," he smirked as she slowly got up.
"Who said," she laughed lightly, "anything about killing you?" She asked and quickly grabbed hold of the hilt of her katana with her jaws, spun him around, and embedded him into tree. Her blade was going right through her bloody paw print. "Blessed be…the god of the earth." She staggered back to the ground and Wolf began to struggle to be free.
"Mistress!" The youngest ran over to her with a bright smile, "You got him!" She smiled brightly as she ran and quickly placed a tag under his feet and wrote out in blood while Wolf continued to curse and yell to be let go. "You are to be prayed to now Great One!"
"I will kill you! I will destroy this realm!" He yelled as the tree began to grow around him. He struggled and cursed as he was held capture by the tree. The elder sisters joined the younger as they surrounded the tree and created a seal around the tree with black writings burnt into the ground and the trees flowers that still fell from the tree turned a pure white instead of the pink they were supposed to be. Hinata smiled as she got back to her four feet, but she felt a sudden shift in her body. It was dark…it was so dark and warm in her chest. Her pupils sharpened more and she felt her breathing calm and her heart rate slow. All her pain from her wounds began to fade as she stood there and flexed every part of her body. It was such a different feeling in her chest as she watched the three priestesses bind Wolf to the tree for a very long time. She let out deep breaths as her body was fixed and something clicked in her brain.
"Demons need a leader," she growled out as her blue fur stood on end and a few of the black scaled demons that were once attacking, began to approach her; they crawled over to her, showing their submissive nature to her. She let out a loud and resonating bark that nearly knocked the three girls off their feet. Once they finished the seal, the looked over to her with shock. "How pitiful of a demon he was. Thinking he was good enough to be a mate for me." Hinata laughed as more demons began to approach her in hordes. "If only he could have killed me!" She laughed more as her eyes lost their colored irises and just left a slit of a black pupil. "And now what of his army!?" She turned and faced the hordes and the shinobi that took notice to such a dark power. "An army will not be wasted! Not under-" she grunted as she suddenly cut herself off and staggered a bit to keep her balance.
"Mistress!" The middle child yelled as the elder held her back. "You must fight the poison! You are better than your demon blood! Do not let it take you after all that work!"
"R-RUN!" Hinata yelled as her purple irises came back and she looked to the crowd of her peers and fellow shinobi with panic. "You all must run before it is too late! RUN!" She yelled as a black aura began to surround her and she thrashed about trying to rid of the thoughts in her head.
"Hinata!" Kakashi yelled as he pushed through the crowd and ran over to the larger than average blue wolf. "Hinata," he slid to his knees as he was before her and held her muzzle. "Hinata please, you cannot do this. You faked death and ran from your home to save us…please do not throw that away in this moment."
"I-I can't," she stressed as she hissed in pain and the demons began to eye up the shinobi and waited for their command. "Out!" Hinata yelled as she looked to the demons, "Out of my village before I kill you all! "I will not allow weaklings to take what is mine!" Her voice became hoarse and dark with a smirk on her face. The demons ran without the slightest bit of hesitation at the command. Hinata growled at Kakashi and smirked as he was still kneeled there, with the same look on his face. "The human is gone you wretch of a mage. Only a demon stands before you!" She barked and a burst of wind came from her mouth and caused Kakashi to fly back. He landed on the top of what remained of a stone wall with worry and sorrow in his eyes.
This is what he truly feared.
"Dear Konohagakure," She eyed all the shinobi that looked to her with fear and confusion, "Today is the day…your Kingdom…will…FALL!" She yelled as she swiped her paw and sent a wave of earth at them. Many got away, but a few were knocked away by the wave. She laughed as she began to charge at the closest group with her body spitting out bolts of lighting and fire. She took one shinobi in her mouth and tossed her into another group, his blood falling as he flew. Hinata laughed as she went for the priests that were trying to stop her and contain her. She took in a deep breath and shot a ball of fire at them. It was stopped by the eldest Uchiha, who had cut right through it. "I guess I will have to kill you first." Hinata scoffed as she set her sights on Itachi. Sasuke and Tobi were quick to jump in, along with any other able shinobi, but she was faster and stronger than all of them combined. She would dodge, attack, and then counter.
Hinata was only knocked down when she ran into a wire ambush and she was tied down on her side. Shikamaru stood on her shoulder and glared at her. "You are not a demon! Snap out of it!"
"We are sorry Mistress!" the eldest sister yelled as she held down her muzzle and the middle child was on top of her. "Quickly Nao! Place down the seal!" Hinata thrashed and Nao, Shikamaru, and the eldest sister were barely able to get away before Hinata set her whole body on fire again. "Did you get it!?"
"No Ren! She burnt it right out of my hands!" Nao said with tears pooling in her eyes. "Koi!" she looked over to the younger one. "Containment! Now!"
"Yes" the younger one nodded and jumped before a flaming Hinata. Her eyes turned a bright blue and she spread her body big as she began to chant. Hinata snarled and glared as she went to charge at her, but she was stopped by a blue wall. She spun around and tried to get out, but she was in a large dome. She breathed fire, shot lightning, tossed rocks, and blew air at the walls in hopes to break them down. But as long as the younger sister was in full concentration, she was stuck.
"Come on dobe!" Sasuke yelled as he wiped the blood from his nose. "Time to do that thing you have been training your whole life to do!"
"Right!" Naruto jumped in and began to recite the prayer as he pointed his staff at Hinata. "Come on Hinata," he said as the orb on his staff began to glow with energy, "one last chance-"
"I don't need it." she said darkly as her eyes began to spark with the black aura and the bubble began to crack.
"Don't make me do this!" He pleaded as everyone watched. TenTen felt the tears fall, but she didn't look away. She didn't at the burning and she wouldn't now.
Kakashi watched as Gai was helping him get back to his feet. He held on tight to Gai. This was it. It was his nightmare all over again. He couldn't do anything to protect her; Kakashi had to really watch his only student die before his eyes. He didn't know it, but he was crying too.
"A dangerous game you are playing." Hinata said as the walls gave away more as Koi began to get a nose bleed from trying to keep it in tact.
"I'm sorry!" Naruto yelled to anyone that needed it. "Please…forgive me Kami! I don't want to kill her. Please!" He cried as he remained there pointing at her, "Please don't make me kill you Hinata-kun!"
Something snapped in Hinata, as the bubble burst and her eyes went back to their regular purple. She stared into Naruto's deep blue eyes. "N-Naruto-chan…?" Hinata asked as her mind was clouded with a fog. He lowered his staff as Hinata's stance grew less threatening and she slouched forward with defeat. She was tired…all her energy was gone and she didn't know from what. Before she even knew it, Nao slapped a tag on the back of her neck and Hinata cringed as a shock went through her body and caused all her muscles to tense up with pain. The fog went away. The dark voice went away and her body was covered again in all her wounds and she passed out from the pain. Her body painfully went back to its human form, leaving her bare to the crowd. Kakashi quickly ran over and draped his cloak over her body and carefully picked her up.
"Bring the wounded to the medical wing," Kakashi called out orders, with him being the highest rank on the field. "Priests survey and make sure all demons are gone and protection is placed back up. Once these grounds and the village are safe, take word to the bunkers so that we may get everyone home as soon as we can." After that, he turned and walked off towards the castle. He didn't bother to see if anyone had listened to him, but they all did and were happy that someone decided to take the lead. Once he was far enough away, he looked back down at Hinata. "You truly are my one weakness. Even when you were going to wipe out this whole Kingdom…I could not stand up to you." He smiled sadly as he looked to her unresponsive face and how awful it was that she was like this. "Don't leave me Hinata…I'm still not ready to let you go. Don't leave me."

"How long will that seal hold?"
"Back when we first met the Mistress," Koi said with a light voice as she stood at the foot of Hinata's bed with her two older sisters behind her. "We would get a higher dosed seal about every two months," she looked over to Ren, the eldest one; "this one is rather powerful though."
"This one should hold for a year with her current growth," Nao explained as she kept her eyes on Hinata's still face. The girl was completely wrapped in gauze and had been out for a matter of two days. "Then we will need to give her a new one."
"That will be her life," Kakashi asked as he was seated at her bedside. "Trying to keep back the demon blood in her system?"
"Since she had unlocked her demon form once, it should be easier for her to keep it back," Ren said lightly as she looked to Kakashi. "She knows what it sounds like, how it feels, what it will do, and hopefully what to do to keep it at bay." She looked over to her two sisters, "We have overstayed our welcome. The Mistress will not be waking for a while and it would be best if we go back to the temple to tell the Father that The Great One is captive here in Konohagakure."
"So," Shikamaru said as he leaned against the wall, "Wolf is still alive…and in the center of the castle grounds?"
"In a sense he is," Nao said lightly with a smile. "It is like he is a very deep sleep without the chance of ever waking up from it." She said with smile at them and then walked over to Hinata's side and grabbed her hand. "We'll come back for you," she bent down and gave her a light kiss on the forehead.
"Where can we speak to your Hokage?" Koi asked lightly as she looked over to Sasuke.
"The main room up by the entrance," he said as he began to walk off in that direction. "I will escort you to her." They exited the room and left Kakashi and Shikamaru in the room with the sleeping mage.
"The doctor said that she should be out for a week," Shikamaru said not looking over to Kakashi, who was focused right on Hinata. "We do have to take some other missions and work of rebuilding."
"Right," Kakashi said as he stood up and pated Hinata's arm. "I'll come back to see you before night Hinata." He said to her and then followed Shikamaru out of the room.
Hinata was alone in the medical room in the western wing of the castle with nothing but her own sleeping thoughts. Her sleep was peaceful but every once in a while there would be that dark voice in her head that was soothing, almost too soothing to be trusted. It talked her though the endless hours of her subconscious mind. It told her that the world she lived in was quaint, but she could do so much better. It said that she would do so much better in a forest, or as a queen. It was something about how powerful she was but there was nothing that could really stop her…but then it would laugh and saw how much that her friends must miss her. Hinata could never talk back to the voice though; there was nothing more infuriating than having to listen to this voice say such things. Even though not all of them were bad, but it was still very wrong.
Hinata cringed and tensed as another painful sensation run through her whole body, like her blood was fire. She gritted her teeth and the voice mused her there was anyone around her to see her in such pain. Maybe no one was with her? Why would someone stand around someone who won't wake up? Hinata would think that maybe Kakashi was watching over her since he had a knack for always trying to watch over her. She thought they were trying hard to wake her up and question her about what had just happened. Or now, the three sisters have explained everything in hopes that it would keep her from another public execution. She yelped when she felt like she was being bitten by Wolf again, his sharp teeth ripping through her flesh and then she felt that painful landing again. She relived pain so vividly in this state. Hinata tried to wake up, but nothing seemed to be working. Hinata worried that she may not wake up for a very long time.
One sole body calmly walked into the room, heading straight for the only occupied bed in the room. His two shadows decided to wait outside the doors, knowing their Kage wanted privacy, but they did their best to keep an eye on him. He fixed his chair so that it was seated so that he could face her, and he sat down lightly. He took off his hat and ran his hand through his blood red hair. "I am rather disappointed that you did not call me to aid in this war…the Mizukage has informed me and asked if I could spare a few shinobi." Gaara said as he sat back the chair and placed his hat on his lap. "I was very jealous to be honest with you." He blushed lightly as he thought back to the message he got from the Mizukage that was basically him gloating first and then asking for his help. "But…I can understand why. I saw the demon, and made sure to stop by and tell him I was still mad about before." Gaara sat forward a bit and looked down at her face. She seemed to be in slight pain, but nothing too serious. "You try to protect me too much."
"Lord Kazekage," Gaara looked back to see Haku standing there with a smile on his face as he walked forward to join him. "We are needed in the Hokage's study. The three women that came to aid the mage here are explaining exactly what has happened." He took off his hat and bowed his head to Hinata, "I hope to see you when you are better…Hinata."
"She rejected us both," Gaara said as he glanced over to the brown haired male. "You think she would ever give either of us a chance?"
"Oh no," Haku said as he shook his head and smiled, "Mage Hinata has a duty to her village before anything." He softened his smile as he looked to Hinata's sleeping face, "she would never let anything get in the way of her purpose."
"I guess it was foolish to hope," Gaara said as he stood. "Shall we be off?"
"Certainly," he nodded and waited for Gaara to take the lead before following. Neither looked back, knowing that the both wanted to but had to try and fight that feeling for a while. Until they were no longer in the other's company.
The room was again set in silence as the mage slept. The voice decided to leave her be. But Hinata didn't sleep for long.
Once night began, Hinata forced her eyes open. She sat up and inspected her mummified body. Hinata moved each limb and digit to be sure that they all still worked; she walked the room, than she ran about the room, and then she began a work our regimen that she made up back when she was at the farm. Hinata gave the first shift nurse a scare while she was standing on her hands with her back pressed against the wall.

"So…" Lee said with some curiosity, "this will be the new temple…to that demon?" He asked as he and TenTen sat on the stone wall across from the plot of land that had been dedicated to the temple. Just across from the temple was the Sakura tree that held the demon in place. "Why would they praise a demon?"
"It's rumored among this…group," TenTen explained, "that he wasn't always a demon, but his hate of how the lands were being treated turned him into one. Something about how they should be able to cleanse his soul if they pray and dedicate their lives to him," TenTen said with a shrug as she kicked her legs back and forth. "All I know is that the Priests are not happy with it."
"I cannot see why they refuse to embrace such an idea," Lee said with a smile, "the true power of youthfulness is an open mind."
"You'll be blabbering on about youthfulness until you're an old man," she said with a laugh as she rolled her eyes.
"And even then it will still be true." He smiled at her and gave her the thumbs up.
"Don't you two ever work?" Shikamaru said with a yawn as he was leaned against the wall. "I'm writing reports every waking hour, and you two get to run around giggling and gossiping." He scoffed and smirked as he glanced up to see them.
"You, write reports," TenTen shot back with a scoff. "More like you napping in the office room when no one is there."
"I guess you two have already spoken to Hinata." He said as he pushed off the wall and shoved his hands into his pockets.
"First ones," Lee said with a smile, "as her senseis, we have a right to see her before anyone else." Shikamaru smirked. Lee's smiled lightened, "She was so happy to be home."
"I heard Hinata is going to be under heavy watch since she did run off from the village…not that anyone knew. And then something about how she was going to also has to come this temple and tries to learn to control herself." TenTen added as she jumped down. "She has all the priests breathing down her neck too."
"Well, it's the best any of us could do for her," Shikamaru said with a sigh. "I just hope that Lady Sakura does not come to face Hinata." He glanced over to the two that had worried looks on their faces. "What?"
"After Hinata finished explaining her story to the elders and Hokage…she was called away to see Lady Sakura, in private."
"Kami have mercy."

Hinata made a light wince when the pink haired girl gave her a hard slap across the face and then another on the other cheek. "You are supposed to be dead!" Sakura yelled at her with a glare on her face and tears rolling down her cheeks. "You were ordered to die on the stake and stay in the ground where Naruto buried you!" She cried as Hinata just looked at her with her big dark lavender eyes. Sakura wanted to be furious with the mage but there was that burst of happiness when Sakura heard word around the safe houses that the dead mage had saved them. Then, there was the feeling of pure bliss, sadness, happiness, and utter hatred. For a year she had resented and missed her mage. She had grieved for a whole year and was finally trying to move on with her life and then the mage comes back into her life. Sakura refused to acknowledge the idea she was alive. Then she saw her walking the halls with jonin around her. Then she heard her lovely voice when she was accepting her punishment from the council. Sakura finally called the mage to her room. She needed to get out what she had been holding in. "Mage-baka!"
"Yes…My Fair Lady?" Hinata spoke slowly as Sakura seemed to be stopped. Her heart nearly exploded at the title that Sakura order to be called.
"You…You are an awful person…" Sakura whimpered as she began to cry more and more. Sakura quickly embraced her and cried into her shoulder. "A whole year! You were alive and I cried over you!" she sobbed as Hinata embraced the girl and listened to her to talk. "I missed you so much and I visited your grave. I would dream about you," her words were muffled by Hinata's long sleeved dark blue shirt that came down under her bottom. She also wore black leggings and hunting boots. "They want me to marry another royal Mage-baka," Sakura looked to her with big teary green eyes.
"It is your duty My Fair Lady," Hinata said as she stroked the girl's back. "You are to marry a man that will make a great King to your Kingdom."
"I do not need a King," she said as she clutched the mage tighter. "I need my Mage. I only want my Mage."
"You do not need me," Hinata looked down at her and smiled lightly, her cheeks still pink. "You will do great with a King at your side."
"I will not love him," she said as she grabbed Hinata's face. "I can't love anyone else besides my Mage." Sakura looked into Hinata's eyes, like she would read her answer there.
Hinata closed her eyes and pressed her forehead against Sakura's and took her hands into hers. "My duty is to this Kingdom." Sakura didn't know how to react to that. What did it mean?
"You're duty," Sakura closed her eyes and whispered back, "is to me, and only me. And I shall be yours to do with as you please, Mage. My body is your Kingdom to protect and love until one of us is no more." She opened her eyes lightly but Hinata's eyes were still closed as she was contemplating the idea. Sakura felt her cheeks flush as she moved Hinata's hands to her hips and put her hands on the mage's shoulders. "Take me."
Hinata blushed pink as she slowly opened her eyes. "You are filthy, My Fair Lady."
Sakura closed her eyes as her cheeks, ears, and neck turned a dark shade of red. "Then help me cleanse, dear Mage. Wash me of my sin for one night."
Hinata sighed as she moved her hands to hold Sakura's head and placed a chaste kiss. "Your teachers are waiting for you." Hinata moved Sakura's hands from her shoulders and smiled as the girl pouted while still blushing. "Shall I escort you? Or will you use the moment to take advantage of me."
"I am a Lady, dear Mage," she said. "You shall be the one that will take advantage of me and I will happily allow you to ravage me in an empty hall." She turned away and began to walk away.
"You will have that mouth washed with soap at this rate My Fair Lady," Hinata called.
"And I shall have you tied to my bed sooner or later, dear mage," she said back before the doors closed behind her. Hinata shook her head as she tried to rid her face of the hard blush on her cheeks. What was with Hinata and her ability to woo the nobles?
She really needed that to stop.

Hinata walked back to her familiar home. It was her first night back since she was kept under constant watch in the medical wing. She was happy to be home. All Hinata wanted was to read her books, sleep in her bed, and spend a night with her sensei. She walked up to the home with a smile on her face and instantly lied down on the front porch with a happy sigh. Her whole body was at ease as she looked over to the tree that still stood there. "I have missed you." She said with a smile as she starred at the tree.
Kakashi smiled as he starred back at her with tears in his eyes. "I've missed you too."
"Can we drink green tea?"
"There's already some made."
"And…can I hear about Yoru day?" She asked as she sat up and Kakashi jumped down from the tree.
"I can't wait to tell you about it." Kakashi walked over to her and held out his hand.
"I'm going to read your books when you fall asleep." She said with a smile as she allowed herself to be pulled up and embraced him.
"I'll be sure to catch you in the morning."
(The End)
